So Wrong by Abby Millsaps is a captivating start to The Boys of South Chapel series! This book is a whirlwind of emotions, steamy romance, and complex relationships that will keep you hooked from start to finish. If you feel like you’ve met Hunter before, YOU HAVE! She’s Joey’s BFF from Abby’s Boys of Lake Chapel series (now complete!)

Hunter, Greedy, and Levi's tangled past and present make for a gripping narrative. The story alternates between their high school days and now, revealing deep connections and lingering pain. The chemistry between the characters is intense and electric! 🔥

Greedy’s possessiveness and Hunter’s internal conflict are portrayed with raw emotion. One of the most powerful moments is when Greedy declares to Levi, "She's mine." It sets the stage for the emotional rollercoaster that follows.

If you're a fan of second-chance romances, steamy love triangles turned harems, and stories that tug at your heartstrings, So Wrong is a must-read. Dive into the passionate, drama-filled world of South Chapel and prepare to be swept away!

This is the first book in Abby's new series The Boys of South Chapel. Abby has a way of drawing you in from the start of her books. This one was no different. Her characters are so good and she has a way of making you feel so connected and attached to them. I absolutely loved Levi. He's just so sweet. I can't wait to read the next book in the series especially after that cliffy!!

I absolutely loved this audio. It was fantastic and the narrators did such a great job bringing this story to life.

Have I mentioned how much I hate cliff hangers?! No really though, I can see why the author ended it this way. It was the perfect place to stop to leave us wanting more. This book surprised me in a lot of ways but I could also see some portion of it coming, too. The vibes were there and it built up to some main events pretty well. The mystery at the beginning drug on a tad longer than it needed to but other than that it was pretty good.

This was my first Abby Millsaps's book, and won't be my last. This is the first installment in the Boys of South Chapel Series. Hunter, Greedy, and Levi's story is passionate, complex, and filled with angst, and twists and turns. The characters are enigmatic, and well developed. The plot is intriguing. The back and forth past to present is well done, and easy to follow. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to the next book in the series. June DeBorahae, J. River Pierce and Liam Dicosimo did a great job bringing these characters, and this story to life. I enjoyed it. #ValentinePR

So Wrong is the first book in the "Boys of South Chapel" series. It is a second chance, fake dating, why choose romance. Greedy and Hunter have a past and were good together as teens till something came between them and tore them apart. Then there is the chemistry building between Hunter and Levi. I enjoyed seeing glimpses of them in the past it helped bring the story together. This story is full of drama. It's an emotional roller coaster ride and has some steam. You get all the feels. However I was left with so many questions unanswered, and that cliffy!?! Just wow! I need book two ASAP.

June DeBorahae, J River Pierce and Liam Dicosimo did a great job bringing this story and these characters to life.

I listened to this book in one afternoon. I could not put it down till it was over. I loved just about everything about this book. The narrators did an amazing job on this. All three made this book come to life in a way that was easy and interesting to listen to.

Hunter is our FMC and she is back living at her step fathers house after being away for 3 years and going to college to be a lawyer. Also living at home is her step brother Greedy our first MMC, whom she has a past with unknowingly to their parents. The book starts out with their struggles being around each other and eventually we are introduced to our second MMC Levi Greedy's best friend. There is tension, secrets, and all kinds of emotion in this book. This story is told with a lot in flash backs and done very well. This is a trilogy so it is left off in a cliffhanger.
I cannot wait to get to the next book to see what happens.

I was given an ALC to listen to and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The premise sounded intriguing but unfortunately this book didn't do it for me. The constant flashbacks made it difficult to stay focused on the story. I found the main character to be quite off-putting - while I don't doubt that she had been very traumatised by her unloving mother and had gone through one particularly terrible event which was revealed near the end, she came across as quite 'whiny' throughout the book. Even the narrator's tone was constantly on the verge of crying. The relationships with the male leads were left undeveloped, and the 'why choose' element felt like the male characters were kind of forced into it because they loved the female character.

Overall Thoughts: I was not prepared for this book. It was a little difficult to follow at first with all the flashbacks and learning all the characters early on in the book, but once that all settled down, it took me on a journey that is unforgettable for our main characters. While this is a Why Choose romance, that doesn’t really come into play until later in the book, so just be prepared for the slow burn. Even though these characters are young, they have all been through a lot emotionally, and this only continues as they all come back together after parting ways after high school. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and now I need book two on audio so I can get over the massive cliffhanger.

Due to the nature of this book, please check the content warnings

Hunter has been through a lot in the last few years, having fled to Europe when her life imploded, leaving behind the boy she loved, for his own good, and to run from a secret she never wanted to have. Her stepfather wants to help her out, more so than her mother ever has. Hunter wants to keep her head down and work on catching up with her studies after taking a few years off.

She never imagined returning home would put her two doors down from the first boy she loved but could never have. Even though she knows she should stay away, she is pulled towards Greedy in a way she can’t explain. When Greedy’s best friend from high school, Levi, returns to town for surgery, Hunter impulsively says they are dating to keep Levi’s mother off his back and offers to help him recover.

Hunter and Levi were always friends, but the fake dating is starting to seem all too real, and while Greedy stated he is willing to do whatever it takes to win Hunter back, there is a secret between them that could destroy the tenuous peace between them, and that is before a couple of unexpected visitors reappear in Hunter’s life, making things all the more complicated.

(Audiobook)

I enjoyed this book and its twists and turns. It goes through two different timelines of their lives. I kinda wish it didn’t go back and forth soooo much. But I still understood what happened and where. There’s a cliffy at the end of the book. And it’s quite a slow burn. The audio was great. Some of the narrators doing opposite gender voice or an accent wasn’t the best. But it was still very good.

Oh my god. This was AMAZING.
I read her previous series, and for some reason waited to read this series (I blame my tbr).
Please. Don’t make my mistake.
I listened to the audiobook and it was perfection. Narrators were distinct, and I loved their voices. I listen on 2ish x usually, and it works wonderfully.
I’m literally downloading book 2 now because I am chomping at the bit for more.

Publisher's summary
No wrong moves.
Those were the words the first boy I ever loved whispered in my ear on graduation weekend.
Naively, I believed him. Now those three little words feel like a bad omen I can’t escape.
Every move I’ve made since I returned to South Chapel hurts my ex-boyfriend, Greedy. But it’s for his benefit. That’s what I tell myself. Intentionally hurting him is for the best.
It has to be. I said goodbye to the possibility of forever with him the moment my mom and his dad “introduced us” at their engagement dinner.
Three years have passed, but that doesn’t matter to Greedy. He’s hell-bent on making sure I remember it all.
On my darkest nights, the memories win. Since his bedroom is just two doors down, he’s the anchor I seek when it all feels like too much.
But now Greedy’s best friend is back in town, and he and I are “dating” to get his meddling mother off his back. Not only is Levi my new fake boyfriend, but he’s also our new roommate too.
No wrong moves, Greedy assured me years ago.
What if there are no right moves either?

3.5 - The audio was a 3 and the story was a 4. I enjoyed the story but I struggled a bit with both of the MMCs narrators, I didn't really care for either of them and especially their southern accents. I did really like the FMC narrator.

That cliffhanger tho! Looking forward to book 2!

First of all, I didn’t expect a book with a cover like this to have so many trigger warnings…and then the spice happened too 🥵 this was equally spicy and heart wrenching. The cliffhanger is just cruel. I can’t wait to read the second book now! But not until I go cry in the corner over the first one…

So Wrong is the first book in the Boys Of South Chapel Series. It's an addictive, sweet, cute, spicy, college sports, why choose romance. Before you scare away with the why choose let me explain. It is done in the most subtle, flowing transition, that just truly fits the narrative. You get to know both MMC’s from their past and present, you get to feel their love for each other (as best friends) and for Hunter. I truly thought Millsaps did this FABULOUSLY.

I have never read a why choose like this. Usually it's all filth and smut. This book is entirely different. Don't get me wrong there are some scenes, but they are sprinkled throughout masterfully at the right time. There is an actual story to follow and a plot. You will fall hard for these characters..

I loved all the twists and turns the author added into the book, it just truly added to me being unable to put this book down. That cliffhanger… Abby… I can't wait for the second book !

🎧 The narration by June DeBorhae, J River Pierce & Liam Dicosimo was amazing. I loved them all together. I thought they meshed well together. They had the right tones, emotions and truly brought the characters to life.

𝐒𝐨 𝐖𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 is the first book in the Boys of South Chapel series by @abbymillsaps , featuring a steamy, fake dating, football romance. Hunter is back in her hometown, living down the hall from her ex-boyfriend Greedy and his best friend Levi. Being near Greedy is hurting them both, but their history is complicated. When Levi needs a buffer from his overbearing mother, Hunter jumps in as his fake girlfriend. Greedy said there were no wrong moves once, but in an emotionally charged world full of secrets and fragile hearts, what are the right moves?

This was my first book by this author, and I was impressed by the depth of the emotion and raw angst in each character’s story. The flashbacks were employed very effectively to slowly fill in the gaps while building anticipation at the same time. Hunter is a bit of an enigma. In some ways, she’s strong and she definitely has a big heart, but you can tell that she is fighting some inner demons. I struggled with some of her decisions, past and present, based on how they impacted other people. I’m all about communication, and yet, she’s so young. Greedy is one of those sweet guys that you want to hug, because he deserves better than what he’s been given, quite frankly. I loved Levi, as well. He was such a good friend to Hunter, and so deserving of true acceptance. I was sucked into the drama, heartache, and twists as their bonds changed, and the sparks flew! While I’m not a fan of cliffhangers, I’m glad to know the 2nd book just released, so I don’t have to wait for more!😅

I listened to the audio version, narrated by June deBorahae, J. River Pierce, and Liam DiCosimo, and I was impressed with the way they embodied all 3 main characters and their complex emotions in both time frames. They were also able to convey the contentious relationships with a couple of the parents in the story. After the doozy of a cliffy, I can’t wait to hear more!!

I received an ALC for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I will admit, I did not read the full description before requesting this book...

What a pleasant little surprise I got! 😏

This was so addicting. I listened to the entire book in one sitting because I just could not get enough. I'm always a bit hesitant with the why chose trope because I always end up liking one guy more than the others but, I'm pretty sold on everyone so far.

I really liked that the author didn't dive right into the spice. I enjoyed getting to know all the characters and their backstories. There was also a lot of depth and intensity to these characters which was unexpected. I also enjoyed some of the heavier emotional topics weaved into the story. There were parts of this book that really made my heart hurt.

I just loved the audio! Each character had their own narrator, and they did a fantastic job bringing Hunter, Greedy and Levi to life. The way they captured the emotion, pain and passion was so well done.

I'm so very sad that this ended on a cliffhanger because I am dying to know what happens next!!!

This is my first read by Abby Millsaps and will definitely not be my last! This was a fantastic audio! I could not stop listening once I started. The narrators did an amazing job. I highly recommend this audio. The narrators really brought this book to life.

Umm, well honestly I went in completely blind to this. I thought it was going to be a fluffy sports romance… it is not. But I WAS pleasantly surprised. It was a trope I don’t particularly enjoy, only because it hurts more 😂
As I did listen to the audio of this I will say I didn’t overly enjoy the mmc narrator’s. I know the characters are supposed to have southern accents but they were done poorly. So that is why I’m giving this 3 stars, ONLY BECAUSE THIS IS AN AUDIO ALC. The book itself if a 4 star read for me.
That being said I don’t think it took away from the book and I still enjoyed it overall!

This is my first read by Abby Millsaps and will definitely not be my last. What a story! So Wrong was so much more than I anticipated especially from the college age. The evolution of all of their relationships just flowed so well I was hooked on every word. I can't wait to dive into So Real and see what comes next for this trio!

Oh yes this book was IT. I loved when I first read it and then getting to listen to it just hit different. This audio was SOOO good. All three of these narrators were knew to me but I loved them, I feel like they did a really good job and you can just hear the emotions in their voices. I will be recommending this audio!
