A steamy second chance story is perfect for me. I listened to the audiobook; I love that the narrators were able to use their voices to bring the characters to life. I could feel the story come to life as I listened.

Hunter and her first love Greedy went their separate ways and are now back in the same town. These two circled each other but could not keep away. They were drawn to each other. The kicker?? Hunter is fake dating Greedy’s best friend Levi. This story was so much fun to listen to. I liked the drama, the friendships, the romance, and the heat.

So Wrong is a book with many triggers in this book that I want to be sure that anyone who picks it up whether to read or listen realizes it. There is mentions of child abuse and neglect, miscarriages, homophobia, and others. I suggest you check out the author's website (https://www.authorabbymillsaps.com/so-wrong) to check out the entire list. I did not feel the triggers were big parts of the story but they are what makes the story what it is. Each trigger was dealt with carefully and I felt they were presented in a realistic way.

Not what I expected and I loved it. The story is slow burn and at time that is agonizing, but also so delicious. Hunter is a young woman with a moms who isn’t worthy of the title and a father who should have been more. So she makes the choice so many of us wish we could when life hurts too much. And the two guys who love her do all they can to show her they care and will be by her side no matter what.

I know that is all confusing but I fear more details would ruin this beautiful love story. Please also be aware these characters story does not end with this story so make sure you make room in your schedule for reading book two asap because trust me you won’t want to wait.

The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters and story to life. Highly recommend.

P.S. The twist at the end … WOW!!!

just from how this first book ended, you know the next one is going to PAINFULLY

while you can see that all of these characters have so much love for each other, they have quite a bit to work through😀i’m excited and curious to see where things will go in the next book

This book was truly a roller coaster of emotions. Love triangles, spice, loss, and a mystery man. And that cliff hanger had me screaming!

DNF at about 20%, mostly because of the audiobook itself.

Please do not hire any of these narrators to do southern characters. None of them do a good country accent, I actually forgot the character was supposed to be southern because they sounded African, Australian, or British. As a southerner, I can’t listen to them.

Also, “I’m not going to bash anyone for their religious beliefs” then continues to bash a woman for saying that God heals and provides. I get that woman is a bitch, but bash the woman not the word.

I enjoyed this book a little more than I thought I would at first. It's not my typical read. I didn't realize it was why choose when I requested it from NetGalley. It definitely had some spice, but I'm glad it wasn't all smut.

I liked Greedy a lot, but I actually preferred Levi (and this is why I typically don't do "why choose" books lol). I am not 100% a Hunter fan, but she wasn't a terrible MC either. The ending definitely made me want to read more (cliffhanger alert), so I'm sure I'll check out the rest of the series eventually. The narration was PERFECT. Definitely recommend the audio for those that listen.

💖 First Love
💖 Second Chance
💖 Why Choose
💖 Angsty Romance

The love! The angst! The heartbreak! So Wrong had it all. This emotional first love, second chance romance took me on quite the ride.

So Wrong is told in past and present tense, from three POVs, and I loved it. Abby Millsaps’ writing was great, and despite the flips from person to person, and past to present, it was never confusing or unclear.

I loved seeing the different types of love over time, and between friends and partners. Greedy & Hunter have this spectacular, hot & heavy summer romance, that ends in heartbreak and loss. Levi & Hunter become best friends and forge an incredibly strong bond, through a shared tragedy and the secrets associated with it. Then years later, when they’re brought together again, there’s a tension that wasn’t there before, and eventually…it snaps.

This was my first Abby Millsaps book, and it won’t be my last. Although unsuspected cliffhangers typically make me ragey…this story fully drew me in and I can’t wait to continue it.

Thank you so much to Valentine PR & Abby Millsaps for the chance to listen to & review this ALC.

This was a wonderful audiobook. The narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters and story to life. I loved the depth that the dual timeline provided. Hunter, Greedy and Levi have all been through so much as individuals and together. Their story is so complex and I loved the journey. Hunter has been through so much. Greedy is obsessed with her and Levi cares about her so much. I am so excited to see how their story progresses in So Real.

So Wrong is a college (new adult), why choose with second chance and fake dating. Just know this book is the first in the Boys of South Chapel series and it does end on a cliffhanger (as this author loves to do with her why choose romances)!

We follow Hunter, Greedy, and Levi. Hunter is the heroine and we see her relationship with both guys in the past and present (then and now chapters). Greedy is her ex boyfriend and Levi is Greedy’s best friend and their new roommate…oh and Hunter is fake dating Levi for reasons! Life is very complicated to say the least.

I will say I enjoyed Greedy more than any of the other characters. This book also only shows us Hunter with two heroes, so while it doesn’t feel very why choose here to me, there is promise of more heroes to come in the next books! So you definitely do need to read in order as well. I honestly couldn’t tell if I enjoyed the past or present chapters more. I just wanted to feel pulled in with these characters and I just didn’t. They were just fine and I needed a little something more. I did read a previous why choose series from this author (Boys of Lake Chapel) that I enjoyed more, but this has promise.

I received an audio ALC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

I arc read the physical copy of this so when I saw the audiobook up to listen to as well I knew I needed it. Millsaps does a great job at inciting feelings all across the board and I can’t get enough of her work. The series is well written and has a series of compelling characters.

The narrators brought Hunter, Greedy and Levi to life in a way I loved. I want, no need more!

I had the pleasure of listening to an ALC of this book and holy wow! I knew it was going to end on a cliffy but gah!! I need more STAT!! Levi, Greedy, & Hunters story thus far has me totally hooked! And then we get some surprises that had me like “OMG!!! What is happening?!” I seriously didn’t want it to end! Highly recommend this book and audio book because holy smokes!! So freakin addicting!!

I loved this book! It had my emotions all over the place! The audio was fantastic and really added so much to the overall story. This book was so much more emotionally complex than I thought when went into this and I am not even one bit upset about it! I’m so invested in the outcome and that ending had me so ready to jump right into book 2!

This took me on an emotional rollercoaster but I enjoyed every second of it! I really loved the characters. Hunter went through so much in this book and it broke my heart! The dual timeline was fantastic and helped tie everything together. The ending left me needing more! I have so many questions that I desperately need answers to! Highly recommend the audio. The narrators really brought this story to life!

Thank you NG, Abby & Dreamscape Media for the ALC! This is book 1 of Boys of south Chapel that follows Hunter (FMC), Greedy (stepbrother) and Levi (step brother's bestie). I really wasn’t sure where this was going for the first 60ish percent. There are 3 different POV and 2 different time lines (then/now) and there was really no rhyme or reason of when/why it switched and whose perspective it was gonna be. I thought the narrator’s did a great job. Overall, I’ll give book 2 another chance now that another man has entered the villa and we know nothing of his backstory. Also I’m hopeful for a little bi-awakening with greedy boy.

Tropes:
• why choose
• college football
• stepbrother + his best friend
• second chance
• fake dating

This book was great and left me wanting more. I enjoyed the jump from past to present and the multiple POV. The story follows Hunter, Greedy, and Levi. Reading other reviews I now know that there are more stories with these characters and am on the hunt to find them. The story was wonderful, but that ending has me 🤯

This story was so full of complex characters and storylines. I loved that this story was told in a then and now format. I loved the theee main characters and their back stories. I can’t get over the cliff ah get this book ends on and need to start book two immediately!! I can’t wait to see where the story goes and felt this was a great starting point for the story. The audiobook was narrated by June DeBorahae, J. River Pierce and Liam Dicosimo. I thought they each had the perfect voice and emotions of these emotional characters.

I enjoy Abby’s writing and as always I love the characters!
I enjoyed the character development and the group dynamic. Dual timeline was not my favorite, simply because I found myself having to ask if I was in a “then” or “now” chapter.
I LOVED the narrators and thought they really added so much to the vibes, I don’t think there could have been better narration here!

Thank you Netgalley for this ALC 🫶🏼

I had seen so many friends talking about this series, so I thought it was a great time to pick up a new-to-me author when the ALC of this was available, and I'm so glad I did. This was a fun start to a new why choose series!

It starts off not really feeling like too much of a why choose. It's got a second chance feel and I enjoyed that we got past and present timelines to help answer the questions surrounding what went down with mainly, Hunter and Greedy, three years ago.

I really loved seeing how Greedy and Hunter got together in the past and I was truly rooting for them in the present as well! Their relationship is extremely complicated but it makes for some good angst haha. I also really liked how Levi was able to be there for Hunter in a way that Greedy couldn't. Not necessarily Greedy's fault, but he couldn't be there nonetheless. So while at first I was mostly rooting for Greedy, Levi did really grow on me!

With that ending though...I am very excited to see where the next book takes us! I know we will be adding a new guy into the mix which should make things even more interesting! Looking forward to it, just trying to decide whether to wait for the audio (this audio was great!) or eyeball read since I did read a small chunk on ebook and it was very easy and engaging to read! We'll see hopefully soon!

I LOVE LOVE LOVED the audio for this book. Having read the novel before this getting to listen to it and hear the characters come to life was EVERYTHING!

The narrators did a phenomenal job! My only wish was that this book was narrated in duet style.

This was my first Abby Millsaps book and it certainly will not be my last.
The spice doesn't happen straight away and I enjoyed that "getting to know you" aspect of the characters. It was nice having the flashback chapters meshed into the story so you get bits and pieces fitting together slowly before the whole thing ramps up.
Excited to read So Real and get all the rest of the tea.
Much love to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for my ALC.
