I will admit, I did not read the full description before requesting this book...
What a pleasant little surprise I got! ๐
This was so addicting. I listened to the entire book in one sitting because I just could not get enough. I'm always a bit hesitant with the why chose trope because I always end up liking one guy more than the others but, I'm pretty sold on everyone so far.
I really liked that the author didn't dive right into the spice. I enjoyed getting to know all the characters and their backstories. There was also a lot of depth and intensity to these characters which was unexpected. I also enjoyed some of the heavier emotional topics weaved into the story. There were parts of this book that really made my heart hurt.
I just loved the audio! Each character had their own narrator, and they did a fantastic job bringing Hunter, Greedy and Levi to life. The way they captured the emotion, pain and passion was so well done.
I'm so very sad that this ended on a cliffhanger because I am dying to know what happens next!!!

Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media and Abby Millsaps for this audiobook. This is my voluntary, honest review.

This is my first read by Abby Millsaps and will definitely not be my last! This was a fantastic audio! I could not stop listening once I started. The narrators did an amazing job. I highly recommend this audio. The narrators really brought this book to life.

Umm, well honestly I went in completely blind to this. I thought it was going to be a fluffy sports romanceโฆ it is not. But I WAS pleasantly surprised. It was a trope I donโt particularly enjoy, only because it hurts more ๐
As I did listen to the audio of this I will say I didnโt overly enjoy the mmc narratorโs. I know the characters are supposed to have southern accents but they were done poorly. So that is why Iโm giving this 3 stars, ONLY BECAUSE THIS IS AN AUDIO ALC. The book itself if a 4 star read for me.
That being said I donโt think it took away from the book and I still enjoyed it overall!

This is my first read by Abby Millsaps and will definitely not be my last. What a story! So Wrong was so much more than I anticipated especially from the college age. The evolution of all of their relationships just flowed so well I was hooked on every word. I can't wait to dive into So Real and see what comes next for this trio!

Oh yes this book was IT. I loved when I first read it and then getting to listen to it just hit different. This audio was SOOO good. All three of these narrators were knew to me but I loved them, I feel like they did a really good job and you can just hear the emotions in their voices. I will be recommending this audio!

What an emotional ride! This was my first Abby Millsaps audiobook and it had me reeling. I could not stop listening once I started. Hunter, Greedy and Levi have an instant connection from the moment they first meet in High school until now. Hunter is attracted to both Levi and Greedy but Greedy consumes her like no one ever has. Their love story is full of pain, longing and tragedy. Itโs a forbidden love that can never be, but Greedy will stop at nothing to fight for her. Levi comes back into Hunterโs life at a time he needs someone to care for him and she needs someone to lean on. They enter a fake relationship and from there their attraction to each other turns to more. Hunter has been dealing with some demons of her own and has a few secrets sheโs kept buried. All comes crashing down when someone from her time abroad shows up. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I canโt wait for the next book to see what happens next. The narration was by three brilliant new to me narrators, June deBorahae, J. River Pierce, &ย Liam DiCosimo. They do a fantastic job bringing Hunter, Greedy and Levi to life. They truly capture their emotions, the pain, love, passion and heartbreak in every character. My heart ached for each of them. This angsty, forbidden, fake relationship, why choose romance will leave you in an emotional mess. Sadly, I have to wait until the next book comes out on audio.

So Wrong
Abby Millsaps
This book alternates between present and past.
This book begins with Hunter and Greedy taking their friend, Levi to the hospital. The tension between Hunter and Greedy is a clue to their past. Leviโs mother was discussing that he is bisexual and Hunter and Greedy overhear the conversation. They determine it is in Leviโs best interest to go home with them.
In the past Hunter and Greedy were in an intimate relationship, but all three teens were friends. In the present Hunter and Greedy were sexually active until Hunterโs feeling toward Levi change and she begins to have sex with him. Greedy is upset, he cares deeply for Hunter and tells Levi to stay away from her.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I know it will appeal to preteens and teens and that bothers me. This book encourages teens to have sex. The sex scenes are dirty, and I donโt think that is appropriate.
I will say not more.
Thank you NetGalley for the review copy.

Narrators: June deBorahae, J. River Pierce and Liam Dicosimo
Style: Multi-cast dual
Okay, so I really loved this book when I read it back in May. Add in this fantastic cast and create an audiobook version? I think it made me love (and all the other emotions as outlined below) more than I did before.
deBorahae, River Pierce and Dicosimo all brought the main characters - Hunter, Greedy and Levi - to life, breathing so much emotion into them all. I honestly don't think Millsaps could have picked a better cast for this, and cannot wait to hear them narrate the rest of the series!
Both deBorahae and River Pierce are new to me narrators, but will definitely be interested in hearing their other works, and Dicosimo is a quickly rising favourite - this is now the fourth book I've heard him in, and each time he is phenomenal.
Thank you to the author, Dreamscape Media, Netgalley and Valentine PR for the ALC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

Please check TW's; this one deals with some very heavy topics.
This book honestly has it all. An emotional story filled with laughter, heartbreak, spice and joy. I truly felt the entire rollercoaster of emotions, and I'm pretty sure I shed more than a few tears reading Hunter's story.
The dual timeline is honestly what makes this story, as we see it unfold in such a way that keeps you hanging on the edge of your seat just wanting to know what happens. Hunter's journey is filled with heartbreak, but also surprisingly sweet. I loved watching both her growth and her hide into herself as we uncovered more of her secrets.
Levi and Greedy were both such amazing MMC's; you can't help but feel for Levi in the present with his struggles, and root for Greedy in the past to get the girl. And the scene in the present where there are absolutely no holds barred? Chefs kiss, honestly.
This book definitely teased at the why-choose aspect of the series, even if it was mostly MF focused for the majority. I'm looking forward to the next book to see how everything develops - especially with that grade-A bombshell Millsaps dropped on us as a cliffhanger.
Thank you to the author and @valentine_pr_ for the eARC opportunity.

I felt like I was missing so much information with this book. It was like I had started in the middle of a series where all the relationships are already established and that did confuse me a little. Also, a good portion of this book was set in the past and I donโt think that worked well in an audio book format because it was hard to tell when I was hearing about the past and when I wasnโt.
I feel like this is a book I would have really enjoyed in high school with less of the spice and marketed more as a YA. It was genuinely a really hard book to rate because I think a lot of the reasons I didnโt enjoy it came down to personal preference. The writing wasnโt bad, it was just very surface level and the plot didnโt really go anywhere - it felt like a prequel (maybe it was?)
The audio was very easy to listen to and the male narrators were great - the female narrator however made the FMC seem even more โdamsel in distressโ which was a bit painful to listen to. I think I was probably not quite the right reader for this book but I do think there is an audience that will love it.
I would recommend it if you like a why choose with a bit of angst, a college setting and a lot of family drama.
Thanks to Dreamscape Media for the audio ARC โค๏ธ

My heart broke the first time I read this story but listening to it felt a lot different. Listening to the emotion was incredible. These narrators did an excellent job. It was my first time listening to them and I had no idea how much I would love them. I think that they were amazing and Iโm looking forward to listening to more books narrated by them. Even though I had recently read โSo Realโ, the cliffhanger still left me speechless. I absolutely love how the author has the power to leave you at the edge of your seat with these cliffhangers. I canโt wait for the opportunity to listen to So Real now that Kabir appeared.

This was a good book, and had some really emotional moments. The relationships were well developed, and I felt a connection to each of the characters. The only thing I struggled with was trying to follow the timelines. There's quite a lot going on in the book in the terms of multiple narrators and accents jumping back and forth, so when the timeline also switches it can get quite confusing. However, I overall really enjoyed this and would definitely read more from this author.

I have heard so many amazing things about Abby Millsaps writing from many different people so I thought I would give this a try even though Why Choose isn't really my thing. Im gonna review a little differently and just say what I think went well and what didn't.
What went well:
Abby's writing was impeccable. I really enjoyed the way she wrote and her storytelling
Loved the character building!
Levi and Greedy were hot!
The narrators did a PHENOMENAL job, particularly loved listening to June DeBorahae
What didn't go well:
There was a lot of back and forth on the time line and I really couldn't keep up, particularly found this hard to keep up with on audio, not sure if it would have been easier reading it.
The whole book was spent with just Hunter and Greedy and Levi and made me fall in love with them 3 and then the ending drops this huge surprise and I am not sure I want to add a new person to the mix!

OH MY GOD I DIDNT REALIZE THIS WAS A TRILOGY??
My goodness no wonder I felt like the pacing was off for a standalone ๐๐
Anyways that was great. Iโm mad for not realizing this was part of a series and not a singular book but it made for an amazing and even more shocking ending?! That also clears ups why itโs called a why choose ๐ I was annoyed that there were only two partners and it was labeled that.
Seriously Iโm so obsessed with this book now. Everything was great. The story. How the past and present came together. Finding out Hunters secret was gut wrenching. I was not expecting that at all and my heart broke for her.
Levi is my favorite. Heโs so sweet and such a good friend.
I need Hunter and Greedy to get it together though.
So excited to see what happens in the next book!

Synopsis:
After returning to South Chapel, Hunter struggles with the unintended pain inflicted on her ex, Greedy, who continues to torment her with memories of their past. As Greedy's best friend Levi arrives and becomes both a fake boyfriend and new roommate to escape his overbearing mother, the situation grows increasingly complex. In a house shared with two attractive men and surrounded by secrets, Hunter grapples with how her life has become fraught with confusion and regret.
Thoughts:
I enjoyed this book, particularly how Hunter, Greedy, and Levi confront their pasts while striving to move forward. We get a look into their histories and experience a whirlwind of emotions alongside them. However, some parts felt rushed, which made it difficult for me to connect with the characters. The narration was well-executed, and I think the portrayal of each character was done really well. The book ends on a cliffhanger, and I do plan to continue the series.

I was hooked from the very beginning! There was so much mystery from the start trying to figure out what happened in the past and what caused all the pain and strife that all three characters are going through in the present. As the story progresses it slowly unveils the heart of the matter and I love reading the flashbacks in between chapters of the present. The moment I was curious about something from the past and wish I had the context to understand, the flashbacks would come into play and give me what I was looking for which made this book a very fluid, seamless one.
Hunter is such a complex and tortured character. She is a woman still ruled by her trauma but doing her best to survive and navigate through the pain. She is back in her hometown that is triggering a lot of her emotions but she knows she has no where else to go if she wants to earn her degree so she is fighting her demons for the betterment of her future and I admire her so much for that - BUT - at the same time her actions that she thinks is sparing the people she loves are actually causing the most harm and for me it was beyond frustrating to watch her make strides in some ways but still be so dictated by her fear in others. Having Greedy back in her orbit is difficult enough but when Levi comes back and needs their help, it forces them all to really face their past and unresolved issues.
My heart went out to Greedy and as I move into the second book I am Team Greedy all the way! That poor boy that loved with his entire heart was the collateral damage of the unforeseen circumstances surrounding him and he never even knows the full truth or gravity of the pain until the cliffhanger at the end of the book! He never stops loving Hunter and Levi even when they both leave him in their hometown and he is left to pick up the pieces and find purpose and a life without them. He fights relentlessly for Hunter and in the end for Levi as well but is absolutely gutted by the cliffhanger at the end and I just want to give him the biggest hug.
The pain that these characters go through is palpable and it is made even more so by the amazing performances but June DeBorahae, Liam Dicosimo and J. River Pierce. Wow wow wow they were stunning in this book. I have never listened to any of them. I love discovering new narrators and this is why! All of them are so talented and really captured the depth of this book. But the stand out for me no question was June's performance. She took my breath away with her emotional, heart-wrenching performance of Hunter. I am not missing out on any more of her work because WOW!
Overall this story took me on a journey and the damn cliffhanger left me in a tizzy but this story was so much more than a college why choose. I honestly don't think that's a huge selling point for me now that I've read the story. The story of Hunter and her boys is so much more than that and I am so happy I got to experience it. I cannot wait to read the next book.

So Wrong (Boys of South Chapel #1) is a second chance, why choose romance.
This book is told in multiple points of view. The chemistry between Greedy and Hunter as teens was really good and I enjoyed the glimpses of their past. The chemistry building between Levi and Hunter was nice as well. This story was full of drama, some steamy moments and intense emotions. I was left with some questions that Iโm hoping will be answered in book #2. That cliffhanger had my draw dropping for sure.
June DeBorahae, J. River Pierce, Liam Dicosimo did a really nice job narrating this book. I enjoyed them bringing these characters to life.

Okay I didnโt realize this was a step brother situation. DNF. I was cracking up at the gas station scene tho hahahaha so happy for the good laugh

Awesome Story & Narration๐ง Gripping & Emotional!
Abby Millsaps pens another amazing sports romance novel, a steamy why choose romance, the first in her new โBoys of South Chapelโ series, and wow what a start it is. The story is not only captivating from start to end, but it tugs at your heartstrings the entire time, too. Hunter St. Clair was one of my favorite characters in โThe Boys of Lake Chapelโ series, so I was happy to hear she was getting her own story, even happier to hear it was going to be a series. This story is told in alternating time frames, the now and the then, which is about three years after. We get a glimpse into the charactersโ Hunter, Greedy and Leviโs, lives when they first meet, and showing what led them to where they stand in the now.ย Hunter is more fragile in this book, more broken, and yet she is just as strong and definitely determined to remain that way. Greedy and Hunter were each otherโs first, and they fell in love, but Hunterโs world comes crumbling down, thanks to her narcissistic motherโs actions. Hunter fled and stayed away for three years, but came back home and is working on finishing college. She avoids Greedy, but when Levi needs them, she is there for him and something more develops between her and Levi. Greedy still has it bad for Hunter and there has not been with anyone else, and when he sees how close the two are getting, he is accepting of it and wants in, but Hunter has her reasons for staying away from Greedy. And that ending, what the what? And if things were not complicated enough, they just got even more complicated. I loved all the layers of this story, and the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. There is never a dull moment in this book and the story has plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Abby Millsaps, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
๐ง๐๐ง June deBorahae, J. River Pierce and Liam Dicosimo did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and were believable in every role. June deBorahae nailed it as Hunter, grasping every aspect of her personality, her vulnerabilities and her strengths. J. River Pierce did the same as Levi and Liam Dicosimo as Greedy, both showcasing their characterโs traits and personalities perfectly. All were great in performing the roles of the secondary characters, too.ย They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the charactersโ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers made a great team and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

The book alters between past and present which sometimes is something I struggled with, but a few things remain the same. The love scenes were amazing and truly heartfelt. Many scenes will tug at your heartstrings leaving you wanting to tear up. If you haven't already. The emotions were raw and real. Joy, sorrow, passion, love, heartbreak, are only a few you will experience throughout the book. Greedy and Levi are both amazing in different ways each bring something new to Hunter and her story. Hunter tries her best but throughout this story she is hit with so many different waves she doesn't have time to truly experience all her thoughts and emotions. The Narrators: June DeBorahae, J. River Pierce, and Liam Dicosimo I have never listened to before, but they did a fantastic job with these characters. And June her voice is so soft and easy to get lost in. Their ability to bring these characters to life really helped make the emotions all too real

This book has been on my TBR since it came out and things just kept gettingย in my way.ย When I saw the ALC of the audiobook was available on netgalley, I hit "apply" SO QUICKLY.ย ย This worked out PERFECTLY for me to be able to listen during drives and running errands.
I loved this book!ย Ever since Hunter and Greedy were introduced in the Boys of Lake Chapel books, I've been DYING over "he's not my brother" waiting for their story and this book DID NOT disappoint.ย This was a beautiful but heartbreaking "now" and "then" story about Hunter and Greedy (and Levi).ย
I'm not a "cowboy girlie" and "southern gentleman" isn't really my type, so I came in with zero expectations for Levi, but ... he won me over very quickly.
I enjoyed Hunter's narrator and Levi's narrator (who oddly sounded to me like Doc from Virgin River (but younger).ย Greedy's narrator (as Greedy) was good, but I wasn't a fan of his "Levi" voice - it reminded me of Forrest Gump.ย It distracted me for a second and then I got over it and really enjoyed this audio book.ย
And now I'm ready to dive into "So Real" and find out what Kabir's deal is!ย
Thank you, ABBY and NETGALLEY for giving me the chance to listen!
