This audio book took me on a delightful journey from start to finish! I can count how many audio books I have listened to prior to this on two fingers, but this one fully converted me into an audio book girlie.

Dreamscape media chose the narrators Leanne Woodward; Evan Sibley to bring to life, But He's My Grumpy Neighbor, by Annah Conwell

The TENSION in this book is off the charts! Paired with the countless almost kisses, I can guarantee if you listen to this in the car you will look like a maniac screaming your head off. "KISS ALREADY!!!"

Juliet (FMC) has some of the best inner dialogue I have heard in a story - trust me, she will make you laugh! Oh, and my boy Adian (MMC) is that delicious combo of grumpy and closed-off to everyone but Juliet, which makes my heart both melt and explode into pieces whenever you get to his POV.

The narrators truly did a fantastic job! 10/10 - recommend you listen to this audio book anyway you can!

P.S. This was also my first ever Annah Conwell story! I want all things by Annah now!!!

The title caught my attention and I am glad that i requested this cute and adorable book. The characters were so amazing and well penned down by the author. From the starting of the book till the very end, I had an amazing time listening to this Audiobook.

I loved the plotline. The writing was on point. The characters were delightful. But the development fell a little short. I was missing the tension and the conflict. I would have loved to read more about Juliette's history and the feelings she developed for the hot guy next door. Adrian also had a super intriguing backstory, and I think it would have been superb to feel that out. Overall a cute story. There just seemed to be more to the story that might have added that extra dimension.

Narration: the two narrators are fabulous. They did help bring the story to life.

This is a cute sweet love story with only a hint of real drama. A perfect palette cleanser in between darker or more intense books. By the title you can tell it's a grumpy/sunshine. Our sunshine character is quirky and while she has already healed some from her trauma you can see she is still working through it. Our grump was formerly in the CIA and runs a security company with his family who is working through his own issues. There is no spice and only kisses is this one, but it doesn’t take away from the love you can feel between the two.

I received an audiobook via NetGalley, but that did not alter my review in any way.

I loved this book! The narrator was awesome and the story absolutely sucked me in. I simply HAD to listen to it as much as I could. There was humor and lighthearted moments balanced with some serious emotional issues that the characters needed to grow through.
This author pulls you into the story and gradually builds the tension between the characters until you just can't stand it until the very satisfying ending.
Highly recommended for people who love contemporary romance.

Long live cozy blankets and cups of tea. That is exactly what this book embodied. It’s also quite literally what happens multiple times. I listened to this via audio, and the narrators are PERFECT for this story. Truly. They both have such soothing tone to their voices, and they didn’t over perform. I blew through this one. Hats off to Leanne Woodward & Evan Sibley.

My favorite part of the story is the medium that Adrian chooses to use to eventually and fully woo Juliette. You’ll just have to read it because I’m not, under any circumstances, spoiling that moment for ya.

I love the way that Adrian reluctantly protects Juliette multiple times. It’s my absolute favorite. Like please, save the day, I am fully in distress and will 100% accept rescue. Biceps McDaniel is the world’s most protective husband so— ya know I relate.

I also love how brave Juliette is in spite of herself. It’s so hard to start over with a new community, new friends, new home. Sis is out there doing it, though. While she’s very much alone, she isn’t glamorizing that fact and I appreciated that.
This is a kisses only, SLOWWWW BURN.

The cutest little meet cute book! Just like the title says, the grumpy neighbor is a crush that she soon softens into a kind man. An unexpected favorite from my library and I’ve already recommended to many of my book friends! Thank you for the ARC!

Oh Juliette,is Adrian your Romeo?

First of all I wanna say I really love grumpy x sunshine romances, because I consider myself the grumpy one. It makes my heart melt when I read this trope. Just for that I new I would love this book until the end.

Juliette and Adrien were just perfect. The book itlself had everything qb. Humor, romance, small town vibes, an the more important, books, tea and a cute dog.

This was the first book I've read of this author, but I will definitely read the others. I would love to have the stories of the others Carters brothers, it would be amazing ( I didn't searched it so, drk)

Recommend ++++

I want to thank the editor and also Netgalley for giving me the chance to read this book in advance in exchange of an honest opinion/review.

Listen if you like:
Small towns
Quiet MMC
Quirky FMC
“Good girl” 😅
Tea

Adrian & Juliette
Juliette is all too curious about her cute new neighbor. When she’s determined to have a conversation with the stern man, it doesn’t go her way.
Set on making things right, Adrian apologizes in his own sweet way.
If you love audio and love a good strong MMC, i highly recommend this audio! Out tomorrow!

When the grump says,
“I’ve never been one for Music, but her giggle just might be my new favorite song.”

This is an easy-listen small-town romance that hits the grumpy/sunshine tropes. It doesn’t have the light-hearted, whimsical feel I expect in a rom com (just the opposite—everything feels unnecessarily serious). If you like sweet contemporary romance, this book might be for you.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.

Thank you to the author and audiobook publisher for allowing me to review this ALC. This was a cute, fluffy easy listen romance audiobook. The setting is cheesy, the characters are too good to be true. This is a grumpy/sunshine, friends-to-lovers romance. I think the story felt a little too rushed at the end and wished that they had either gotten into a relationship sooner or the story was longer. I felt like it left me wanting more.

This book was so cute! I listened to it on audiobook and I didn’t want to stop listening to it! I loved the narrators. The characters were so relatable and easy to fall in love with and it was a really great closed door romance. I would definitely suggest this book!

This was a cute grumpy x sunshine book! It was low angst, slow burn and no third act breakup so it is a perfect read in between heavier books! It was sweet, touched on trauma in a sensitive way. Overall, I really enjoyed it!

But He's My Grumpy Neighbor by Annah Conwell - 5 Stars

I LOVED THIS YALL! I love a next door neighbor romance and to add the grumpy sunshine on top of this - chef's kiss*. This is book 1 in her But He's A Carter Brother series and I can't wait to read more!

The characters have been through some hard things in their lives which leave them a bit closed off to others or relationships. Seeing them get to know each other and really open up was absolutely beautiful. I loved seeing Adrian fall in love with Juliette most of all. His internal thoughts were my favorite. He started really opening up throughout this book, which was great to see. AND THE LETTER - don't get me started on how AMAZING that was! :) They had some cute nicknames too that I loved.

Such a cute, cozy rom-com with a lot of great small town elements such as a small town bakery, cookouts with families, bingo nights, fun sibling group chats, etc. I also LOVED the Mr. Darcy and other classic book references in this.

The romance was clean with kisses only - always appreciated! Highly recommend as an audiobook too because the narration was great, loved the dual narrators, they really sounded like what I thought the characters would sound like.

I am excited to continue this series because I loved this family so much!

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for a free copy of the audio to listen to and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was perfect! A cozy romcom that felt like reading a Hallmark Movie mixed with Gilmore Girls.

The characters were relatable and entertaining. I really enjoyed the romance between them. I thought it was really sweet and heartwarming. Lovers of grump x sunshine pairings will love this.

Narrators Leanne Woodward & Evan Sibley did a fabulous job. Brought the characters to life and immersed me into the story.

Can't wait to continue the series. Would recommend!

Sweet contemporary romance, I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narrators. I think they did an awesome job brining the story to life. This is the first I’ve read in this series but I’m eager to read about the rest of the side characters. I would definitely recommend this one

“”This kiss tastes like love. The raw and real that sacrifices. For most of my life I thought that I had to earn love but here in Adrian’s arms I realised I was wrong. Love isn’t earned it’s given freely. And not matter what the future might bring, Knowing that it brings me a sense of peace I’ve never known “ Romantic, sweet, tender and with funny moments, Adrian and Juliette’s story is a journey for two broken souls to healing together and finding their soulmate. The audiobook with Leanne Woodward and Evan Sibley makes a great story an even better one.

I think I’ve come to find a new cozy romance favorite author in Annah Conwell. This book was sweet and the MC was grumpy without being a total asshole like how many authors wrote the grumpy sunshine trope. It was cute and I can see snippets of how this book connects to a previous series that I’ll have to go back and read.

Regarding the narrators, really great. The female narrator especially was good, a very calm and kind voice that could read me to sleep. I know I’ve heard her before and this character same as the last book I heard with her fit her voice perfectly. The male narrator was also good and did female voices without just getting high and squeaky.

Thank you to NetGalley and DreamScape Media for this ALC!

This was reread via audio for me and I loved the narrators! They are so pleasant to listen to and do a good job of changing inflection for different people speaking.

As for the story itself, oh, grumpy Adrian and sunshiney Juliette. I couldn’t love this pair more if I tried! This is (obviously) grumpy-sunshine, plus neighbors, to friends, to more, slow burn goodness.

Things I Loved:
-Scowly twin & Smiley twin
-Tea
-“His mind probably has fifty levels of security clearance and I was just given a level two pass. But I’m going to cherish my pass because I have a feeling most people don’t make it this far.”
-The booth
-Friendship lessons
-Grayson, just Grayson.
-Bingo
-Sunshine 😂🤍
-Practice date
-“‘Wow, you must really care about her.’ I do, too much. ‘She’s my friend.’ ‘I hear friendship makes a great foundation for marriage.’”
-The Carter fam—I just love them all
-“I care about what you think, Juliette. The list of people who get to have opinions on my life is admittedly short, but you’re on it.”
-“I’m safe here.”
-“You’re like a sunflower, always growing toward the light. You make everyone around you want to be better, including me–especially me.”
-“You have me.”
-The letter 💌
-Poppy
-The pamphlet 😆
-The end! 🤍

I loved every bit of this whole story. Walls coming down, found family, and top notch romantic tension. I adore every Carter brother.

Trigger Warning: Past mental/minor physical abuse implied
