Juliette befriends her grumpy neighbor Adrian when he offers to help her date. (Polin fans this is for you) Adrian is closed off, but Juliette brings sunshine into his life. Ironically, Juliette nicknames him sunshine and Adrian nicknames her Jules. Grumpy vs Sunshine will always be a favorite of mine. Adrian comes from a family of close siblings, where as Juliette ran away from home. Found family is quickly becoming one of my favorite sub-tropes. Low spice, 0.5.

Aww, this was so sweet! Full of tea, books, more tea, and soft blankets, this is cozy romance at its best. It has Lots of cuddles too!!
But lest it fly away with all the fluff, this book also deals with anxiety and past trauma in an honest but also gracious way.
Huge thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to enjoy this well read audiobook. It was a delight.

Dual pov, forced proximity, complex family relationships, grief, no third act breakup, she falls first, he falls harder, first in a series, they both love tea
This book deals with off page mental and physical child abuse.
I only cried four times listening to this. This book is so much more than a romance book. It deals with heavier themes than most romance books do, and that makes it feel more real. Both the book and the situations. I was hooked on this book from the very beginning, I essentially spent the whole day listening to it. I will be impatiently waiting for the others to be released because I love Annah Conwells writing in the audio format.
Adrian Carter, the man that you are. No man, and I mean none, will ever be as perfect as Adrian Carter. He helped Juliet through panic attacks, sat with her through things he doesn’t like doing because she also didn’t like it, remembered things she said once to prove he loved her, and just supported Juliet how she needed it.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an early listen of this book. All thoughts are my own, I do not accept money for reviews

I picked this ARC from Netgalley primarily because of the title, I thought it was fun. Then I started listening to it and I was like, "wow this is so cute and wholesome".
I saw a lot of myself in the story, especially in falling for someone so quickly, because I feel like when the feeling is there, you just know. There are some deep underlying themes beneath the characters and I appreciated that they weren't glossed over. So the character development, and their mannerisms felt like honest depictions.
Overall, it was easy to read, entertaining, and I liked the characters, so it's a solid 4 star for me. What can I say? I love romance novels.

This is the first book in a magnificent series about 4 brothers. Adrian is grump extraordinaire and Juliette just softens his edges and brings out his inner cinnamon roll center! The audiobook was just perfection. It brought the story to life and made it that much better!

It was an awesome, fun, and enjoyable read! Annah's writing is engaging and well done. Clean in words and morals. No swearing, kissing only, and no alcohol.

Thank you NetGalley for this audio ARC. I really enjoyed this book even with it being a clean romance book. I didn't realize it until I started it. My favorite part of the book was the accurate representation of having an anxiety disorder. A cute and fun read!

I adored reading this book and I was excited to try out the audiobook. But He’s My Grumpy Neighbor is the first book in Annah Conwell’s But He’s a Carter Brother series. This is a wonderful start to a great series.
Adrian and Juliet were just the perfect couple. I adored reading about them. I love how they helped each other be better. Adrian was a bit of a grump but he cared for his family. He was happy to be by himself but Juliet slowly changed his mind. It was fun to read about Adrian slowly falling for Juliet. I loved Juliet and her sweet personality. It was cool to read about her opening up to Adrian and his family. She had to learn how to let go of her past and fears trusting Adrian.
I actually really enjoyed the narrators. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I ended up liking the way that they read the book. It was clear and I loved how it was a dual narration.
Overall, I would totally recommend But He’s My Grumpy Neighbor as a book or in its audiobook format. It is a closed door romantic comedy.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

This was a light grumpy/sunshine neighbor story done in a dual narration. It was a slow burn for sure, but the two characters seemed to understand each other. Some more background on why Adrian had trouble trusting people would have helped the story.
Overall I enjoyed both narrators and the light storyline. Tea and stationary were bonuses to the coziness of the plot.
I was given a copy by the publisher via NetGalley (thank you!) and all opinions are my own.

This book was SOOOOO good!!!! Who doesn't want an adorablely looking neighbor?!? It was so fun to read, and the characters were just so fun to follow their story. Loved it!

This story was very cute! You get the grumpy x sunshine romcom trope, the next-door neighbor trope, small town trope, and it is a closed door romance. I didn't realize it would be a closed door before I started, but I still really enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed all the tension between the two and all the moments where you just wanted to yell at them to KISS ALREADY!
The narrators, Leanne Woodward and Evan Sibley were perfect for the characters and really brought them to life!
The storyline wasn't original to someone who reads romcoms like it's their job (me), but the story was well done and still an enjoyable read!

I loved the story ! I’m always a sucker for a grumpy romcom. I don’t think I’ve listen to audiobook so quick. I didn’t want to stop listening. I just loved everything about this story line. It’s just swoon worth reading that you’ll love !

3.75 🌟 to this next-door neighbor, small-town, grumpy x sunshine, closed-door, adult romcom.
This was a fun and entertaining read but definitely a story that I’ve read before. It didn’t feel unique at all—a sunshine FMC with a hard past escaping to a small town and a grumpy MMC with trust and commitment issues being into her almost instantly, but the get-together gets dragged out because he tells himself, "She deserves someone better."
I definitely liked the addition of the cute doggo, the sunshine twin brother to our grumpy MMC, and the little touch of handwritten love letters.
However, the author does have a talent for writing, so even though to me (someone who reads a ridiculous amount of romcoms) this book didn’t feel original, it was a great story! Whenever Grayson’s book comes out, I will be the first in line because I adore him with all my heart. 💛
The narrators did an absolutely amazing job with this audiobook—if you are interested, I cannot recommend the audiobook version enough!
Thank you so much, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, for this audiobook ARC! All opinions are my own.

This audio book took me on a delightful journey from start to finish! I can count how many audio books I have listened to prior to this on two fingers, but this one fully converted me into an audio book girlie.
Dreamscape media chose the narrators Leanne Woodward; Evan Sibley to bring to life, But He's My Grumpy Neighbor, by Annah Conwell
The TENSION in this book is off the charts! Paired with the countless almost kisses, I can guarantee if you listen to this in the car you will look like a maniac screaming your head off. "KISS ALREADY!!!"
Juliet (FMC) has some of the best inner dialogue I have heard in a story - trust me, she will make you laugh! Oh, and my boy Adian (MMC) is that delicious combo of grumpy and closed-off to everyone but Juliet, which makes my heart both melt and explode into pieces whenever you get to his POV.
The narrators truly did a fantastic job! 10/10 - recommend you listen to this audio book anyway you can!
P.S. This was also my first ever Annah Conwell story! I want all things by Annah now!!!

What an amazing, sweet and heart warming closed door romance!!!
I loved this book so much!!!
I adored how they bonded over tea, I adored the small town romance aspect. I adored the little coffee shop and his big family to counterbalance her lack of family
Absolutely LOVED this book

The title caught my attention and I am glad that i requested this cute and adorable book. The characters were so amazing and well penned down by the author. From the starting of the book till the very end, I had an amazing time listening to this Audiobook.

I loved the plotline. The writing was on point. The characters were delightful. But the development fell a little short. I was missing the tension and the conflict. I would have loved to read more about Juliette's history and the feelings she developed for the hot guy next door. Adrian also had a super intriguing backstory, and I think it would have been superb to feel that out. Overall a cute story. There just seemed to be more to the story that might have added that extra dimension.
Narration: the two narrators are fabulous. They did help bring the story to life.

This is a cute sweet love story with only a hint of real drama. A perfect palette cleanser in between darker or more intense books. By the title you can tell it's a grumpy/sunshine. Our sunshine character is quirky and while she has already healed some from her trauma you can see she is still working through it. Our grump was formerly in the CIA and runs a security company with his family who is working through his own issues. There is no spice and only kisses is this one, but it doesn’t take away from the love you can feel between the two.
I received an audiobook via NetGalley, but that did not alter my review in any way.

I loved this book! The narrator was awesome and the story absolutely sucked me in. I simply HAD to listen to it as much as I could. There was humor and lighthearted moments balanced with some serious emotional issues that the characters needed to grow through.
This author pulls you into the story and gradually builds the tension between the characters until you just can't stand it until the very satisfying ending.
Highly recommended for people who love contemporary romance.

Long live cozy blankets and cups of tea. That is exactly what this book embodied. It’s also quite literally what happens multiple times. I listened to this via audio, and the narrators are PERFECT for this story. Truly. They both have such soothing tone to their voices, and they didn’t over perform. I blew through this one. Hats off to Leanne Woodward & Evan Sibley.
My favorite part of the story is the medium that Adrian chooses to use to eventually and fully woo Juliette. You’ll just have to read it because I’m not, under any circumstances, spoiling that moment for ya.
I love the way that Adrian reluctantly protects Juliette multiple times. It’s my absolute favorite. Like please, save the day, I am fully in distress and will 100% accept rescue. Biceps McDaniel is the world’s most protective husband so— ya know I relate.
I also love how brave Juliette is in spite of herself. It’s so hard to start over with a new community, new friends, new home. Sis is out there doing it, though. While she’s very much alone, she isn’t glamorizing that fact and I appreciated that.
This is a kisses only, SLOWWWW BURN.
