I was drawn to the summary of Jackaby but ultimately did not finish it. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

Enjoyed this first instalment of the series. I really liked Miss Rook far more than Jackaby himself, but I suppose his eccentric ways are whyMs Rook's character works so well against the absurdness of his. I koved that he could see all manner of ghosts, paranormal, legendary and unknown beings.

I'm looking forward to seeing where the next book brings us.
