FBI Agent Leigh Brody receives a mysterious plea for help from a new friend. When Leigh arrives at the friend's Alabama beach vacation home, Elyse is missing and so is a teenaged girl. The police seem focused on searching for the girl and dismiss Elyse's earlier injuries as a fall from running, rather than the assault she claims. When another teenager disappears, Leigh sets out to find the truth, regardless of the fact she has no support from the local police, and has been told by the FBI director to stay out of the investigation.

This thriller will keep the reader up until the wee hours hoping for the return of the missing girl and missing wife. The ending was a bit far-fetched, but enjoyable nevertheless. I would definitely like to read more of Agent Leigh Brody.

Totally twisty!! I have great respect for Leigh, she has not had an easy life, but is so willing to assist others - despite being warned of the consequences by her FBI superior.

The plot is gripping, and there is great character development in the book. I was hooked from the beginning to the end, where my jaw literally just dropped open.

Cannot wait for the next in this series. Definitely going to be another thrilling page turner.

Two of the girls bodies have turned up dead. They are now looking for the third only to find out Elyse’s daughter Ava has also fell victim to this predator. Until Leigh and Detective Moore stumble upon a body they believe is the murderer/stalker. Yet who killed him? How did the third girl get out back to her family alive? Who helped her and how does Elyse/s daughter Ava fit into all of this?

This book 2 in the series where I did read the first one. So I was very happy to receive this ARC from the publisher. This is areal page turner. It kept me in suspense all the way to the end. Great characters who did change throughout the book. Hearing why people justify the things they do for family. For protecting their loved ones from predators. Truly a well written thriller Would highly recommend it. Cannot wait for number 3 in the series because of the way it ended. 4.5 stars.

The Vanishing Wife is the second book in the series, and I had previously read the first one. Leigh Brody is an FBI criminologist who responds to a distress call from her friend Elyse. Leigh is on medical leave yet risks it all to investigate the mysterious crime scene at Leigh’s beachfront house. Elyse is missing, her husband is acting strangely, and a local teenage girl is found dead. Leigh is a fearless character who has no difficulty crossing the line when necessary. She eventually pairs up with the detective on the case and what happens is a roller coaster ride of events and misdirection. Is anyone who they seem? Taught and complex mystery with plenty of red herrings and nail biting moments! Some twists you just won't see coming - definitely loves up to the first of the series as far as tension. Strong and trialed characters that have gone through a lot and came out on the other side, and have their battle set yet again. You won't want to miss this one!

Murder and a missing teen were the theme of The Vanishing Wife. This was a thriller that kept me guessing.

This book was a little slow starting for me, but once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down. I had to find out what had happened to Leigh’s friend Elyse, who kidnapped the girls, and why they were disappearing. This was a roller coaster of a book with lots of twists and a fabulous ending leaving the door open for book 3 – can’t wait!
