Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for an advanced audio-copy of Divorce Towers, in exchange for an honest review.

"I had a great time reading 'Divorce Towers' by Ellen Meister. This book is not only a fun and easy read, but it will capture you from the very beginning with its diverse and quirky characters. The narrative, told from multiple points of view, primarily focusing on Addison and Arnie, keeps the story engaging and fast-paced. Meister's trademark compassionate storytelling shines through, allowing readers to connect with and care for these characters as they navigate the ups and downs of life in the 'Divorce Towers'.

The author's portrayal of divorce life within a high-rise is remarkably realistic, capturing the inherent drama and friendship that often exist in such communities. It felt like I was watching a fun, light-hearted television series or reality show, which made it incredibly easy to get lost in the story. The book is filled with witty banter, intriguing secrets, and unexpected twists that kept me hooked until the very end.

However, I will say that the multiple perspectives, especially the addition of Carly's perspective, could be a bit confusing at times. While it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the story, it did require some extra attention to keep track of all the characters and their individual stories.

'Divorce Towers' is a very entertaining read that combines romance and mystery in a unique way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a captivating story with memorable characters and plenty of surprises along the way."

I'm not quite sure what genre this would really fall into. The cover as well as the title, makes it seem like a domestic suspense thriller. But the story feels general fiction/mystery with a slight romance plot. Our MFC takes a job as the front desk gal for a condo full of divorcees, and only divorcees.
Her uncle gets her the job and also lives in the building. I was having fun with it, I enjoy locked room type of stories, where everything takes place in one area. I listened to the audio and found it enjoyable. I was starting to lose steam after a couple of days tho. I thought about DNF. Towards the end I just sped it up to 2.5 just so knew how it ended. (Usually listen between 1.6- 2 for reference) It was an ok story and if I didn't read sooo many books I may have loved it, but it just didn't stand up to most of the stories I read.

This book didn’t meet any genre in my opinion. I only finished to be able to leave a review. It was a book about nothing. It was burning. The audiobook was horrible too. The narrative was too forceful. Her voice was so robotic.

Unfortunately this was a miss for me. I wasn’t sure what this book was trying to be, a thriller, a romance, a mystery… it just meandered along without going anywhere really.

This book was just so boring.
The book just has so many characters and unfortunately not a single one of them was memorable. There was no real plot outside of everyone trying to get with other people and the small mystery lol. The subplot of mystery was just so random?

I will say though that it was well written though, it was really easy to follow along with albeit boring lol. Sarah Mollo-Christensen did a great job of narrating the story, without her I probably would’ve dnf’ed this.

I really enjoyed reading this book as I found many parts of it causing me to laugh out loud. There really didn’t appear to be a real message but for me it didn’t take from the book for me.

Sadly I did not finish this book., I was not a fan of the writing style. We are given multiple pov however the author narrates them all and it makes it even worse on audio only having one voice for male and female characters. We go three chapters of a guy refusing to take no as an answer and it all felt a bit cringe.

I love a good spicy women's fiction book but this book was a bit to chaotic but somehow boring at the same time. I loved the concept of the book but I didn't love the execution of it.
