💭 MY THOUGHTS: I loved living vicariously through Casey. Getting to be aboard a luxury cruise line it was fun to explore cruise life with her. And Phillip was the perfect grump millionaire who has a soft spot for Casey even if he doesn’t want to admit to himself.
The audiobook narrator’s voices were perfect for the characters and their witty banter. A love me a good male character voice especially when they are a brooding magnate 🫠

DNF at least for now. Wondering if my taste is changing and this author isn't working for me as much anymore.

What a fun summer/beachy rom com!
I was caught up in Casey and Phillip’s story from the beginning. She is onboard his company’s ship to get an exclusive interview with him for her magazine. Her secret? She’s not some big travel writer, but a fact checker with a past relationship with Phillip (they went to school together.)
I really liked the alternate perspectives from Casey and Phillip. They had pretty instant chemistry and it was so different from his last relationship. It was a little steamy which fit well with their whirlwind relationship. I also really appreciated Casey learning to stand up more for herself and find a career she loved where she was well treated.
I’ve been really enjoying R.S. Grey’s Caribbean romances and I hope we’ll have more of them soon!
4.5 stars because I ate everything up except for the ending. Not usually a fan of “lower middle class girl makes friends with a famous influencer and connects with a rich cruise owner”, but R.S Grey did this so well! Loved every minute of this juicy drama, give me all the drama.
This books release day was yesterday, 10/10 recommend picking it up. Awful workplace, luxurious cruise, influencer bestie, cruise romance, lingering ex, past comes back to haunt, a little humor, grieving a family member, in between homes — this book has it all.
Thank you NetGalley and Brilliance Audio for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. The audio quality was amazing and I enjoyed the narrators. Dual POV from the FMC and MMC, which are voiced by two different people. I couldn’t put this down!
Ugh this book had so many good reviews and I love anything related to travel and cruises but this was BORINGGG.
Casey Hughes is a struggling travel journalist desperate for a big break when she lands the assignment of a lifetime: hop on board Aurelia for its maiden voyage through paradise. While she’ll bask in the luxury cruise ship’s fine dining and complimentary spa treatments, her real mission is to snag an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont.
Casey and the elusive shipping heir have history. Once, they were nothing short of brutal enemies. Though the former brace-faced teen is now a suited-up CEO with devastating good looks, he makes it clear to Casey that he has no interest in forgetting their past.
The volatile grudge between them is as explosive as ever. More than once Casey is tempted to toss Phillip overboard, but for her work, she’ll have to swallow her pride. If it’s an apology he’s after, she’ll serve it up on a silver platter. If he wants her to walk the plank, she’ll salute with an aye, aye, Captain.
Casey can’t let him provoke her. She needs this interview. So if Phillip wants to play dirty, Casey will just have to play dirtier.
I liked both of their characters and I loved the story of their past. But their present day relationship confused the heck out of me. They were rivals but then hooking up out of the blue and then kinda confused me a lot of after that. I felt way too much of miscommunication and I expect A lot of more packs and hijinx based on the synopsis.
Obviously the cruise ship setting was a lot of fun and that with the side character of an influencer saved it for me
Caribbean Crush by R.S. Grey
Narrated by Jeremy York & Luci Christian
1st person - Dual POV
This fun and flirty summer read follows the travel journalist Casey and the billionaire cruise ship owner Phillip. They had known each other from some middle school encounters that went sideways. Now they are brought together again and there is lingering tension that is now presenting as sexual.
While the cruise ship setting was fun, the story seemed to be average to me. The spice was done well and the narrators did a great job of portraying the characters.
* enemies to lovers
* vacation romance
* slow burn
* forced proximity
An aspiring and ambitious wannabe travel writer sneaks onto a Caribbean cruise, befriends a famous influencer and confronts a man from her past trying to get an exclusive story that will hopefully launch her career. This was a fun and lighthearted dual POV vacation romance that was the perfect way to end out the summer. Great on audio and recommended for fans of authors like Christina Lauren. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

The most perfect summer read! So so so fun, the writing style just captivated you, i promise you will not what to put this book down once you start! This was perfect parts sweet and spicy and you MUST read it before summer is over!! This book will have you smiling, kicking your feet and swooning. I highly recommend the audiobook!!
Perfect if you loved the unhoneymooners by christina lauren or you like the authors Annabel Monoghan, Ella Maia’s, Carley Fortune or Abby Jimenez!!
Putting the insta-love aside, this book was cute!
As a journalist, I personally don’t recommend the FMC’s reporting tactics, but ethics, schmetics, am i right? Otherwise, it was short and sweet and a nice palate cleanser about two childhood acquaintances turned enemies—due to, you guessed it, a whole lot of miscommunication—stuck together on a very fancy cruise for 10 days. What could possibly go wrong? 😏
Spice was surprisingly spicy at like 3/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️

ALC REVIEW - releases 9/3
I saw this audio available to request on NetGalley and something about it was just speaking to me. Let me tell you, this one was such a treat. A PERFECT summer read with such fun beachy/tropical vibes. Phillip + Casey were in the debate club back in the day, and a group of mean girls and peer pressure caused a massive rift between them. Fast forward to now, Casey is an aspiring journalist who opens her big mouth and is now set to try and land an interview with Phillip while cruising on his newest cruise ship, Aurelia. The setting of this book being on a cruise ship was so fun and made me *slightly* reconsider my absolute fear of going on a cruise. These two had such fun banter and delicious tension. One thing that really stuck out to me was Casey’s fast friendship with Sienna, Sienna is a girl’s girl and was exactly what Casey needed in her life, honestly, everyone needs a Sienna. I think Casey’s character growth was inevitable throughout this book considering Phillip and Sienna’s support she really grew into herself. The narrators were both actually new to me narrators and thought they nailed each part and character flawlessly. So glad I picked this one up!

Caribbean Crush is a fun spicy romcom. I enjoyed this one, but it just wasn't my favorite. It had a lot of promise in the beginning, it was funny and had me interested. Afterwards, it started to get very insta lust and just spice, where I felt their connection was missing. I just felt something was missing between them to make me truly believe their connection. It felt like a fun fling, I didn't feel they had a deep relationship, so for me when they were like IN LOVE, it didn't fully make sense.
I truly loved the setting of the cruise ship, I thought that was really fun, I haven't read one like that so for me it was new. Overall still a fun read it was just missing something for me regarding the plot and storyline.
✨️Thank you to @netgalley, @brilliancepublishing & R.S Grey for my gifted ALC in exchange for an honest review.
RS Grey is such a fun author! Her books always have me nodding along and bursting out into fits of laughter. With such genuine dialogue and storylines, I absolutely loved seeing Casey and Phillip reconnect. Their chemistry was sizzling and while I did understand Casey's reservation at taking things further, I felt like shaking her to tell her to just go for it! The ending was incredibly sweet and once again, I will be eagerly awaiting for Grey's next installment.
This was a quick and easy breezy read. I had a great time listening to the audiobook ARC of this.
Starting from its cover I absolutely love it and then the plotline was well paced and written. The characters were well drafted and each had been given sufficient scope to contribute to the plotline.
Phillip and Casey are so much fun together and it was great to see Casey evolve on the cruise and stick up for herself. Phillip gradually learns to unbend and trust her, and the enemies to lovers trope is fulfilled. There is so much chemistry between the two of them and when they finally act on it the sparks fly and things get a little spicy. It's the perfect summer beach/pool/vacation read. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the narration by Jeremy York and Luci Christian.
This had so much potential and not enough good story telling behind it. The female narrator was super annoying I couldn't get past her voice the story was just not there to keep me entertained.
"Caribbean Crush" is an entertaining gem that combines romance, humor, and a delightful enemies-to-lovers storyline that kept me hooked from start to finish. The story follows Casey Hughes, a spirited travel journalist, as she embarks on a Caribbean cruise to interview the enigmatic billionaire Phillip Woodmont. Their initial animosity sets the stage for a whirlwind of witty banter and undeniable chemistry.
Jeremy York and Luci Christian's narration brings the characters to life and enhances the reading experience. Their performances wonderfully capture the humor and passion of the story, making it a joy to listen to.
R.S. Grey has crafted a well-written tale with characters you can’t help but fall for, each bringing their unique charm to the narrative. The perfect blend of romance and laughter ensures that this audiobook will leave you smiling long after you’ve finished it.
I received an advanced copy from NetGalley to listen to and review; all thoughts and opinions are mine.
The Caribbean Crush follows Casey as she goes on a 10 day cruise on Aurelia's mayden voyage. Casey is a "journalist" for Bon Voyage and this is her very first trip/article that she has been assiagned to. Casey only got the job because Bon Voyage wants her to get the scoop on Phillip Woodmont, who is a shipping heir. Their paths have crossed when they were competetors in the schools quiz bowl. To fit in with the other girls Casey was susposed to sabatoge one of their opponets with a laxitive. She couldn't go through with that plan, so she made sure that the boys buzzer was cut and not working. Phillip and Casey had a friendship and unbeknownest to her, Phillip was stationed at the third spot and not the first one when the tournament begins. From that day on they were no longer friends. Casey only wants an interview from him and will do anything to get one. Phillip just wants her off the ship before the 10 day cruise is finished. He will do anything to avoid her. This was a cute friends to ememies to lovers book. I loved it from the first chapter.
