A Variety of Historical Romance Tales

This boxed set includes six entertaining historical romance stories from various eras. There is an Arthurian tale, one from the times of Goths and Romans, Regency and Victorian romance, and one that takes place during the American Revolution. There is even an LGBTQ historical romance. My favorite story is “To Trust a Highwayman" by Anastasia Hayward. I look forward to reading what these authors write next.

This book was a lucky find. I'm always searching for new historical romance authors to follow. I enjoyed all of their stories and hope to read more from them in the future.

I love reading anthologies - it’s an enjoyable way to discover new to me authors, or a way to enjoy new shorter works by authors I’m familiar with.

While I didn’t adore any of the six stories here, I still passed a nice long weekend reading.

Thank you to Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for the DRC

Amazing! Six stories in one package showcasing six new talented authors. Each story takes the reader through a different historic time period which is fantastic for those of us who love history. It's an enjoyable ride to read new authors getting a feel for their writing style, creativity and talent. Most are generally closed door and sweetly done. The Highwayman has some steam to it and a Gift of Honor stretches societal norm both now and then. If you're new to historical romance, this is a great way to get your feet wet and find authors you want to follow. If you're an old reader, like me, it brings a bit of diversity into the mix.

Always fun to read an anthology of stories by different authors and style.
Enjoyed the sweet clean ones but my favorite was the “Highwayman”
It was intriguing story with twists with romance and sexy scene.
Lighthearted enjoyable quick reads.

This anthology of Historical Romances wasn’t my preferred cup of tea. I actually love HR anthologies, but this was quite boring.
The first story was set in King Arthur’s court and was about his Knight, Prince Erec, and a lady he comes across while he’s there to avenge his honor, Enide.
There were too many characters, and not enough plot.
Second Story
Was set in Rome
Galla Placidia the FMC, who is also the Emperor’s sister (what is that name even??) and the MMC’s Athaulf - King of Goths kinsmen
Enemies to Lovers - a little similar to Kingdom of Dreams
3 stars
Third Story
Is set in Regency and has a teacher - student trope.
Peter is employed by Heloise’s uncle to teach her (what she wants to be taught is the ‘DEVIL’s TANGO lol).
it was cute overall
3 stars
Fourth Story
Set in Regency Era with our FMC, Elizabeth, works alongside a ‘Highwayman’ with a heart of gold, to bring down a mean evil villain.
4 stars.
Fifth Story
Miss Honoria Herron and Leandra make a cute Lesbian couple. It was fluffy with a bit of angst mixed in.
3 stars
Sixth Story
Based in 1775 it is a story about Liddy and Alec Kirkwood. Alec is a militia man who falls in love with Liddy. It’s a fun read overall with a cute epilogue that wraps up their story perfectly.
3 Stars
Overall I would give it 2.5 Stars, and round it up to 3 stars!

Anthologies such as this are one of my favourite things to read. Each story within is an enjoyable way to get my historical romance fix and a fantastic way to get to know new to me authors. I enjoyed each romance especially Jenna Bigelow and Laura Browning’s contribution. For lovers of historical romances I highly recommend picking up this one. I’m giving 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval m TBR and Enjoy!
