Book 1
Mandy is a mechanic who inherited her dad’s garage and Chance just retired from the SEALs and returned home when his father passed. They were high school sweethearts who broke up when Chance left for the service.

This has a ton of steam and a great balance of suspense and pace. I also loved being introduced to Chance’s brothers who have their own books in the series.

A great quick read! Highly recommend!

Book 2

Harris is in a one month leave when his best friend and father pass. At the bar one night Rachel approaches and offers to help him forget.

Then the shock that she is pregnant comes!

Rachel runs a small B&B out of a property she and her mother inherited. Town legend says there is a pirate treasure hidden there. Her mothers latest boyfriend is convinced they MuST find it. Then strange things start happening on the property; broken stair trend, brakes don’t work in the car, etc.

Harris stays to help Rachel and they fall in love.

This isn’t my favorite trope and the story didn’t pull me in like some others by Leslie. Still a good short read.

Book 3
Viktoria’s father is worried something will happen to her while she is traveling from California to New York. He is a very wealthy businessman who deals with threats routinely. He hires a security firm to accompany her on the trip.

Lee was just medically discharged from the Army Rangers. He takes a job for a private security firm.

Lee is working to protect Viktoria and the sparks fly. Then danger hits! Lee does everything needed to protect her from some surprising people.

Great read. Special visit from the characters in the first two books and a nice wrap up at the end.

Book 4

This was a great, quick read about a second chance romance. There was certainly some mystery and suspense that kept the pace of the book moving. By nature of being a 200 page book some details were missing or could have been built upon.

Book 5
Not my personal favorite. Didn’t love the suspense of the MC rush to find a mother for his daughter.

Book 6
This one was fine. The suspense wasn’t there for me. Alex is a SEAL who returns home to find his ex is very pregnant. During his last mission he got the wrong guy mad and he is seeking revenge.

Loved seeing the brothers and cousins!

A nice set of military romances, they were interesting reads, but I found them a bit formulaic and sometimes not enough romance and more plot heavy, drama focus

Delicious six-pack of romances!

Have you ever grabbed a pack of six Klondike bars? Each one is exactly the same as the others, each is a guilty pleasure that you know you'll thoroughly enjoy, and none of them will have any surprises. Those are the exact reasons why you buy them. And those are the same reasons you're going to love this box set by Leslie North.

Our heroes are all military men, two sets of three brothers each, and they go down like the smoothest chocolate wrapped around the sweetest vanilla. These are sure to melt in your mouth with lots of action, romance, and drama, and just enough emotional depth to remind you that this is the good stuff.

Next time you're snacky for a good romance, grab this set and treat yourself to a deliciously good read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I’ve read some of Leslie North’s stories before (including some that are in this set) but it’s nice to have these books all together in one compilation. While I think reading each book in order will make the experience better, it is not necessary because each book can be read as a stand alone.

I’ve only read the first three so far, but each one has been a hit and I look forward to reading the rest. So far Saving Mandy has been my favorite, but I’m really vibing with the second chance trope these days.

If you’re looking for a way to delve into a world for a little while, then I highly recommend this series! The characters are well developed and likable, the editing is on point, and the stories are solid.

Thank you to Netgally for sharing this book with me. These are my honest thoughts.

6 military from 2 different families, McAlister and Vale, find their second chance at love in Springwell. Each book was well written, showcasing the tension (emotional and sexual), forgiveness, protectiveness and a path to heas. A good collection to read.

Protecting Mandy:
This wasn't well-enough developed to be a good book.

This focused too much on the plot, which wasn't very good either. But in doing so, we didn't get any character development or any way of connecting to its characters. Each time they fought, she ran away from him; which explains why they were apart for 12 years.

I didn't feel curious about where the story was leading, and didn't care much for any of the characters. Honestly, they were quite annoying with their poor communication skills.

Saving Rachel:
This isn't going so well for me...

I don't like the way women are portrayed in this series, they're overly emotional and run away from conversations. Plus, they're all helpless without their men. Ew. It's very frustrating to read. And may I say, not realistic at all. They're all independent and have their own businesses but need their men for protection(?) Get security cameras first, please. Learn the basics of self-defence, second. And ask them for help, in being the safest possible. But don't depend on them completly to feel safe....

The plot isn't realistic in the slighest (constantly trying to kill her for a "buried treasured" no one even knows if it exists), the characters are not developed, and the obstacles for the couple not being together is miscomunication and stupid arguments. I'm not enjoying this so far.

Guarding Viktoria:
So far, this was my favourite in the series.

It's still insta-lust, they fall in love very quickly and the relationship between them progresses at the speed of light. Bear in mind that they did the devil's tango in day 1 of knowing each other, and loved each other by day 2.

Rescuing Carolyn:
Meh, could've been better.

It had quite a few typos, the characters (again) weren't well developed and the plot wasn't very good. The story behind why Carolyn was being targeted didn't make much sense to me. I would've thought that her mom would be the main target, after learning about his reasoning.

Idk, I didn't care much for the story or the characters. It's not the worse I've read, and it's short which makes it easy to finish but it's not very compelling. Id doesn't make you care much about what will happen.

Sheltering Lily:
More of the same, not bad but also not good.

The plot in this one was basically non-existing. Therefore, you'd think there would be more time for character development, right? Nope. We don't know much about them at the start, and you know almost the same about them when you get to the end.

I'm still confused with the plot.... her neighbour was a drug dealer and had a thing for her, so he started stalking her. Police was catching up to him so he had to run away; but instead, he risked getting caught just so he could literally kidnap her(?) A girl he barely ever spoke to? Boy.... does that make sense to anyone? I don't know.

Their relationship was fine, but nothing crazy; I didn't feel like rooting for them. Honestly, because there's not much about them that's relatable. I guess this isn't my type of book but it's fine for a quick read.

Shielding Soledad:
This series follows the same formula with every book; if you enjoy the first book, it's most likely you'll like them all.

My favorites was the first one (Protecting Mandy) and the third (Guarding Viktoria). If any of this books is worthy of a read, it's either one or the other. The third is my fav tho.

They're good books but they could use a few more pages of character development, they'd be great if I could relate to the characters.

Thank you NetGalley, Relay Publishing and Leslie North for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Springwell Series is 6 books following the lives of the 3 McCallister brothers and the 3 Bale brothers. They’re elite military men who have overcome tough childhoods to be the best of the best but are facing obstacles in personal relationships. Each book focuses on one man and the woman they fall for. Each woman is strong and impressive in her own right but finds herself in a dangerous situation where the MacCallister and/or Vale brothers must step in.

Each story is a quick read, told in two perspectives. I enjoyed the books but since they are shorter they resulted in very quick resolution and very fast character growth.

There may be some sensitive topics (stalking, arson, robbery, unplanned / surprise pregnancy, kidnapping, guns, violence, IED, etc)

I've already read books 1 through 4. I was so glad to be able to finish this series and see all of the brothers and cousins getting their happily ever after. They are great military romance novels.
