A great romance with a touch of magic and a great deal of finding oneself and introspection. Well written, with a ton 9f supporting characters with the MCs both making choices that have positive and negative effects on their lives.

What a beautiful and colourful cover for such a great story.
The story follows Jane, an investment banker who has a successful sister and is in love with her best friend. Having lost a promotion, she visits a bookshop and is given a pack of magical cards that change her life.
The characters are so beautifully written that you feel that they are real people. Jane is lovely, and I really could see myself being friends with her in real life! In fact, I could see many of the characters as my friends.
It's a lovely story that really is an adult fairy tale! It's heartwarming and just a lovely cosy book perfect for approaching autumn evenings.
Highly recommend!
Tantalizing quick read. When Jane McAllister is gifted a special pack of magical cards, her world opens up to her deepest desires. But there are lessons to be learned along the way. Written in an easy, but compelling, voice, I was intrigued and thoroughly enjoyed it. Perhaps the characters lacked some complexities and the lessons were a little too on the nose, but it was a fun read.
This was such a unique story I was enamored from beginning to end. Not only was this story entertaining but really had some deep lessons to reflect on. It's about love, life, friendship, envy, but mostly consequences. I thought this was beautifully put together and the story telling was top notch.
It appears twice on my shelf, this is my review:
A cute and entertaining novel, the heartwarming story of how magical cards changed the life of an overachieving underdog as she's good at what she does but not as famous as her actress sisters.
The cards will help her to start again but there will be also lessons to learn and prices to pay.
Heartwarming and compelling.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
