Thank you to Bookbuzznet and Netgalley for the arc
Debra Grant, spouse of esteemed attorney Tug Grant, was brutally assaulted in her Minnetonka home on Wednesday morning and died later that afternoon at Park Nicollet Hospital.
What a brilliant read and made better with the knowledge it's based on real events.
Weber writes a compelling book with a brilliant plot that keeps you engrossed and committed. A real page Turner from the off.
And I do love a good crime thriller. This delivers on every score with fantastic plot execution, real to life characters all extremely well developed.
I'll definitely need to read Weber's other books now
This is a thrilling read with a terrible crime at the centre, set in an unlikely neighbourhood which leads to all sorts of shocks. I really liked the writing style, especially how the author introduced and developed the characters. The pace is amazing and I honestly did not want to put this one down.
This book comes with a character cheat sheet. which is helpful in remembering characters.
This is a stay up late (light on!!) because you can't just read one chapter. It's hard to put down.
It's based on a murder that was dubbed the crime of the century. Debra Grant was violently attacked in her home. She managed to escape and drag herself to four different houses before finding help. She later dies in the hospital from her injuries. Her husband has been a cheater but seems to have left that behind to focus on Debra and their marriage.
Really great book. Wouldn't have discovered with out NetGalley. Will definitely handsell this!!
4/5 stars!
