📚Delightful: strong female bonds + lovely, sweet romance🐑

Kazz & Saul: a couple that made me smile. Without a load of upset to Kazz's London life they never would have met and that really would have been a shame. Although they have their everyday troubles and triumphs after Kazz's initial flight to the Welsh countryside, the story is easy, upbeat and a great, cozy romantic read. And it's also steeped in plenty of female bonding and support from Kazz's BFF and her village cohort of friends to the more mature ladies like Betty, who was feisty and commanding: a real character! And the surprise bits of humor brought by Saul's cheeky sheep Donald: chuckle worthy.

If you love the idea of a common love of reading being a big part of the couple's connection, look no further than this cute story.

Thanks to Canelo Books and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Thank you Netgalley for this fun ARC. What a cute, cozy book! I loved Kazz and Saul! I felt like I was reading a Hallmark Movie, and it was truly wonderful. I took my time to read this book. It was the perfect read to pick up during a reading slump. I felt like the characters Lilac Mills created were relatable and loveable. I love Tanglewood, and wish I could go there and visit Kazz's bookshop, the tea shop, and pick up some flowers at the local flower shop. I had no idea it was part of a series until I read the author notes. I immediately hopped on Amazon and bought the other three books in this series. I don't think I missed out on anything, by not reading the other three books first. I'm actually excited to jump back and get to know Kazz's friends better and hear their stories. This book could be a standalone, but I have a feeling you will want to read the whole series.

I gave this book 4 stars because there were a few typos I found while reading, and instances where a word was used incorrectly. I loved the characters, but there were no scenes in it that made me squeal, kick my feet, gasp, or laugh out loud. Still a wonderful book, but it wasn't a five start read for me.

Thank you Lilac Mills for this adorable, truly relaxing novel.

A New Start Novel

A story about going with the flow of life and accepting opportunities as they arise. Kazz almost ends up running a bookshop by accident, or was it fate? Saul has a reputation to live down. An easy to read cosy romance.

Love the secondary character of Betty.

I’ve not read any other Lilac Mills books set in Tanglewood, but I’m off to look them up now.

A cute story of new beginnings, second chances and the powers of a close-knit community. I loved most of the characters and the idyllic setting. Add a cosy bookshop setting and I was happy. A wonderful Christmas story.

Even though I didn't grow up with Christmas traditions and don't practice them, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can easily imagine it being the perfect read during a winter break, paired with a cozy cup of tea or hot chocolate while snow gently falls outside. The romance was heartwarming, and the characters, setting, and atmosphere all came together beautifully.

This book was such a sweet, cozy, festive read! Kazz is a smart and mature woman, despite many hardships being thrown at her at once. And Saul was the perfect blend of protective and supportive without being overbearing. The two of them were so sweet together and I was rooting for them the whole time. I loved the small-town setting of Tanglewood with it's quaint shops and quirky residents. I wish I could move there! Although this book is set at Christmas, I felt like the focus was more on Kazz and Saul, not the holiday. If you are a fan of sweet, closed door holiday romances, you will love this one!

Thank you Netgalley, and Canelo for an early copy in exchange for my honest review!

Firstly, thank you so much for letting me read The Tanglewood Bookshop early.

I definitely want to go back and read more from the Tanglewood collection

An unusual story set in Ireland. A cozy mystery in an Irish village with a bookshop which sounded like my idea of heaven. A quick read but lovely. I enjoyed the twists in this one. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

The Tanglewood Bookshop by Lilac Mills was such a cozy and quick read, it made me look forward to the holidays! This book is part of the Tanglewood series but it can be read as a standalone and I’m looking forward to reading the rest! It is a miscommunication trope that ends with a HEA.

The universe aligns in Kazz’s favor after her life implodes. Kazz ends up finding love when she was not looking for it after she relocates to small town, Tanglewood. Saul is the typical player who cannot keep a girl past the 4th or 5th date and had sworn of dating UNTIL he meets Kazz. Mrs. Lilac Mills made me despise Joelle (the reason Saul turned into a player) with as little as one small interaction. This book made me feel giddy, made me laugh, and it gave me that “feel good” feeling. While I loved Kazz and Saul, I have to admit little old Betty was my absolute favorite character. I loved that she was bossy and intuitive, all for the greater good. We all need a Betty in our lives!

Thank you NetGalley and Canelo Digital Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Christmas is just my favourite time of year so this was a great book for that. Rural life is where I come from so reading about it is fun, I love all the festive vibes and the romance is delicious.

As someone who has always dreamt about opening a bookshop, this book brought me pretty close to living my dream! I absolutely adored this book and will definitely purchase a copy once it's published, because it's the type of story you can get lost in and it'll give you all the cosy festive vibes!

The story follows Kazz, a chef in London who finds herself at a crossroads just before Christmas when she abruptly loses her house and job. Wanting a reprieve and a change in scenery, she decides to visit her BFF Stevie who lives in Tanglewood; an adorable small town where life moves at a gentler pace and the holiday season is felt in every corner. But what starts as a temporary escape turns into something more when she's convinced to open a bookshop by her friends - something she had never dreamt she could do amidst the chaos of her life in the city! In order to embrace the new possibilities that the holiday season could bring, Kazz needs to learn to adjst to the slower, more intimate pace of slow-town living, while also trying not to fall head-over-heels for the town's Lothario, Saul!

The contrast between bustling London life and the warm, relaxed atmosphere of Tanglewood is captured beautifully in this book, to the point where I am now convinced I want to move to a small town, too. And then we have romance! The attraction between Kazz and Saul is almost instant, but their contrasting priorities in life as well as some outside meddling causes tension between them, and a reluctance to fall in love. Despite this, they're still drawn to one another, and I love how they learn to grow as people while at the same time finding themselves.

The stars of the book are, hands down, Betty - a no-nonesense, get-it-done character, whose meddling ways and big heart I need in my life - and Donald, who I would adopt instantly if given the chance!!

Overall, this was one of my favourite reads of the year and I cannot wait until it's officially published! A huge and warm thank-you to NetGalley for this ARC.

Kazz trades her bustling London life for the serene charm of a bookshop in the quaint village of Tanglewood. As she adjusts to the slower pace, she finds herself facing a dull holiday season—until she meets the irresistible Saul. Though drawn to him, Kazz is wary of his reputation as a player. As Christmas approaches, she must decide if she's ready to embrace a festive romance or if Saul will be just another fleeting chapter in her life.

While part of a series, this book could be read as a standalone just fine. I adored Kazz's character and her story, and this book made me want to read the rest of the series as I haven't yet!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
I love this author's books, but despite purchasing other books in this series I have to admit I haven't got round to reading them yet. Having read book 4, that has to change! I was able to enjoy this as a standalone novel but like her other series this is full of delightful characters, and I'm sure it would be better to become familiar with them as the stories grow. There are wonderful descriptions of a lovely area and village life, and the feeling of Christmas is threaded throughout with the festive celebrations and food - make sure you have a snack to hand because there are many times I felt hungry! The clean romance is credible, and not without its hiccups, as a reader would expect. In all this is a lovely Christmas - themed book and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

This book is the 4th book in the Tanglewood village series but I hadn’t read the others so it can be read as a standalone.
The book features Kazz as we follow her journey after she loses her job and moves to Tanglewood. I loved the description of the area and could imagine walking on the snow topped mountains or having a hot chocolate in the village.
The characters were brilliant and had me laughing out loud in parts with Betty and Donald being my favourites.
This was a brilliant Christmas romance which I would definitely recommend
I can’t wait to read the first 3 books in the series and eagerly await the next instalment.
Thanks to NetGalley, Lilac Mills and Canelo for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
