This was my first read by Author Ashlee Mallory and the first in her You Again series. The underlying story lines were little to far fetched for me. But the way the story was written was nice. I enjoyed the build up of the mystery that had to be solved. The other issue I had was the cover of the book really did not go with the story of the book.

We meet Allie McBride, school teacher, but with a very religious family, yet she does not seem to practice their faith. She was always the shy girl in high school with a crush on the hot guy. But when Sam Fratto returns to town not only does he turn Allie's world upside down personal but also professionally. He is going to be teaching in the classroom next to hers.

As events seem to turn them toward each other for support, then to try to solve a murder, they learn things about each other that only makes the past become more present. Will Allie and Sam be able to solve the mystery or will the murderer get away with it?
