This has to be my favorite of the trilogy. Iris is a widow, single mother, and accomplished professional coming out of the hiding she went into when her life path changed suddenly. Her reticence to get into anything new, particularly with someone like Angel, makes perfect sense and is well communicated. Angel is similarly accomplished in his career as a pop R&B singer, but grappling with identity and family in ways that Iris has never had to, and I really enjoyed the peeks into his head as he navigated conversations with his family and friends about the direction of his life.
Ultimately, I just think these two make perfect sense together, and it didn't hurt that Angel is the definition of man obsessed. His relentless, but respectful, pursuit of Iris was sweet, and their dynamic made me laugh enough within the first few chapters that it was a breeze to finish. This was a highly anticipated release of the year for me, and I was not disappointed.

I absolutely loved this book! I think it's officially my favorite out of the series. Lily's grief and trauma was so real. I loved go see her growth and her realization that she deserved love. Angel's growth was great to read about. We got enough information about side characters as well.

The third and final Greene Sisters book is finally here, and I think it's my favorite one yet.
THE LOVE LYRIC certainly has the most depth out of all of the books. Iris is a widow who is still grieving the loss of the love of her life, while also trying to thrive in her career and be present for her lovely little girl. Angel is a successful pop artist, but is feeling unfulfilled in his career as he struggles to get his label to let him write the R&B music he really loves. He's also been pining for Iris for years, knowing she wasn't ready for a new love story yet.
I loved how Angel was willing to wait for Iris and took the time to break down her walls. Iris wasn't used to someone taking care of her, and I loved seeing Angel be that for her.
There are certainly deep discussions of grief in this book, especially the grief of experiencing joyful celebrations after your loved one has died. Kristina Forest handles this with the utmost care, though, and this book is beautifully written.
I wish we got more of Iris's relationship with her daughter Calla, and conversation between the two about Iris moving on from Calla's dad. Calla was a precocious kid; I feel like an opportunity was missed for a very heartwarming conversation between them.
Overall a delightful ending to the series. I can't wait to see what Forest writes next.

This book was an adorable slow burn. The Greene sisters are some my favorite fmcs. I feel like I could be friends with them in real life. I was so excited to read Iris, cause from the first book with her first interaction with Angel, I knead I would like them. And I wasn’t disappointed, these two were adorable and touching.
I loved Angel, sweet Angel. I loved how patient and caring he was with Iris. I loved how humble and kind he was, even as celebrity. He just always had the words to make my heart melt. And Iris was a relatable character. I loved Angel how good of mom she was. She was so strong and independent, always taking care of everyone. I loved that she let her walls down and allowed Angel to love her and soothe her heart.
The writing was good. It didn’t feel boring or repetitive. The story felt like watching a sweet romcom on a Friday night, relaxing after work. This book made me smile.

I loved it just as much as I loved the first two books. Kristina has done it again. I enjoyed reading about Iris, Calla and Angel.

Thank you to Berkley Romance for the free book and to PRH Audio for the free audiobook. These opinions are my own. #BerkleyPartner #Berkley
This is the third book about the Greene sisters, and it highlights Iris. She is a single mom, and we saw her initial interaction with Angel previously. Now it's a couple years later, and Angel is a big pop star. He agrees to be a brand ambassador for her company, so the two of them have some forced proximity.
I have really enjoyed this series, so I definitely wanted to continue it. But celebrity romance isn't always my favorite. I think I liked this one because we knew Angel before he made it big, and we still saw a lot of him as a person. The power differential didn't feel as unbelievable as it could have. And the songs he wrote for her... Steal my heart.
I would have liked a few more interactions with Iris's daughter to fully enjoy her as a mom. But I did enjoy all her interactions with her sisters and the insight we got into how their romances and lives are going.
Ian Hackney and J. Shani Michaels narrated. I really liked her. He was very quiet and tough to hear. I kept adjusting the volume, but the issue seemed more to be his tone than the actual volume. So I preferred reading this one in the paper format.

Definitely sad this was the ending of The Greene Sisters series. I will forever hold these ladies close to my heart.
Such a heartwarming and inspiring story of each sister!
I absolutely adore Angel for how gentle, caring, patient and supportive he was. He was the definition of a gentlemen. The way he was with Iris from the beginning , I just knew he was going to win my heart. Angel deserved so much love. I didn’t like how his mom treated him, I wanted to give her a piece of my mind.
The romance in this book was so warm and sweet!
I was happy that Iris was able to open her heart up for another true love. She is always the older sister taking care of everyone else, it was time for someone to take care of her. Angel was the person!
Now let’s talk about how cute Calla is. She’s the cutest 6 year old! Such a smart little girl.
I wouldn’t mind a spin off story about Ray and Bree. 👀
I always love a happily ever after ! So thank you Kristina Forest!
Thank you Netgalley and Berkley for the arc!

Thanks so much to @berkleypub @berkleyromance @acebookspub for the free book!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The Love Lyric is the story of Iris and Angel. As someone who hasn’t read the rest of the series (yet!) this was so good. It’s a slow burn, love after loss and a sweet and beautiful romance. I loved how their history was explained and how they built their relationship but also how they grew and developed in their lives and careers. As a standalone, Iris and Angel’s romance was an old school love song that you’ll want to play again and again. I’m excited to now go back and read the rest of the series. Thank you again to Berkley for this ARC. 100% recommend. 4.5 ⭐️
Release Date: February 4, 2025

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC of Love Lyric by Kristina Forest, and let me tell you—if you loved The Neighbor Favor or The Partner Plot, you’re in for a treat with this final installment of the Greene Sisters series.
Iris, the eldest Greene sister, has been through so much. After losing her husband and the father of her daughter in a tragic accident, her entire focus has been on her family, work, and raising her little girl. Love? She hasn’t even entertained the idea. But then there’s Angel—an up-and-coming R&B artist—who has had his sights set on Iris for a while.
If you’ve been following the series, you might remember Angel from The Neighbor Favor, when Nick and Lily were navigating their secret identity/pen pal romance. Or in The Partner Plot, where Violet and Xavier’s were in the middle of their fake marriage trope. . Now, in Love Lyric, Iris and Angel finally get their time.
During a work trip, Iris gets the chance to really know Angel—his talent, his heart, and just how special he truly is. And oh, the lyrics! I didn’t think anything could top the pen pal element in The Neighbor Favor, but the way Angel’s lyrics were woven into this story made me giddy.
This book was beautifully done—heartfelt, romantic, and the perfect conclusion to the Greene Sisters’ stories. That said, I’m officially starting a petition for a Christmas novella featuring all the sisters. Give me Lily and Nick’s wedding, Xavier and Violet’s first baby, or any excuse to have the Greene family together again. Kristina, we’re begging you!

As soon as it got close enough to the release date I started it immediately. And it was so good! For a long time I thought Violet’s book was my favorite, but I think I made it through the first chapter and I knew this was going to take that top spot.
Ok so the characters were my favorite part. I have to say, Angel is…… WHEW! He is THAT. MAN. Maybe I just loved him because he has a way with words and one of my love languages is Words of Affirmation, but he was the sweetest! I kept imagining him being 90’s fine with color hair, like Sisqó. (Ok so it’s not platinum, but that’s who I thought of ok lolol ANYWAYS, Angel was so sweet and respectful. For all those women to be wanting him and for him to be able to get with any of those women too, I thought it was amazing that he didn’t. And the reasoning why? He had already fallen for Iris when he first met her. And that was all she wrote for me lmao A guy that sings, writes songs about her, AND he fell first? I was done for. And of course, there was Iris. I felt for her so much. She was doing an amazing job raising her kid. And doing it by herself? YASSSS QUEEN! She really was protective of her as well and I loved that. It was hard for me to say that he fell first because she also immediately liked him, but she just didn’t know it. When they first started talking she was so strict and all business like about everything. I loved the way he made her so much softer and the way she changed because of it. They were the cutest.
I do wish there was more plot to this tho. I wanted to see more with his mom. She was annoying, but I think I would have liked it more if something had been fixed. At the very least if he and his dad were doing better. Idk, it just felt like it left a lot open. The only reason I didn’t remove anything was because I know that’s a preference thing and most people were just happy to get rid of her, but still.
The romance itself was good. I enjoyed them sneaking around trying to act like they didn’t like each other. I hated the third act tho. Because girly pop didn’t believe any of the things she was saying herself. It was just too much lol I loved them. And the way they showed up for each other even when they didn’t have to! That’s what stuck out to me the most. They needed each other before they loved each other and I loved that.
I knew I was going to love this, but I didn’t know it was going to end up as my favorite one in the series. Just something about seeing Iris become softer and come undone because she found the man she loved. Loved that for her. I hope this kind of love finds anyone else looking for it.
Real Rating 4.5!

I love the Greene sisters! The Love Lyric was the perfect way to end the Greene sisters series. Kristina Forest is such a comfort writer for me! I love how she writes her characters and gives them such depth. Iris' story might be my favorite?! I loved this so much! It works as a standalone but I loved reading them in order. I love the whole world Forest has created and can't wait to see what she does next! She's become an auto-buy author for me.

My favorite of the series! The three Greene sisters - named Iris, Violet and Lily by their plant-store-owning parents - are all fun. And the story of Iris, who was widowed at age 28, finding love again is soooo sweet. 😍
I love how Iris was careful about introducing Angel to her daughter Calla. And I liked the backstory of Angel - a famous R&B singer. I also liked Dahlia, the Greene matriarch, butting into things haha.

This book had me deep in my feelings, pulling me into the raw emotions of the characters in a way that felt so real. Their struggles, joys, and uncertainties reminded me that love is all about taking risks and letting go of the need for everything to make sense.

This is my second book by Kristina Forest and I need to read more because I enjoyed reading the love lyrics and seeing Iris's journey into letting someone back into her heart especially because of how close off she was. And Angel lives up to his name I like how patient and respectful he was so I will definitely recommend this book it was a great read so definitely check it out.

Huge thank you to @prhaudio for the free audiobook & @netgalley for the advanced reader copy of one of my most anticipated romance releases of the year!!!
The absolute audacity of @kristinaforest_ for this series…it has ALL the things. I am obsessed with her ability to write characters with beautiful depth and realness in a true romantic comedy format. I loved the first two books in The Greene Sisters series and I was so impatient waiting for Iris’ book!
This book is tender and sexy and, despite dealing with a celeb love interest felt so genuine and realistic! Iris is a widowed single mother and Angel is a famous R&B singers whose paths cross with an instant spark!
While the chemistry is there from the very beginning, this book isn’t relying on instalove to propel it forward. It’s forbidden love and two folks learning to heal together and “tell me I shouldn’t” and all of the best things!
The Love Lyric is out on 2/4 and you do not want to miss it!

THE LOVE LYRIC by Kristina Forest

📖 The third book in the Greene Sisters trilogy is undeniably romantic. 🥹 The story follows Iris, a devoted single mom and corporate exec, and Angel, a successful R&B artist searching for deeper meaning in his music and relationships. Iris, who lost her husband shortly after their wedding, has poured her energy into her career and motherhood, leaving little room for herself. Meanwhile, Angel, despite his fame, is yearning for authenticity in his life.
Their worlds collide when Angel becomes a brand ambassador for Iris's company, sparking both a professional partnership and a blossoming romance. Together, they face the challenges of balancing work, family, and their growing connection, discovering if they can create a love that endures.
💭 Smart and sexy, heartfelt and mature, this slow burn romance pulled me in from the very first page. The story beautifully and tenderly captures the complexities of love, family, grief, and personal growth. Forest’s writing is both touching and engaging, drawing readers into Iris and Angel’s story as they navigate a love that neither of them planned for. Themes of healing, second chances, and the transformative power of love are woven seamlessly throughout, resulting in a stellar conclusion to the trilogy. 💖
4.5 stars

I wanted to love this book as I couldn't wait for Iris's book but the story was extremely slow and I wasn't a fan of the third act break up. Overall it was nice catching up with the Greene sisters and I would recommend reading the whole series.

I absolutely adored this entire series. Torn between this or The Neighbor Favor as my favorite but they are all so great! Iris and Angel are the CUTEST couple with so much chemistry, it burst off the page. So many comedic moments mixed with the slow-burn romance. I sincerely hope Forest has another series in the works because I already miss the Greene sisters!

Kristina Forest’s Love Lyrics is a heartwarming, tender, and beautifully crafted romance that will leave you swooning and smiling. With relatable characters, emotional depth, and a touch of music magic, this novel celebrates love, second chances, and finding harmony after heartbreak.
Iris Greene is a heroine you can’t help but root for. From the very first page, her story pulls you in as she balances the challenges of single motherhood, a demanding career, and the lingering pain of loss. Her six-year-old daughter, Calla, is a scene-stealer, a vibrant, delightful presence who adds so much heart to the story. When Iris crosses paths with Angel Hughes, a pop R&B star with a secret crush on her, sparks fly, and their chemistry is undeniable. The dual perspective adds richness, showing both Iris’s journey of rediscovery and Angel’s struggle to find fulfillment in his music and personal life.
The romance unfolds with authenticity, from their first encounters to the inevitable complications of navigating their different worlds. The campaign tour setting adds a fun, dynamic backdrop, blending professionalism with the thrill of new love. And while their lives initially seem out of sync, Forest weaves their journeys together in a way that feels genuine and rewarding.
As a fan of Forest’s previous novels, I loved seeing glimpses of her former main characters. If you’re a purist, I highly recommend reading her books in order to avoid spoilers, as these cameos are a treat for long-time readers.
The audiobook, courtesy of Berkley Romance and PRH Audio, is an absolute gem. It brings the characters to life, especially Calla, whose warmth and charm shine even more in audio format. The story’s musical elements, particularly Angel’s songwriting, left me longing for a playlist to accompany the book, it’s the perfect complement to the rhythm of their love story.
Love Lyrics is a must-read for fans of heartfelt contemporary romance. Kristina Forest delivers a moving, joyful tale about love, resilience, and the courage to embrace life’s second chances. Highly recommended!

I just didn’t LOVE this one the way that I did the very first in the series (THE NEIGHBOR FAVOR).
TLL is the third book in the Greene sisters’ series, and it continues to deliver with its same endearing characters and relatable family dynamics (I love that she kept the same family bbq on July 15th going even in this book too). For me, the sisterhood bond is a nice highlight, and the way Forest weaves their relationships throughout the series adds depth to the story. The romance is sweet and has some tender moments, and this story includes a fun backdrop of the music industry but I just didn’t care for their relationship.. There were quite a few moments were I felt like the story was dragging a bit.. While it may not have been completely enjoyable for me, the book does offer an enjoyable and lighthearted read for fans of the series, and it’s a nice addition to the Greene sisters’ journey.
