Backwater Justice, the latest in the Sisterhood series by Fern Michaels, is a non-stop thrill ride of a book that sweeps the reader relentlessly through events with a sense of urgency that continues right to the end.
Michaels' superb writing style provides suspense and thrills as the Sisterhood once again pursues its own brand of justice in the face of official blind eyes and entitled behaviour.
This book is escapism at its purist form, and a fun way to spend a few hours.
Thank you for the ARC of #BackwaterJustice to #NetGalley.
This is book 36 in The Sisterhood Series.
Whatever it takes!
The Sisterhood slogan.
This book starts us in the past to bring us to present day Oregon.
Once you get through the “history” of the Spangler Family, the issues around the family are really brought forward.
From kidnappings, to drugs, to affairs, you get a little of everything.
Sadly, not all of the Sisters are featured in this story, but this is a smaller scale operation, and only a few are needed.
The men are not really in this at all.
Myra does share a past with Milton Spangler which causes a few tense moments.
Annie manages to squeeze in some fast test driving of cars with one of Milton’s “son’s” in a fact finding mission. In her rhinestone cowboy boots of course.
I can’t do much more of a review, or I’ll give the entire story away.
Overall this was a quick read, not as in-depth and thrilling as some of the past books though. I do love this series and read this in 2 days.

This was a 4.5 star read for me, upped to 5 to post
Love the sisterhood series. This book is no exception. The sisters have diverse and different personalities but they work well together to bring Justice to those that are wronged. This one kept you going until the end when there was an unexpected twist. Good read. Can't wait for the next one!
What a great book, completely hooked me from the start! The "sisters" receive a call from an old friend asking them to come and help him understand some unusual things that have been happening in his company and family lately. Once they arrive, things start coming to light and they uncover so much more than they ever anticipated.
The characters are so full of personality and each so unique. The plot had everything from kidnapping, drugs, attempted murder, and deception. This is a fast paced, action filled story. I cannot wait to see what they get up to next.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
An action-packed, ripped-from-the-headlines story of smalltown secrets from the #1 bestselling author, the latest in the long-running fan-favorite Sisterhood series.
A group of women from all walks of life bound by friendship and years of adventure. Armed with vast resources, top-notch expertise, and a loyal network of allies around the globe, the Sisterhood will not rest until every wrong is made right.
Just what I expected! Good read and lots of comedic relief. I enjoyed this quick read and will recommend this 36th book in the series.
I enjoyed them bringing in U.S. Marshall Gaines, nice addition.
Characters, storyline all hold your interest right from the first page. One of the best books I’ve read this season, but exactly what I expected from this author!
As always what comes from Fern Michaels and the Sisterhood is shocking, sad, and downright comedic gold.
These women and their shannigans have filled me with excitement and laugh out loud expectations. Never have I been disappointed.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Milton calls in reinforcements when women are going missing. He calls his ex girlfriend who us part of the sisterhood. What they find is eye opening in this small town. I enjoyed this book.
Backwater Justice by Fern Michaels, published by Kensington Books, is book 36 in the Sisterhood Series.
An intriguing read, literally unputdownable, excellent written and beautifully told keeps the reader in suspense till the last page.
I have enjoyed this series since the first book. Lately, the books seem to be missing something that the first ones had.
