I was all for this book because of the location much more than the plot or love story. I felt like I was in Ireland, and having visited the Connemara before, it was lovely to be taken back with such rich story telling and description. I enjoyed the supernatural element of the ghost narration, however the romance was a big miss for me. I didn't find Ellen particularly appealing as a main character and the "insta-love" isn't something I'm very into anymore. I much prefer a slow burn or at least a bit more relationship building than what went on between Ellen and Conor.
