Kimberly Brown’s Surrender is a dazzling entry in The Arranged Heart Series, a collection that has easily earned a place among my favorites. Who would have thought I’d fall so hard for the arranged marriage trope? But Brown’s masterful storytelling makes it impossible not to.
The writing is exquisite, effortlessly pulling you into a world filled with nuanced, deeply developed characters. And let’s not forget the narrators (Chance & Aria)—absolute perfection. Their delivery adds another layer of immersion, enhancing every emotional beat with a seamless performance that feels like a true partnership between author and voice actors. Chef’s kiss on the execution!

This series has been one that I really loved since I started reading it. The romance and characters in this book has been so fun to read! I would highly recommend this book.

Surrender had to be my favorite book and now audio all of the whole series! I loved how both characters came together and basically were on a hurt my wife/husband I hurt you type of deal. Once again, I love that new narrators are getting a chance to show their work!

10/10 love everything about this serious!!!!! I wish there was a way for me to explain how much I love to read about black love and the audios where just 10 times better

I enjoyed listening to Surrender so much! The narrators brought the story to life. I read the ebook but the audiobook was next level. The book is amazing!

This was an audiobook. While I very much enjoyed the story, I didnt vibe with the narrators. The times I felt they took away from the story was when they were speaking as the other MC. Despite that the speaking voices of the individual MMC and FMC was good. And the story was written well also. This is my third read by Kimberly Brown and I'm slowly becoming a fan. These two MCs were so lovable and i love their happily ever after. I craved more at the end. This arranged marriage concept was a trope I didn't know I needed. I'm here for it so much so I have 5 other books I also need to read.

Surrender is another installment in the Arranged Heart series where we meet Kachelle Lewis and her intended Jacob Mitchell. Both have well established careers but have been unsuccessful in the love department. Once they interview with Arranged Hearts and are matched, the wedding date is set and the anticipation builds leading up to the initial introduction at the altar. Once they meet, the chemistry is apparent. As Kachelle and Jacob embark on this journey to love, the obstacles they encounter may threaten their road to happily ever after. Will these challenges prohibit them from learning more about each other and experiencing a love for all times?
I enjoyed reading Kachelle and Jacob's story. Ms. Brown does a great job with character development portraying Kachelle as a strong, independent with a successful career in dentistry and Jacob, who is a nurturer, provider and successful author. Both knew they were missing the one piece, her the man of her dreams to love and he the love of a good woman. They also had strong familial foundations to build from with their parents’ relationship although strained because of how Jacob and Kachelle met. This story was engaging and portraying how two people determined to make their marriage work and figure a way to repair the rift with their individual families. Loved the relationship Jacob had with his sister Jessa.
Overall good read and would recommend this series.

Ms Brown did her big one with this one! Our mmc is named Jacob which is a very forgettable name on an unforgettable man. He’s an illustrator and writes children’s books (and also has a sister in her 20s who I love) and he is almost 40 so yay for older characters! Our fmc is named Kachelle and she is perfect, she has no flaws so don’t look for none! She’s a little kid orthodontist. This one has so much passion and once again we get two people who are perfectttt for each other.

I absolutely loved Kachelle (Kay) and Jacob. They are among my favorite couples in the Arranged Hearts series.
After dating people without any true connection, they gave themselves a chance at love via Arranged Hearts. It was nice to see not so much of the stereotypical love and happy interactions between families. I did enjoy the complexity of the relationships in the book, and there development. The main characters attraction and relationship felt genuinely authentic. There's a desire to beat together was amazing.
***I look forward to reading this author again.

Jacob was my kind of man most definitely on my type of time! He was not shy about what he wanted and was ready for all the smoke that came with it. And I felt Kaychelle, the dating pool has pee in it and who wants to go wading through that mess! This story was probably my favorite of the series. The way Jacob and Kaychelle loved each other and fought through the adversity had me in my feels. I couldn’t get enough!
The narrators made this story come to life and I couldn’t stop oohing, aahing and laughing along with the story!

This is the third of the 6 books I’ve read in The Arranged Hearts Series. I’d give it a solid 3.5 stars ⭐️. There was a lot I enjoyed. I liked the references to faith and the prayers they prayed separately and together. Kachelle is a strong, intelligent (Pediatric Orthodontist!) black woman and I loved this positive portrayal. Jacob is an author and illustrator and his sister was pretty funny! They shared so many sweet moments throughout the book and Jacob really had some great book husband moments. I won’t spoil it but my favorite moment was in the hospital with the two families. 😭
This was a very sweet and typical love story I suppose all love stories don’t need dramatics or something over the top (good or bad). It was a nice love story with a HEA.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook to review!

One of my faves in the series!
I devoured this one in one sitting.
I love the premise of this particular couple and their dynamic. I love Kimberly Brown's writing too. This is my first book by her and it won't be my last.

Cute, cute, cute I feel like this story was funnier to though we still got that spicy that I have loved in this series. I highly recommend anyone looking for a good spicy romance this series is it.

Every woman wants a Jacob! The way he stood up for his and Kachelles' relationship in front of their parents, amid their mutual emotional vulnerability at their meet-me-at-the-alter wedding, was jaw-dropping! What had me gasping for air was how he prayed over her, himself, and their marriage, how attentive to her he was right out of the gate. He said he prayed for her so he was all in!
I loved everything about this book! I had the pleasure of receiving the audio version, and I was hooked. I finished it in just one day, then thought about it and listened to it a second time. The writing was top-notch, the character development was impressive considering the book's brevity, and the supporting cast was a perfect complement to the main characters. That sister was something else!
Thank you Netgalley and Kimberly Brown for the audio advance copy of this beautiful love story. The opinion posted is my own given under no coercion.

Wow this was such an amazing loved filled series, I will truly miss reading all the books in this series. This story follows Kachelle a pediatric dentist and Jacob a best selling children’s author. Both are ready to be married and decided to try out arranged hearts, a match making agency. These two are absolutely made for each other but their family and friends are having a hard time coming to grips with them both deciding to do an arranged marriage, you’ll see how bother Kachelle and Jacob as to remind their family and friends that they are adults and they didn’t want anything to sway their decision. The love just oozed from the pages as you read. Jacob loves Kachelle so intently and it’s admirable. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the series. A great series to warm your heart,

This one had a little more tension than the others, but I still had a good time.
Kachelle being able to dress up as a super hero once a week to clean kiddos teeth is a job perk that I don't think more employers don't use ever. I also like how Jacob's job was centered around children as well. As always Arranged Hearts hit it out of the park, and these two seemed really well matched.
Like I mentioned earlier, this one had some more family tension that I was expecting to see more throughout the series, but it was still handled well. I had a few chuckling moments because of how some situations were handled and it made me enjoy it even more.
The narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life, and I have found some new favorites for sure.
Thank you to Dreamscapes and Netgalley for an audio copy.

Another great installment to the series!
Kashelle x Jacob
I liked their story, but both their families kinda got on my nerves. These are two grown adults making a decision for themselves, if you’re not going to be supportive, stay home. Instead, they had that man ready to fight in his suit haha I hated that for them. But I loved how they stood up for each other and for what they were trying to build with one another. I loved how aligned their goals and objectives were and how ready and committed they were to make it happen. Beautiful couple.
Also, Jacob and his sister were so funny. That lady is SPOILTT 🤣🤣
Thank you Dreamscape Media for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Kachelle & Jacob were two successful individuals destined for each other but their families just couldn’t accept it. I love how they stood up for each other and their marriage. I loved how they both adored kids whether at the orthodontist office or at the local library. Jacob’s energy for his wife and their relationship was top tier, he was committed to making the relationship work regardless of those that didn’t support. Furthermore, he had no problem with being vocal about his stance. I enjoyed the narration of this book and it kept me entertained and engaged.
