I absolutely love that I found Tee O'Fallon's books. I fell into this book from the start. My heart went out Evan, Marlie, and Noah. I held my breath at times, I laughed, and teared up. I had all the emotions. I love seeing characters book to book. I didn't want to put the book down. This was an excellent read!
Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. This is my voluntary and honest review.
This read will pull at your heartstrings and leave you wanting more of Evan, Marlie, Noah and Blue. Evan has been searching for his twin sister for more than 25 years and he finally gets a break in her disappearance when he finds a young boy, Noah, in a basement. He then meets Marlie, the night janitor at the hospital who has bonded with the boy. Evan has his own tragic past but Marlie has her own as well and refuses, at first, to help find the criminals who kidnapped Noah. Little by little Noah and Evan chip away at Marlie’s walls and vice versa, Marlie and Noah chip away at Evan’s. With Evan protecting the two, they all grow closer, a makeshift family…Marlie is all in but the past keeps Evan from having a future and he may lose his “family” before they even begin…for good.
Whoweeeee I couldn’t put this book down, suspense, surprises, twists and turns, steam, great characters and a story that flowed beautifully without skipping a beat. I loved the little to no drama between them and Noah, a brave young boy and of course Blue.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Another stunning, steamy romance from this author!
Every book that I have read by O’Fallon has started strong and kept me glued to its pages throughout. In this one we are on the chase with FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry and his K-9 officer Blue preparing to apprehend a fugitive. But what they stumble into is much larger: a child abduction. Evan is astounded when he finds a young boy who appears to be drugged and on a board are pictures of other children. One of them is Evan’s twin sister who went missing 24 years ago! What is happening?! In the hospital the boy named Noah will only talk to the night custodian, Marlie. Evan senses that she is more than what appears on the surface. After talking to Noah, Evan knows he has discovered something much more sinister than expected.
Oh. My. Word. If you like thrilling, edge-of-your-seat stories with a romance (or two), you will want to read this book. There are some very memorable characters and some are human. My favorites of the non-human type are Blue and his lady-love, Crystal. Love the covers of O’Fallon books. She never fails to find the perfect representation of the MMC. Of the human-type my favorite other character is Noah. Such a wise and sweet child. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled and NetGalley.
I always love the K9 books that Tee O'Fallon writes. The agent as well as their K9s are such a good team, their dogs are amazing, and there are layers to the man. Evan and Blue are no different, I think Blue can understand what is being said because his snorts are perfectly placed. This is a fast paced, well written story, with characters that have baggage but together they heal each other. I loved the relationship that Noah and Marlie form and how it seems Blue is always there pushing them to make the right decision.
This story keeps you guessing and keeps you in its clutches wanting more. I will admit that I had no idea of who was involved. I feel like I should have because it was staring me right in the face. I was annoyed and upset when I did find out who the culprits were. The author has a way of drawing you into the case, giving you clues, and makes you feel like you're solving it right along with the characters. I loved how heartbreak from the past is the driving force of one of the characters and turns out with so many happy tears. I cannot wait to see was in store for us next from this author she has quickly become one of my go-tos.
Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review from NetGalley.
Can Evan finally get the justice he is been seeking and find what happened to her twin sister more than twenty years ago? To break the case of child abduction he needs the help of a young boy, Noah. But he is been through a lot and only trust Marlie, a custodian at the hospital. Fast paced, romantic suspense with great K-9 characters.
This is an emotional, fast-paced, romantic thriller that had me hooked from the start. FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry and his K-9 partner, Blue, uncover a lead on missing children, including Evan’s long-lost sister. Marlie Foxe, a hospital custodian with a heartbreaking past, becomes vital to Evan's investigation when a missing boy forms a special connection with her. As they work together, their chemistry sizzles, and they uncover a dangerous cult targeting runaways. The story beautifully explores guilt, grief, and healing while keeping you on the edge of your seat with suspense. O'Fallon delivers well-developed characters, a gripping plot, and a few surprises. A must-read for fans of romantic suspense.
Two wounded souls who have never totally dealt with their past trauma. Will they be able to recover and move on with what the future holds for them? Counselor Marlie Foxe is working as a custodian at the hospital, unable to return to her chosen career after her devastating loss. After finding a missing child, FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry and his K-9, Blue, return to the hospital to question the young boy, Noah, who they had found during the raid. When the boy will only talk if Marlie is there, she finds herself becoming involved in the investigation for missing children. His search for missing children is vitally important to Evan as he has never quit searching for his sister, his twin, who ran away years ago. As they work together, there is an attraction between them that neither one expected. When they realize that a cult is focused on targeting and convincing young children that they will care for them in order to have them work in their fields. They find themselves in danger when Noah decides to go on his own to find his friend. Will Evan, and his team, be able to find Noah and Marlie and return the other children to their homes? Another outstanding addition to this must-read series! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)
What an emotional thrill ride for Evan and Marlie. Another incredible story by Tee O'Fallon who is one of the best romantic suspense writers out there. This is the 3rd book in the K-9 Special Ops series but can be read as a standalone. When I met Evan in the first book, I felt very drawn to him. It was evident that he carried a lot of grief and weight from past events in his life. Serving as a member of Child Abduction Rapid Deployment team, he faces the ugliest and harshest parts of life and deeply engrains himself in every case. Enter Noah, a sweet boy who was rescued and needs a champion in his life and to keep him safe. Marlie has had her fair share of loss in her life and is just trying to survive, but she can't resist helping Noah and giving him a chance at new life and family, while protecting her heart from Evan and any future loss.
As always, the main star is Blue, a wonderful K-9 who steals the scenes. I loved this story and highly recommend it.
This is exactly what I want in a romantic suspense novel!! Marlie is working as a custodian while she works through a major trauma that happened years earlier. Evan is a K-9 FBI officer who is still searching for his twin sister who went missing when they were 12. When Evan cases crosses Marlie path they both need to face their pasts while trying to find missing children. This story was full of twists and turns, while pulling at all my heart strings!! This is perfect for an FBI show fans and will not disappoint!!
Absolutely loved Evan and Marlie's story, she found happiness again and he found his sister. Loved the suspense and edge of your seat action. The romantic chemistry was off the charts, Can't wait for what Tee has coming next. I love how she researches her books and doesn't just jump right in. Ready for the next adventure she has planned.
Ultimate Justice is an action packed, thrilling, read full of suspense and steam!
Tee O'Fallon keeps you on the edge of your seat with these exciting, relatable characters and leaves you wanting more!!!
The K-9 Special Ops series is a fantastic series!
A very satisfying end to a great series. I've been looking forward to Evan's story since the last book and it didn't disappoint. I really loved Marlie and admired at how strong she is. Her connection with Noah felt so real. The story was full of action and it pulled me in immediately. There were also lot of surprises. I really loved how the story was resolved. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ultimate Justice is the next book in the addictive series by Tee O'Fallon. The opening event in the book sets the tone for the entire book, intense and action-packed. It is a great blend of FBI procedural police work, compassion for victims and romance. In the beginning, FBI Special agent Evan McGarry and Marlie Foxe seem to be an unlikely couple. However, as they story processes it is obvious that they were meant to be together.
Loss and sorrows from the past come to light gradually in this intricate plot. The romance is gradual too as they bond over children who need special care and guidance after terrible experiences no child should ever face. Not a story to be forgotten. A special story that could happen but one with a happy ending. Romance suspense readers and dog lovers too will love this story especially since Blue and Crystal are so very heart winning.
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
While FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry and his K-9, Blue, uncovering leads on the location of missing children, he meets Marlie Fox. When one of the missing boys turns up at the hospital and allows only Marlie to get close, Evan makes a decision. That she’s going to help him, whether she wants this or not.
While they discovere horrifying truths and secrets, they get closer and no longer can deny the tension or chemistry between them. But they need to work together to find missing children and get justice for them all, including Evan’s sister.
Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a romantic suspense then you’re going to love it.
This is a police K9 story that will definitely tug on your heartstrings. You will need the tissues. Our hero has personal reasons for working on the child rescue team.
Our heroine lost her child a few years before and has been unable to forgive herself.
We have some nasty villains to find and many children to rescue. Both our lead characters will have to face their worst fears. Naturally the K9 will play a huge part in the story.
I do love this series. All the books are exciting, action packed and full of great characters. Although the heroes are all friends, each book has a totally different story. So they can easily be read on their own.
Very exciting.
Evan was a FBI Special Officer in the K-9 Special Ops with Blue as his dog. I can’t believe how hard it was for Evan to work in the missing children unit. He was good at what he did, but he had an ulterior motive as his twin sister Gracie was kidnapped over 20 years ago that had caused so much pain for Evan and his parents. Noah was an 11 year old that had escaped from the cult ranch that had been kidnapping kids in the Denver area. The poor boy was so afraid, but talked to Marlie who was a night custodian. It broke my heart why Marlie was working as a custodian and didn’t want anything to do with people. I was so glad that Noah talked to Marlie and became attached to her. He was so attached that when Evan came to interview him, he would only talk if Marlie was there. Marlie didn’t want anything to do with it, but she had feelings for Noah and wanted to help him. After someone broke into Marlie’s apartment leaving something for Noah, Marlie and Noah moved in the Evan so he could protect Noah. I loved Noah and how mature and smart he was for his age. He really pulled the heartstrings of Evan and Marlie. This book was so suspenseful and exciting that I got upset if someone bothered me while I was reading. There are so many twists and turns white the final one shocked me. This is a great book and I strongly encourage you to read it.
This was a special but hard read.
The author tackled a horrific (but unfortunately real) subject with grace and dignity, but still read with caution.
This was a perfect addition to the series, and as always with this author, made even better with four legged partners.
This is one story that will run you through a gamut of emotions over and over, and it'll stick with you for a long time.
While assisting in an escaped felon case K9 handler Evan and his dog Blue stumble upon the scene of a missing child and some clues that are the beginning of a bigger case. While trying to gather more information from that same child Noah, Evan reaches an impasse when the only responses that he gets are when the hospital custodian (who´s more than just a custodian) is around. Marlie is just trying to survive after the horrific nightmare that befell upon her family. The last thing she wants is to be around another child, even if it is to help stop a cult but there’s no way that she can resist little Noah. Having to put up with the stubborn and determined Evan and all the emotions that he brings into her almost dead-like life is almost as bad but Marlie is a tough as nails warrior. Both Evan and Marlie have had to deal with truly terrible incidences in their lives that may have caused them to stumble temporarily but have only made them stronger in the end. This book is another high octane emotional roller coaster of a ride by this author and I’m sad to say the end of her K9 Special Ops series. I will admit the high intensity had me wanting to devour this book in one sitting to find out the answers but the emotional aspect with the child endangerment issues was hard at times and had me taking a bit of a slower read with this one as it was a bit of a tear jerker ( okay I´ll be honest, I went through half a box of tissues reading this). I loved the fact that the difficulties for both leads is not something vaguely mentioned and then lightening fast resolved, but the author showed a realistic angle of how hard life can be at times, yet you can still persevere. I also loved that Noah was a bright light for both Marlie and Noah, although I think that Blue and his courtship of fellow canine Crystal was just as entertaining. 5 stars. I highly recommend the book and the series but suggest that you read the trigger warnings first because it may be ¨too much¨ for some. It´s a nice blend of action/adventure, in a realistic approach with a soft yet spicy romance angle as the chemistry between Marlie and Evan is noticeable right from the start. The suspenseful nature had me on the edge of my seat to see if I figured out the twist (I was close, but not 100% right) which amped up the intensity. While you don’t have to have read the previous books in the series to enjoy this one as it can easily be read as a stand alone (although I do recommend them all), those of you have read them will be happy to see many familiar faces. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
Heart wrenching and heart warming. Brings to light in fiction somethings that happen all over dealt with a soft touch that still drives home the point. Wrapped within the story line of Evan, FBI CARD member obsessed with loss of his sister years ago and Marlie a women whose child was taken from her. Evan has his K9 Blue. Marlie is existing. When circumstances bring them together you feel for them both. As the investigation goes on we see members from the previous two books and we start to understand the one step forward two steps back in law enforcement. Tee O'Fallon delivers another great read. Thank you or the advanced copy. I freely volunteer my honest thoughts and opinions. #UltimateJustive #K-9SpecialOps #TeeO'Fallon #EntageledPublishingLLC:EntangeledArmara #NetGalley

This is one of those stories I was looking forward to reading but also dreading. Evan's sister went missing 24 years ago. As a result, he became an FBI agent not to only to search for her but also to help save other children. He's on an elite team and devotes all he has to the job, to the detriment of having a relationship of his own. That is, until his latest case leaves him no choice but to work with the hospital custodian, Marlie, who has developed a level of trust with the latest victim that Evan needs to interview.
This is a fast-paced story in which the subject matter of child trafficking is part of the plot. There is plenty of suspense and danger, humor sprinkled throughout, strong friendships, and both a human and canine romance. Both Evan and Marlie are complex characters and as the story progresses, they begin to unravel what has happened in their pasts and begin to see a path to new beginnings.
