Tee O’Fallon has again combined action, tension, investigations, and great characterization in the third book in the K-9 Special Ops romantic suspense novel. Ultimate Justice features FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry, his K-9 Blue, and hospital custodian Marlie Foxe.
While Evan and Blue are tracking an escaped felon, they uncover a lead on the location of dozens of missing children, including Evan’s sister who’s been missing for over 20 years. Marlie Foxe’s world imploded three years ago. She’s now working as a hospital custodian. When one of the missing boys becomes a patient at the hospital, he will only talk with Marlie. Evan needs her help to find more missing children and Marlie finally agrees to work with him.

The author does a great job with characterization. Evan is intense, thoughtful, protective, and patient with children. Marlie is lonely, sad, and experiences anxiety. However, she is also kind and understanding and relates well to children. I loved their chemistry and enjoyed the slow burn romance. It was also great to catch up with characters from the earlier two novels in the series.

The opening of the book is memorable, heartbreaking, and immediately drew me into the storyline. The novel builds suspense in a way that engages readers and pulls them into the lives of the characters. The author weaves suspense, danger, action, and intense moments throughout the plot. Additionally, the world-building was terrific. I was able to easily visualize the settings. The plot is full of chasing down leads and interviewing people as well as plenty of danger for those involved. This story was a mix of investigation, planning, romance, and action that kept me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. I was kept fully invested in them finding the missing children and those responsible for their abduction. The relationship aspects of the story and some humor balance the shocking and disturbing aspects.

Overall, the storyline gripped me and kept me engaged throughout the novel. If you enjoy romantic suspense with plenty of action with strong male and female leads, then I recommend that you check out this series. I am looking forward to finding out this author writes next.

The K9 special OPS series have agents from all special departments in the force. Whereas Deck is from narcotics (Tough Justice) and Brett is from arson (Burning justice), Evan is from CARD: Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Ever since his twin sister Grace disappeared at eleven years old, Evan has been feeling guilty about her disappearance. Working for CARD helps him ease his mind a little.

Marlie has lost her son by abduction and murder. Her marriage ended and she has closed herself of from everyone. When an abducted boy is found and needs to help Evan with finding his abductors, he turns to Marlie for safety. Unable to turn Noah down, Marlie accepts temporarily guardianship over the boy. She doesn’t realize however, how this will turn her life upside down.

As usual Tee keeps you guessing and she tears your heart out, to put it back at the end of the story. Devastating, wonderful and with a lot of suspense. And of course an overdose of dogs. Loved it! Five out of five stars and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Trigger Warnings: child abduction, death, and heavy topics

What to Expect:
••» FBI Agent x Former Psychologist
••» K9 Partner
••» Hurt/Comfort
••» Found Family
••» Romantic Suspense

This book had me hooked from the start! Fast-paced and enthralling, it tackled the tough topic of child abduction and death with a sensitivity that was spot on. And can we talk about K-9 Blue? I'm such a sucker for a good dog companion, and Blue totally stole the show for me. This was my first Tee O'Fallon book, and even though I haven’t read the earlier ones in the K-9 Special Ops series, I had no trouble diving right in.

Now that I’ve read this one, that first book, which has been on my TBR forever, is officially moving up the list! I love how O'Fallon centers each book around a different K-9 partner, blending romance and suspense without letting either one take a backseat. Cold cases are tricky, but the added cult aspect had me completely hooked.

Evan and Marlie’s chemistry? Amazing. Both of them carry guilt and grief, and the way they connect over shared pain is so genuine. Evan’s thoughtfulness and Marlie’s journey from being a shell of herself to opening up were beautiful to watch unfold. The banter between the team was on point, and the mix of heartbreak, hope, and steamy moments kept the story flowing. This one’s a win for anyone who loves police thrillers with a dash of romance.

Thank you to NetGalley, Tee O’Fallon, the author, and the Entangled Publishing team for the ARC opportunity.

I loved this book. The main character, Evan McGarry, is hot and sexy. I loved every book in this series, but this one is my favorite.

The K-9, dog Blue is so special. The relationships and character development throughout the book was done to perfection.

The chemistry between Evan and Marlie is spot on.

I highly recommend this book.

This story tore me up. Even and Marlie each have a tragedy in their past that they have pushed aside to get through the day to day of life. A new event brings them together to save a boy’s life and perhaps save more children. Watching these two heal was like watching a rainbow come out from behind a cloud. This story left me with a happy heart,

Evan is an FBI special agent specialising in Missing Children cases. He meets Marlie while investigating a missing child case, where he rescued Noah, a 11-year-old boy. Due to Marlie’s connection with Noah, they end up working together on the case. Unfortunately, that brings forth painful memories of her past.

As the past is slowly revealed, I couldn’t help but cry for both of them. Even without much details, it was sufficient for me as a reader to understand the depth of their pain.

The appearance of Blue, a German Shepherd, and Evan’s K-9, helps to move forward his various investigations and also serve to lighten the mood especially in his scenes with Noah. The twist at the end was totally unexpected and I loved it!

Bravo Tee O’Fallon! I don’t know how this author keeps creating the fantastic stories, but Hooray for her that she does! This author is an immediate must read.

I think this one may be my favorite. It had everything - suspense, good romantic chemistry, and that “un-put-down able” magic that makes me stay up way too late, racing through the story to see what happens next. Five stars!

Ultimate Justice is the third book in the Special Ops Series and even though you can absolutely read it as a stand-a-lone, I highly recommend reading the first two (and every other book Tee O'Fallon has written!)

Evan is a FBI Special Agent who dedicates his life to finding missing children because his own twin sister went missing when they were children. His painful past and the misguided guilt he feels over it has him living a lonely life.
His capture of an escaped felon leads to the discovery of a missing child, Noah, which in turn reopens cold cases, including his sisters.

Noah ends up in the hospital justifiably terrified and not trusting anyone except the custodian, Marlie who he seems to bond and open up with.
Marlie, after experiencing a truly heartbreaking and life altering event three years ago, is trying to just survive day by day. She wants to fade into the background but that becomes impossible when Noah needs her and Evan won't take no for an answer.

Marlie and Evan's chemistry is off the charts. The story is intense, suspenseful, heartbreaking and heartwarming...a roller coaster ride of emotions and worth every second of putting off your daily responsibilities to indulge this book in one sitting.

Tee O'Fallon does an exceptional job explaining all that goes on with investigations that makes it easy to understand and follow along.

I can't end this review without highlighting Evan's amazing K-9 partner, Blue, who is the icing on the cake in this book and he too has a happily ever after that is just so precious.

Thank you to Tee O' Fallen, Entangled Publishing, LLC and Netgalley for the ARC!

Once again Tee has given me a hero in FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry that is strong and oh so damaged he is the perfect person to wind her stories around and like usual the dog in the story this time called Blue just about steals the show. He is deeply damaged by the loss of his sister who disappeared without trace but now he has got a lead in the shape of an escaped boy called Noah Only problem is he will only talk to one person a hospital custodian called Marlie Foxe. She has her own heartbreaking history and just wants to drift through life not been noticed by anyone. But Evanm isn't taking no for an answer and soon she is working with him. Can thy find all the missing children and can they both let down the walls they have built around their hearts to realise they are in fact perfect for one another You will have to read to see.

Once again Tee has given us a fast paced easy read that has enough red herrings that you won't solve the story in the first few chapters but will have to wait for the story to unfold which is no great hardship

This story features Evan who is finally starting to get answers to the events that have shaped him both personally and professionally. I really liked the story Evan and Marlie are very likeable characters and very heartfelt. They have both been through a lot in the past and in the story we see them develop a wonderful relationship with each other. A story of tragedy, full of tension, a story about finding answers, family, and love.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgalley

I have fallen down the Tee O'Fallon rabbit hole starting with Ultimate Justice. First I would like to point out that while this book is part of a series, it is perfect as a standalone. Right off the bat you meet FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry and his K-9 partner Blue and the abduction ring they uncover. Evan has ghosts from his past that fuel his drive to find missing children and when this case takes a major turn his motivations are higher than ever. Enter Marlie Foxe, a grieving mother who has given up on living and prefers to fly under the radar just to get through life. When her custodial position at the local hospital crosses paths with Agent McGarry, the quiet life she has chosen for herself is over and she finds herself in the middle of the investigation.

O'Fallon wove this story so well. Evan and Marlie have both experienced major trauma in their lives that have fueled their current situations. However, when forced together to work on this abduction case, they are both faced with the trauma they have pushed down for too long. I really enjoyed the character growth for each character. Despite their circumstances and at times unwillingness to open up to one another, they were able to lean on each other and heal. There is thankfully a HEA for everyone and of course romance. This is a fast paced, well rounded story that will leave you satisfied at the end.

*I will say there should be a trigger warning at the end for child abuse and child loss. As a parent, it was tough at times to experience the heaviness of the topic and Marlie's grief with no warning.

Ultimate Justice is the ultimate in suspense! Ultimate Justice follows FBI Special Agent Evan McGarry and his K-9 Blue as they stumble upon a child that had been missing. As they go deeper into the investigation more questions arise leading them into a missing children's ring that has been hidden for decades. The child Evan stumbled upon is the key to this investigation but there's only one problem - the child seems to have bonded with the hospital custodian - a woman named Marlie with secrets of her own. As Marlie works together with Evan sparks fly. But is their chemistry enough to keep these two together? And what secrets of his own is Evan keeping? This book had me engaged from start to finish. The action was thrilling and nonstop. This is the third book in the K-9 Special Ops series and can be read as a standalone. Do yourself a favor and read the other two books in the series. They are that good. Tee O'Fallon is one of my favorite authors and she never fails to impress. I enjoyed the plot and storyline as much as the romance between the main characters. The K-9, Blue, is just as much as a part of the story as the main characters. You won't be able to put this down once you start reading. This is definitely one of my top books for 2024. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Tee has give us a brilliant book that has it all! The emotions, the pain, the hope and the love both human & K9 just tugs your heart. Absolutely beautiful chemistry between Evan & Marlie that burned hot & bright. Noah melts your heart while you are angry for him. The camaraderie between the guys & their ladies is fabulous. The banter, humour from both human & Blue had me laughing hard. Blue did steal the show! Excellent suspenseful investigation with romance along the way! Read it! Honest review.

Ultimate Justice🐕

Ultimate Justice is the third book in the K9 Special Ops series. The story focuses on Evan, the FBI Agent who lost his sister when he was a teenager which ultimately shaped the rest of his life, to the detriment of his personal life😢 Marlie is a custodian at the hospital and works the night shift to have as little human interaction as she can. When a young boy comes in, she’s drawn to him and makes a personal connection which Evan sees when he comes to interview the boy.

Lines are drawn and this case is very personal to Evan - he finally has a new lead on his missing sister - and he won’t let anyone get in the way of following the lead to its end. But he soon makes a connection to the boy he rescued as well as Marlie and soon makes a discovery which will change everything he thought he knew about the day his sister went missing😳

Absolutely loved Evan and Marlie and embarking on their journey to discovery and truth…which I must admit took a path I would not have thought possible but only because the clues took me another direction🤷‍♀️ Suffice to say the ending and the “whodunnits” were a surprise❣️Blue, Evan’s dog was a hoot and I loved him in this story just as much🥰 I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and willingly leave my honest review❤️‍🩹

A sweet romance filled with love after the greatest loss. Love full of reunion and triumph. And maybe a little love for the dogs too.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Another Tee O'Fallon hit. This was a pleasure to read. I did not want it to end. Romantic suspense at its best. Evan and Marlie, a fractured and caring couple. Each of them had their own tragedy taking over their life. Finally a boy named Noah brought them together and got them to feel once again. Thank you Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Evan has spent all of his adult life searching for his missing twin sister. When a boy is discovered in the course of an investigation it leads to clues about his sister.

Evan is determined to get the boy, Noah to help him. In order to get his help he must use the one person Noah seems to trust.

Marlie has barely been living for the last three years after tragedy turned her world upside down. She is suddenly thrust in to an unexpected situation that she’s not sure she can handle, but Noah has already worked his way in to her heart in such a small space of time, she knows that she needs to help him.

Evan and Marlie are attracted to each other from the start, but neither of them is really on the right frame of mind for a relationship.

During the investigation they are forced to spend time together and they start to see that they are both broken in their own ways, but that they are also amazing and so strong in so many other ways.

I loved seeing Marlie coming back to life and fighting for the things/people she cared about. She was amazing!

I wanted to give Evan a shake one minute and a hug the next. He was so stuck in the past he almost let it ruin his future.

Noah was such a nice addition to the story and I loved Evan’s dog Blue.

I did guess who the bad guys were towards the end, but didn’t see certain parts of the ending coming the way they did.

Romantic suspense is one of my favorite genres and this is probably my favorite one so far this year. I really wanted them all to get their HEA!
