Amanda Lovelace's latest collection may be my favorite one yet. Her empowering words of encouragement have always been nourishing to young women, but I found this collection to be especially affective due to the serene strength of a poet firmly anchored in herself. I very much look forward to putting this in the hands of many, many readers.

I have been a fan othe this poet. This collection was lovely. It celebrates love for oneself, letting go of pain and past sorrows, and embracing the world on all its beauty. Some standout poems for me were Luna and Wholly. The words in those were so beautiful and I would love to put them on a wall in my house somewhere. So good!

i don’t know what’s been missing in amanda’s poetry lately but i miss that one ingredient that her previous books had. maybe it’s as i’ve grown older, i want more deeper poetry than basic level of what we have been given over the past few years.

i just want 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚.

This was my first time reading Lovelace, I have no idea why, but it won't be my last. What a tremendous collection. Personal, heartfelt, honest, pure, and oh so real. I want to gift this to every woman I know and some I don't know.

Self-help and a poetry, that's it. I love it. I recognized myself in a lots of poems and understood the other ones just as.

I absolutely love Amanda Lovelace's style of poetry and this book was no exception. I love her fierce femineity and incredible power of self-reflection. I am actually going to gift this book to a strong woman bestie who's going through a divorce. Anyone who considers themself a strong woman or a feminist would really love this book of poetry. I received a free copy of this book from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

I have been a fan of Lovelace’s poetry from the beginning. I sometimes relate completely to her books, sometimes a bit less, and this one was probably in the “a bit less” category. Neverless, I enjoyed watching her go back to intimate and personal poetry; this one felt deep and authentic and left me smiling happily at the end. Looking back on it, this is probably linked to the fact that I highlighted a lot more poems towards the end than the beginning.
Although this new collection tackles a lot of different topics, I felt it had a very consistent vibe.
Among my favorite poems of this collection were “wholly”, “she’s something of a triple goddess”, “her usual Friday night” and “poetry/the ex that never really stays an ex”, which I think encompass quite well the quiet empowering feel and the self-acceptance pervading the collection.

I have read other poetry books by Amanda Lovelace, and she followed the moon back to herself definitely did not disappoint! These poems are a gentle, beautiful celebration of trusting yourself and becoming the person you were meant to be. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know!

I have a list of women in my life that I’m going to buy a copy of this book for. I’m sad that I have to wait until October to share the wealth but the whole time while reading this I just kept thinking about how much I needed this collection and about the women I want to share it with. And honesty that’s probably the best review I could give. These poems resonate with me so strongly that I want to shove a copy of this book in everyone’s hands. So if for some reason you see this review and I haven’t given it to you yet, buy your own copy because this has me feeling the things and healing with it.

Amanda Lovelace never disappoints. Her poetry is beautiful and empowering for women. This book was more positive messages than her other ones. You can tell she's in a good place in her life.

If there was a lower score than one star, I would have picked it. Boring, uninspired and insipid. Aside from that one line on page 7 and the beautiful layout/ cover it’s a complete waste of time.

I’ve read Amanda Lovelace since I was in middle school and high school. She’s been an author and poet I’ve always related to very deeply and connected with. I am so thankful for the opportunity to have read her new book early!

I really really enjoyed this book. This was one of my favorites of Amanda’s work. Amanda’s poetry is always relatable, beautiful, easy to understand, and empowering. She makes me proud to be a woman and be part of the LGBTQ+ community. She inspires me to write my own poetry as well.

This is a must-read from her and I will continue to recommend her as an author & this book. Her writing was magical, as was her messages. All my love and flowers to Ms. Lovelace!

I always love amanda lovelace’s poetry, but this collection really stands out for me. As usual, the poetry itself is lovely, but the overall message and theme is so powerful and hopeful.

Thank you to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for the review copy.

I got this as an arc on Netgalley and it will come out in October. What can I say? Amanda Lovelace doesn't disappoint with this. I also loved the accompanying artwork. Thoroughly enjoyable.

This poetic exploration of the author's self love journey is very open and real. I've read all her past works and this somehow feels different from her previous works in a way that I can't quite explain. I enjoyed this book and some of the poems really resonated but I didn't find it as relatable as some of her previous works.

Thank you to NetGalley and Andrew’s McMeel Publishing for providing me with an E-ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Amanda Lovelace is one of my favorite poets, and this poetry collection did not disappoint. I loved the artwork, and I was able to relate to some of the poems that were in this collection.

Poetry collections are always hard for me to rate, especially those in this style. In some cases, the poems felt a bit too cliche and familiar, but in others, the imagery was strong and unique. I think Lovelace’s voice shined the most in the poems about or relating to witchcraft. I really enjoyed the magical, whimsical language used there. However, I’ve read most of Lovelace’s collections over the years, and this one was probably my least favorite. Although they said this one was meant to be personal, I felt like many poems could’ve been deeper and more emotional.

In general, though, I applaud Lovelace for promoting self-love and body positivity, and her collections are always very accessible, especially for those who might just be dipping their toes into reading poetry.

As a writer, I sometimes (frequently) worry about revealing too much of myself in my work. However, after delving into this collection, my perspective has shifted significantly.

The collection explores Lovelace’s personal journey of healing. It’s an intimate piece of writing that also serves as a rallying cry to embrace radical self-acceptance as a means of empowerment. All this while tackling challenging subjects (such as body image, alcoholism, trauma, misogyny and religion) with carefully curated frankness. 🌿

While reading, I found myself grinning at sassy moments and holding back tears. It felt like Lovelace had climbed into my mind and scurried away with thoughts I usually reserve for my therapist. It was freeing, cathartic, and truly beautiful. It served as a reminder that even in my darkest moments, as Lovelace eloquently puts it, I am “never as alone as [I] thought.”

The book is set to launch on 29th October 2024. I urge you all – get your hands on this book. It’s poetry that will uplift you and ignite a passion within you. It’s a magnificent, enchanting, masterpiece.
