This series goes from strength to strength with each new book - I would recommend reading at least some of the
previous books to set the ongoing characters in place

A new born baby has been found in her pram in a park , blood on the edge of a photo under the blanket showing
a creek. Determined to re-unite the baby with her mother Josie determines to find the creek in the photo ........ her
heart taking a fall when she realises that is Cold Heart Creek , the scene of one of Josie's first cases .
Rushing to the scene they find not only the body of the missing mother but another photo - just what is going on ?
Why is the dead woman's husband lying to them . ?
What is the killer trying to tell them with the photos ?
It's up to Josie and her team to unravel the truth and find the killer !

The Author manages to infuse her books with great characters , twisty plots that hold you from page one to the end
and just enough romance and family life to give the ongoing series continuity
I look forward to reading more in this great series

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Wow I can't believe this is the 21st book in the Detective Josie Quinn series. This is one of my favorite series and this book did not disappoint. The characters are well developed and believable. Not sure why they put up with Turner though. The plot was intricate and kept me guessing until the end. Can't wait for the next one.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and Lisa Regan for an ARC.

Loved loved loved this! I’ll admit, I struggled through the last few books in this series, but I felt with this book that old school Josie Quinn was back, the flashbacks from past Josie and past cases was just what I needed to get excited about this series again! I may even be starting to enjoy the new guy… just a smidge. I look forward to hearing more about his back story.
Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Lisa Regan does it again! I loved this book so much! It was a wild ride, starting out with trying to find Cleo Tate and figure out what happened to her. As things unfold and more bodies pop, the team works to put the pieces together. The ending blew my mind! Thanks for another great book and I can’t wait for more! This was definitely a five star read for me!

Remember Her Name by Lisa Regan
Detective Josie Quinn #21

Another riveting read that shares a bit more of Josie’s life with us ~ Great addition to the series!

What I liked;
* The prologue with Josie new on the job and how that gruesome case eventually plays into the present
* Josie: homicide detective, survivor with huge backstory in the previous books, wife to Noah, strong, resilient, intelligent, team player, compartmentalizes, and the main character of this series
* Noah: police department lieutenant, Josie’s husband, calm, wise, good leader, sees the big picture, there for Josie in more ways than one
* Catching up with characters from previous books in the series
* The glimpse into Josie’s biological family, how they are doing, and the engagement proposal scene
* Kyle Turner: hired after Finn’s death, difficult, inappropriate, glued to his phone, seems a misfit for the team…but also seems to have a backstory I want to hear
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing
* The police procedural aspects
* The murder mystery with its twists, turns, clues, red herrings, and eventual reveal of who the killer was, the motivation of the murders, and some interesting details that tied the story all together
* Thinking about if/when Josie and Noah might or might not adopt and how it will impact their lives
* Wondering if some of the side characters will eventually end up with romantic partners and more on-page time in the series (Luke, Sawyer, Kyle, Misty, Gretchen…
* Everything except…

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* The killer and a few others in on the killings
* The tie-in to corrupt cops and lawyers in the past and how easy it was for them to get away with things

Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC – This is my honest review.

4-5 Stars

Lisa Regan nails it time after time and the twenty-first book in the Detective Josie Quinn series in no exception. So clever with a myriad of twists, turns, and switchbacks, I was kept wondering how it was all going to be unraveled. The characters are all the ones we know from previous installments, playing their part except is the misogynist on Josie’s team mellowing or is he just going broke handing out $ for all his smarmy remarks? His characterization adds unfortunately a bit of reality and now even a touch of humor. A necessary and successful touch to break up the tension.

Each installment seems to get a bit darker but perhaps that is just a nod to current trends. Well written and unputdownable - many thanks to Bookoutre and NetGalley for a copy. More please.

Lisa Regan's "Remember Her Name" is a work of art in suspense and mystery. It weaves a complex plot with a relentless detective at the helm. The story grips you from the start, with its clever writing prompting you to flip through the pages in a quest to unravel the web of questions that emerge as the story unfolds.

Lisa Regan has outdone herself once more. It's hard to believe this is the 21st book, and still, the series continues to be exciting, intense, addictive, and an absolute page-turner with every installment.

The story kicks off with a flashback to Josie's early days as a rookie cop. An event which occurred fifteen years prior firmly placed in the back of her mind. Fast forward to today, and a startling discovery is made in the park: a baby crying, abandoned in her stroller, with no sign of her mother. A lone Polaroid picture left with the child becomes a pivotal clue.  On further examination of the photo, Josie recognizes a connection to the long-ago incident. The urgency mounts when another victim surfaces, marked by the same distinct signature. Now, it's up to Josie to piece together the puzzle and catch the perpetrator before it's too late.

"Remember Her Name" captures the classic elements of a gripping tale filled with suspense and excitement. It's a story that promises to hold the reader's attention and keep the reader on the edge of their seat. The plot unfurled with numerous twists that maintained the suspense, keeping me guessing at every turn. While I managed to deduce the motives, the perpetrator's identity eluded me until the very end. It was a masterful tale that never failed to surprise.

The series excels not just in its detective work but also in giving us a glimpse into Josie's personal life, adding layers to her character. Her dynamics with her husband, who is also her lieutenant, and her interactions with her colleagues are particularly engaging. There's a new member on the team, though, who hasn't quite gelled with the rest. He has a knack for getting under everyone's skin, but I sense there's depth to him that's yet to be uncovered. Unraveling his story is something I eagerly anticipate.

"Remember Her Name" provided a suspenseful and thrilling experience. Lisa Regan has joined my list of must-read authors in the genre of police procedurals. I eagerly anticipate exploring more of her work.

I enjoyed this book about Josie Quinn because her adventure was intriguing and we got to learn more about her early days as a cop. I really enjoyed the plot and how it all rolled out, it definitely kept you engaged. Kyle Turner was interesting, I enjoyed seeing him change a bit,I am interested to know more about him. My favorite part was when Josei unraveled the case and knew what to do even if it was dangerous. I highly recommend you read this engaging mystery. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Remember Her Name is the twenty-first book in the Detective Josie Quinn series. It can be a stand-alone read, but the series is so good that you will want to start at the beginning.

This one begins with a memory from Josie's first days as a rookie. then moves on to a call regarding a baby abandoned in a park in a stroller. Later it is revealed her mother was abducted with a blurry polaroid photo left in the stroller. A polaroid is left in the stroller with the baby. Several more people are abducted which leads back to the early days of Josie's career.

Meanwhile, Josie and Noah are preparing a video for the adoption agency to further their quest to have a family. Drake and Trinity add a little fun with a sweet engagement party with the family. This is a fast-paced mystery with clues being left almost like a scavenger hunt. Josie and her team race from one crime scene to the next, while trying to tie the clues together. I really enjoy this series. The characters are fully fleshed out to make them people we would like to know or have as family.

Remember Her Name is book 21 in the Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan, it's crazy to think that a series can still draw you in after so many previous books but that's exactly what this series does and if that's not a sign of a talented author I don't know what is?

Another faced past multi facet read that builds in intensity to reach a satisfying conclusion, with drama, fantastic character development and camaraderie an action packed edition to this superb series.

I have read every single book in this series and I think this may be my favorite! I really disliked Turner when he was first introduced but this book , while still annoying, he was a much better character! So much growth has happened in Josie. I just love Noah. Such a great one. This one has some twists I didn’t see coming and that’s just really refreshing. I can’t wait till the next one.

I love this series and I love this book. Josie Quinn is one of my favorite characters. I love returning to the squad room in Denton. Opening this book with Josie’s first gruesome murder scene really sets the groundwork for what to expect in this book. The bodies pile up and the detectives struggle to get ahead of the serial killer. He leaves photos prompting them to the next body and it falls on Josie to figure out what the small, blurry pictures mean.
I love seeing the different sides of Josie. She’s a fantastic detective and figures out things that none of the others can. But she’s also a daughter and sister, and she loves her family deeply, even though she didn’t discover them until she was an adult. And seeing what kind of mother she can be, seeing her with Cleo’s baby girl made my heart so full.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC of this book.

Another fabulous book in this amazing series and sees our beloved detective Josie reliving the worst case of her career and then discovering that echoes from her past were being used to murder those she was finding in the present.

Great writing and an epic storyline featuring the characters that readers of this series have come to know and live in addition there are those who have shaped Josie’s past and career, who have made her the determined woman she is.

Highly recommend reading this and the books which precede it, this is the 21st book of the series.

This series grows with each new instalment and this one of the grittiests and gripping, full of tension and suspense, and fascinating puzzles that Josie must solve.
A book I read in two sitting as I did wanted to know what was behind the kidnappings and the murders and the meaning of the puzzles to be solved by Josie.
It’s grittier than other and some scenes could be a bit too hard if you are squemish.
There’s a lot of developments in the characters, changes in relationships and we get to know something more about some of them.
I would not advice to start reading this novel in the evening as it could cause a happy cause of sleep-deprivation due to the well known one-more-chapter syndrome.
Even if it can be read as a stand alone it’s not the best to start reading the series as there’s some parts that are related to fast facts and it’s immediate to understand the reason behind some tensions in the relationships.
Tense, well plotted, gripping: go and read it.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to Bookouture for this ARC, all opinions are mine
