Another brilliant book from Lisa Regan.
Josie is called out when a baby is found in a park with no sign of its Mum. A blurry photo has been left under the baby with blood smeared over it.
Josie and the team can’t work out what the photo shows and they know the longer they take, a woman’s life is in danger.
Josie then recognises the place and when her and Turner get there, it’s not a pretty sight. When they find another photo, the time starts ticking again to find the next person.
When the second person is found Josie realises there’s a link to a case she worked on many years ago, but she can’t understand the motive.
With all the team on the case they try and stop further deaths but the killer is a tricky one to catch.
This is a gripping crime thriller that I really enjoyed. I even started to warm towards Turner and am intrigued about his back story.
I’m looking forward to the next book.
Thanks to Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book.
Awesome as always! You are really missing out on a great series with strong characters and excellent stories if you haven't read a Josie Quinn book yet! Can't recommend enough.
Thank you #netgalley and #bookouture for the eARC.
This is the 21st book in the Detective Josie Quinn series and it’s just as good as the first. I normally find that series that have a lot of books tend to lose my interest, but Lisa Reagan’s writing just keeps getting better and better! Josie and team are racing to find a serial killer that is leaving Polaroid photos with each body that depict a scene from the next body drop location. They need to figure out why the victims and locations are being chosen. I love Josie, Noah, Gretchen and the rest of the team. I also love how we get more background into the lives of the characters. I can’t wait for the next book. Highly recommend. Thank you, NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced reader copy and the chance to leave my honest opinion.
4.25 stars
Remember Her Name, the 21st book of the series, starts with a look at Josie when she was a rookie and that prologue scene eventually connects with the current case that Josie and her team are working on. A baby found alone in a park in her stroller is just the beginning of a troubling case in which the killer is leaving clues, taunting them for not being able to stop the next death. It looks like Josie may be the only one who can figure out the puzzle and catch the killer.
What I love about this series is how well Josie, Noah, (her husband and her colleague), and Gretchen work together as a team. In this book, it has now been one year since Detective Kyle Turner has joined the team. He is still frustrating at times, but I'm beginning to see another side of him and look forward to seeing how more of his story unfolds in future books.
This case is both intriguing and chilling since the killer is relentless and for a long time is one step ahead of the detectives. The eventual showdown with the killer is scary and dramatic with an unexpected twist. This is another exciting book in the excellent Josie Quinn series!
I received an advance copy of this ebook at no cost from NetGalley and Bookouture, but my review is voluntary and unbiased.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It’s been a few months so it’s time for Lisa Reagan’s newest foray into the world of Detective Josie Quinn! A baby in a stroller is found in the park abandoned with a bloody Polaroid. Where’s the baby’s mother? What’s the Polaroid mean and where is the location in the picture? This begins a new case for Josie, Noah, Gretchen, and everyone’s least favorite detective, Turner. One Polaroid leads to another as the bodies begin pile up and past connections begin to reveal themselves, but can the team connect all the dots before it’s too late?
Book 21 is here, and while the mystery stays steady at the heart of the book, I’m loving the personal components that the author gives us. Trinity’s sideline is too perfect, and we’re starting to piece together more about our newest detective Turner and why he’s so unlikeable. Turner is also great as a source of humor in this book with his money jars for when he calls a female something other than her name. I laughed more than I have ever in this series while reading this one! While this one definitely builds off previous cases and having a good memory for what happened in those books would be nice, Remember Her Name still holds its own in one of my favorite series!
Thank you @netgalley and @bookouture for an ARC of this book!
You'll never see her coming, but you will Remember Her Name! (Will Turner, though??)
Josie Quinn is back at it! This time, she's hunting a serial killer about twenty years in the making! Josie's first family massacre and the fallout from the crime has haunted her. Now, it's all come back with vengeful consequences. Regan takes us on another incredible journey through Josie's professional and personal lives and Josie is relentless in pursuit of truth and justice.
With Noah at her back (and a few weird assists from Turner) Josie is able to connect the dots to complete a complex picture of love that surprises us all.
And Lisa Regan does it again! How she comes up with these incredible and twisted stories three times a year and is able to throw us readers off course so completely each time, I love it but it makes me wonder about her mind and how she thinks (loving, but seriously)!
These stories and the small town crime rate in Denton, Pennsylvania… why does anyone want to keep living here if Josie and her team are constantly having to solve such terrible, twisted, serial killer cases?
I do love, so much, that Regan is able to create these horrifying cases, though, because I keep eating them up. Just when I think I’ve got everything figured out with the clues she’s dropped, then she brings in humongous twists and relates back to really old cases and book mentions (in this situation it helps if you’ve read the entire series, recently!)… this particular case is extra-sickening and there are so many things thrown in (like an affair, an exchange student, an old name change from someone in an old case, a weird best friend who was never questioned in an old case, problems with missing / mishandled evidence from an old case, the list goes on!), to make us think we know what is truth, only to be side-swiped right through to the last word.
Fantastic job, and I think this is one of the most adrenaline pumping, twisted, and exciting of the series! Certainly in my top favorite ones. Brilliant writing and I highly recommend reading this one. If you’re a big Regan fan like me, if you’re new to her books, or if you just like pulse tingling serial killer detective novels, this is definitely one you cannot miss! I think the only thing that would have been better in this one would be more Gretchen! It was a long one, but I could not put it down - I had to know what happened.
I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Bookouture, and this is my honest feedback.
Nothing can top this series. This is my new FAV book from the series so far. Spoilers ahead* In the opening chapters of Remember Her Name we get a little more background on Josie’s first days as a police officer. The case in the book connects back to a precious case, which makes this book pretty unique. As always, it was so great reading about Trinity and Drake (love them together), the rest of Josie’s family, and the rest of the investigative team. Kyle Turner is actually growing on me and I’m excited to learn more about him.
If you are looking for a good mystery with lots of twists and turns, this is your book! Lisa Regan keeps you interested until the very end. You won’t want to put this book down!
A gory and bloody story. Multiple murders. Some surprises. Not suggested reading while having a snack or meal. I had to take a break and read some light rom com at night before delving back into the mystery. I wanted to keep reading to understand who and what were involved, so I was not about to give up reading it to the end eventually. I just had to pick my moments. LOL! I'm a lightweight, pansy, whatever. I have enjoyed reading several of the books in this series. May get to them all one day. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
It must be hard to come up with a fresh plot when writing book 21 of a series, but Lisa Regan never disappoints! After being called to the scene of an abandoned baby in a park, Detective Josie Quinn and her team realize the mother has been abducted and a blurry Polaroid photo left with the baby is their only clue. Thus begins a series of abductions and Polaroids pointing them to the location of the bodies. While Josie realizes they are all linked, that doesn't help the team identify the killer, or get ahead of them. This is a clever, fast-paced and twisty mystery, and I love the dynamics between the recurring main characters.
Another great addition to this favourite series of mine.
Somehow we are at number 21 in the series and it’s still as fresh as number one.
So many twists in the complex main plot which dovetails into an old case of Josie’s.
Nice developments in the subplot too with the tantalising hints of what is yet to possibly come for Josie and Noah.
An engrossing read you won’t want to put down
Another great Josie Quinn with a lot of flashback-type moments to her other cases! This case, tracking a multiple killer, goes all the way back to Josie’s first case as a rookie cop. I don’t recall that happening in any previous book, at least not in this detail. It seemed appropriate as Josie and Noah move into a new phase of their life. Even her sister, Trinity, has a lot of future to look forward to.
Not to short change us, Lisa Regan has Josie’s entire team on the hunt to track down and capture a killer before he takes another victim. Fueled by lack of sleep and gallons of coffee, they work around the clock. Newest member of the detective team, Turner, is still a thorn in their sides, but is slowly getting a lesson on how to work with the rest of the detectives.
Another great read. Thank you Net Galley and Lisa Regan for a great book!
The silent call from Cleo Tate’s cellphone in the park sends shivers down Detective Josie Quinn’s spine as she rushes to the scene. What she finds is a chilling mystery: a baby, no more than a few months old, abandoned in her stroller. The unsettling discovery doesn't end there; a blood-smeared polaroid lies where the baby had been, thrusting Josie into a whirlwind of questions. Was Cleo abducted or did she flee to protect the infant? As Josie cradles the crying child, the urgency to unravel the truth intensifies.
With each step forward, the investigation plunges deeper into darkness. As more bodies are uncovered, each crime scene is accompanied by a mysterious polaroid, with the locations captured in the photographs taunting Josie. The stakes escalate as Josie realizes she is racing against an unseen clock, her every move shadowed by the killer's game. The discovery of a second victim, eerily linked to a prior case Josie solved, tightens the noose around her. Is she the ultimate target in this macabre puzzle?
A vengeful force lurks in the shadows, determined to spill their story in blood and silence every witness. As Josie delves into her own haunted past, she must outwit a relentless adversary who won't stop until their morbid narrative is complete. With precious lives hanging in the balance, can Josie thwart the killer's plans?

Sooo I have the whole Josie Quinn series and I must say it just keeps getting better and better each time! This time, Josie's past cases come back to haunt her and threaten her family, I really loved this one and the fact that it was really impossible to find the whodunnit. Keep going, we do want more, thank you so much Ms Regan for rewarding us with so many twists and turns, one regret, that it kept me awake at night so it was over too soon! Thanks NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book!
Detective Josie Quinn had always remembered the big case when she was a rooky, fifteen years prior. But the horrific details had faded, until she had cause to remember them again.
The baby was crying in the pram, her mother nowhere to be seen. But the blurry polaroid photo beneath the baby, tinged in blood, gave Josie and her team cause to believe it would lead to the baby's mother. And so it did. With another polaroid with that victim, Josie, Noah, Gretchen and Turner knew without doubt they had a serial killer on their hands. As the team desperately followed the photos, taking too long to discover each location, they worked hard to find what it all related to. It seemed the killer was playing a game with Josie, and she felt she was always one step behind. Would she discover the killer and the motive before more people died? And was she on the deadly list only a madman could follow?
Remember Her Name is #21 in the Detective Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan and it's an outstanding ride, filled with tension, chilling details and heartfelt moments. I loved this episode, and feel it's one of Lisa Regan's very best. Bring on #22! Highly recommended.
With thanks to NetGalley & Bookouture for my digital ARC to read and review.
Honestly, I had some trouble keeping all the characters straight, but the nonstop action had me hooked from the first page to the last (which I stayed up late to finish, I hasten to add). After reading many of the books in this series - this is the 21st - I'm at least very familiar with rural Denton, Pennsylvania Detective Josie Quinn (and more recently, her husband and co-worker, Lt. Noah Fraley, her twin sister Trinity Payne and co-worker pal Detective Gretchen Palmer).
Just off a disturbing case, Josie is reluctant to throw herself back into the investigative fray. But there's no choice; she's called to a puzzling scene with an infant girl wailing in a stroller and no parent or caretaker in sight. There is, notably, a Polaroid shot of an unknown body of water - a photo with blood on the corner. Shortly, the baby's father comes to collect her - with no clear alibi, he becomes a suspect.
The case remains puzzling, but that provides time for readers to get to know the newest team member - a rather reprehensible dude named Kyle Turner, who's replacing an officer killed in that disturbing case mentioned earlier. No one seems to like him much (count me among those astute characters). But then, something about the photo triggers Josie's memory, and she heads to a place familiar to her from another investigation with fingers crossed every mile of the way. Alas, she's too late; she finds the baby's mother dead, another Polaroid of an unidentified scene and confirmation that a serial killer is running rampant.
But why? And who? And most important, can Josie and her team find all that out before the killer strikes again? Sorry, but I won't tell; you'll just have to read the book for yourself. It's a good one - and I'm ready for the next. Many thanks to the publisher, via NetGalley, for once again allowing me to read and review a pre-release copy.
Twenty-one books in and each book and case feels new and completely different from any we've read before. While each book can be read as a standalone, I think to get all of the backstories and really be able to feel the emotional turmoil you need to start from the beginning of the series.
Josie and the crew still dealing with the death of Mettner and the new hire Turner, who no one likes. Not just for the reason of being a replacement for someone they cared about, but he's kind of a tool. This case is emotional not only because a mother was taken and a baby left alone in a park, it's bringing back memories for Josie ones that she thought long buried.
As always I love watching the wheels turn in Josie's head as she dives into a case. Especially when she feels like she knows the answers. I love the dynamics between Josie and her husband Noah, and Josie and the other detectives she works with.. Except for Turner they are all friends and are there for each other in the hard moments. Although the new interactions with Turner I did find funny a lot of the time.
The case is heavy, with lots of twists and turns and diving into Josie's past. I love how the story and Josie and Noah's life is moving forward! The story kept me enthralled from the beginning, and I can't wait to see what Josie and the team are going to be in the middle of next!
Let me preface my review by saying that I started reading this series at book 14. That being said, this is one of my favorite books in this series. In addition to the mystery of the serial killer we get a little more of a glimpse into the personal lives of Josie and Nate, and the evolving dynamics of their work team. There was plenty of suspense as they had to determine the location in the polaroid photos so they could hopefully save a live while at the same time trying to figure out what tied the murders together. And even then, the motive wasn't very clear.
This story will have you on the edge of your seat trying to guess what will happen next and the reason for all the killings. And dare I say it - the new guy, Detective Turner, is really starting to grow on me and I can't wait to find out his back story.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Lisa Regan has written another masterpiece in the 21st book of the Josie Quinn series, Remember Her Name.
A baby is abandoned in a park after her mother is abducted. In comes Josie Quinn to find the answers to the vicious crime, which leads her to more.
Lisa Regan does a great job of tying the previous books of this series together. The character development is amazing as always. I feel like Josie and I are friends, Noah is my book crush, and Tucker is growing me.
I highly recommend Remember Her Name and the whole Josie Quinn series. Another book I couldn't put down! A strong 5 stars!
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this book, which releases September 17, 2024!
This is the latest in the Detective Josie Quinn series. In this story, Josie must follow clues from the past to uncover the serial killer in her town. Along the way, she will find answers to a long ago case. This was a good one!
