I’ve enjoyed the previous 2 “Sally’s Puppy Adventures” with my kid, so I was pleased to again be chosen for a review copy of this third installment.

This time. There’s dogs in booties. And coats. EEE! <3 Not just Sally, but all her friends from the previous books. I like that each coat is a different style, with a different color/pattern. It gives some good visual interest to pages that have a lot of white.

But the white is the snow, not blank space! Larsen does full-page art, while still doing a great job of getting the text to stand out. Admittedly, that’s easier when it’s black-on-snow-white! But even the snow has texture and form. There’s snow packed-down near paths, and fluffed up where it lay undisturbed. Snow falling and dogs made of snow.

This is a sweet little book that’s great for a non-holiday read. A sure pick if your kid liked the previous Sally books, and a must-buy for public libraries.

A very simple book of a child and their dog. It’s a great book for toddlers and it was fun seeing all the different kinds of dogs in the snow.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own

I think seeing dogs in boots and coats is my favorite part of winter. Sally is the star of entertaining story about her snow day. I enjoyed the illustrations although I'm pretty sure one snow dogs was a cat.

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.

What a lovely ode to snow days and winter wear. Sally has to wear a coat and boots to explore the park on this snow day where everyone is making snowdogs instead of snowmen.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest review.

A cute, short and simple story for smaller kids about a boy and his dog, getting ready to go out in the snow and having a fun day playing in it.

I loved how it showed the diversity of all the different looking dogs.

The illustrations were a little rough but cute and detailed.

A really cute and fun book, perfect for the upcoming colder days!

This book had the cutest art work ever! Very unique, colorful, and fun - which should draw in the intended audience of young kids. I love the artist's attention to details in each scene, as it's enjoyable to pick out different pieces. The storyline is very adorable while giving a good (but subtle) message to kids that everyone is different, but that's a good thing!

A perfectly pleasant early reader – and I mean very early – showing a dog and her human having a good time in the snow in the park. Friendships are made, snow angels are created, and balls of snow are packed and tidied up into certain, specific shapes. The art is a bit rough and ready in style for my taste, but suits the young audience, and the whole passes the time well with the intrigue of what the snow is being made into.

A cute and simple story that toddlers will likely enjoy and parents will not mind reading countless times.

Having experienced my own dogs' snow days, I was naturally drawn to this book. My Florida dogs that moved here to Alaska with me were a hoot, let's just say. For those unaware, just getting those booties on their feet can be a workout in itself. I'll spare you the hard won information I have on how to select or make booties on your own. Grin.

In any case, reading about how Sally had to be properly dressed to go outdoors in the cold was cute. It should be a nice way to segue into making reluctant humans less resistant to the process. While not all dogs need booties and coats for the cold, we mere humans definitely do need protection unless we want to turn into human icicles. The artwork is fun and colorful, its simple style appealing to the target audience of ages 3-5, I'm sure. Enough detail to make it interesting without overwhelming. While the text is sparse, it's designed for that young audience and tells the story well. The author even manages to get in some subtle counting practice as well as science, ie regarding snowflakes. Cute idea, too, about building the snowdogs. I guess the author didn't feel the age-old caution about avoiding the yellow snow didn't fit with a kids' book, huh?

Bottom line, a nicely done, cute story that even showcases the diversity of how the dogs look with all their different looks and outfits. Little ones should enjoy this story and it even brought a smile to my face. Thanks #OrcaBookPublishers for reminding me what fun those first few snow days can be with our furry friends with this early peek. My Daisy enjoys her walks in the snow, that's for sure.

Such a cute book!

Sally is such a cute dog who’s going to the park on a snowy day. The way she’s enjoying gives all the energy and excitement to the one who’s reading about it!

The illustrations could be a little better considering the age range who’s going to read along.

Thank you, Orca Book Publishers, for the ARC.

Short and simple story. Not much of a plot, but does a great job demonstrating how to get ready to go outside in cold weather. Cute illustrations!

A fun tale following Sally as they get ready to go out in the snow. This could be used as a learning tool on the importance of getting ready to go out in the snow.

The illustrations throughout are charming and add a bit of depth to the story.

Didn’t realise this was part of a series so we’ll definitely need to go back and read those that were released previously.

A short and simple book with cute illustrations which show the bond between dog and owner and the fun that you can have playing outside in the snow. Effective in teaching a child about getting dressed for the cold weather but not much of a storyline.
Thank you to NetGalley/the publisher/author for this eARC.

Sally’s Snow Day is all about a dog getting ready to go play in the snow. The story was okay, but not really engaging for my 5 year old. The illustrations were cute and appropriate for the story. This book is quick and easy to read. The illustrations are cute and happy. It may help kids to put on their snows clothes with less complaints. But it's a very subtle message.

I think this would be the perfect book for a dog lover to give their child for Christmas as a combo present. The story that follows the pup when it goes to the park is adorable.

The artwork was very good and clear. The story was easy to understand for a young child and to follow along. I loved that they build snow dogs.
