"Out of the Darkness and Other Animal Tails: Lessons in Compassion and Healing from the Animal World" is probably the most unusual book I've ever read!

When I read the description: "an incredible journey into the interconnected world of humans, animals, and nature where bonds transcend species and communication goes beyond words" I didn't expect something quite so literal. The book is heavy on Shamanism and Reiki, which I was unfamiliar with. (I just realized the name of the publisher is Wild Reiki and Shamanic Healing LLC, so I was really not paying attention!)

For what it's worth, my favorite story was the one about the cat, which I believe is the one depicted on the cover.

I'm rating the book four stars because it's well-written and it's not the author's fault I misread what the book was about. Although Out of Darkness wasn't for me, I believe that people who are interested in #Shamanism and #Reiki will love it!!
