Ah! I love Patterson books! They always keep me on the edge of my seat and this one did not disappoint! Absolutely 5 stars!
James Patterson continues to find great people to collaborate with. Andrew Bourelle seems to be another great find.
Texas Ranger Rory Yates protects his home state wearing a five-pointed silver badge and carrying a Sig Sauer. He is committed to helping people whoever they are. When a native woman disappears on the tribe's summer solstice, clues point to a cold case. Yates, a quick-draw champion, partners with expert archer Ava Cruz of the Tigua Tribal police. Together the two of them along with another Texas Ranger work together to solve this case. There are twists and turns that show the horrible side of human trafficing. I really liked this story.
This is the third book in the "Rory Yates" series, as the Texas Ranger broadens his work area and goes outside of Texas to help find missing native American women. At the same time, he finds himself attracted to two women - a bar owner in a distant town and a neighbor whom he knew long ago as a young girl but who has grown up. Professionally, Rory continues to work hard and make a name for himself, although he continues to challenge authority. Personally, he cannot seem to get his love life together. Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for providing an ARC.
This the the third and newest book in the Texas Ranger series. Rory Yates is a Texas Ranger who gets involve with the cases of missing Native American women. As he digs deeper in to the cases, it becomes clear that there are two separate crimes happening. With the help of the FBI, fellow Rangers, and the local tribal police, the cases begin to unravel. But will it be in time to save any of the women?
This fast paced, action packed mystery thriller is one that Patterson fans will not want to miss. It serves well as a stand alone if you haven’t read the other books in this series. It was interesting to watch as the relationships build between Rory and his crime fighting colleagues. Will he earn their respect or continue to have a tumultuous relationship detrimental to the case? Then of course you have the love interests. Will Rory pick the new girlfriend, Megan, or return to his ex, Willow?
Altogether an interesting quick easy read that definitely measures up to your expectations from a Patterson novel.
I really enjoyed the latest in this Texas Ranger series. Good plot line with suspense and didn't figure out 1 of the cases involved. Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy. #TexasMurders #NetGalley
