I wasn’t too sure what to expect from this book, I liked the premise of it but there were a couple things that I wish were buttoned up a little bit better but overall I enjoyed this horror/thriller and will most likely check out some more titles from this author!

April wants into her sister’s house and finds her dead brother-in-law Roy. Auggie convinces April to help her dispose of the body in an old cemetery. Someone sees them bury the body. As the investigation continues, the sisters don’t know who to trust, including each other.

You get a deeper drive into the sister’s relationship as the reader is thrust back to the past throughout the book. These flashbacks are strategically placed to keep the suspense high. The ending reminded me of another book I read, so I was able to figure out what the twist would be.

Thank you to Jenna Moquin, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed most of this book. I did feel like April repeated her inner thought quite a bit. Like her growing feelings for Benny. She almost can off too childish for me. I did enjoy the sisters relationship, I found it relatable. I liked the ending.

The Cemetery Spot by Jenna Moquin is such a wild ride! The tension between the sisters and the constant feeling that their secret could be exposed at any moment makes it impossible to put down.

This one definitely had me fooled for most of the book... I did feel there were some loose ends that I'm still puzzled about. But it was a good story!

I received this book via NetGalley but opinions are my own. This is the second book by this author as I read Stalks earlier this year. This book had me wanting to know what happened next, starting from the first page, all the way to the end.
April and August have an interesting relationship, but I think this book shows how far someone may be willing to go for someone they love.
One thing that left me a bit frustrated was that one of the characters didn’t end up telling the truth about what really happened. I feel that they didn’t really have anything to lose per se, so it would make sense to have that person tell as kind of a payback.

It's not the first time that Augie has murdered someone, nor the first time that her sister, Ape, has helped her to dispose of the body and cover it up!
When Augie starts to act strangely and lie to her. Ape is worried and revisits 'the cemetary spot' only to find that the body is no longer where they left it...
Narrated mainly by the two sisters, this was a slow burner for me with a rush of adrenaline towards the end. If you like crime novels then you will enjoy this one.

This book was fabulous! It kept me guessing from the beginning and I definitely did not expect the big twist. I don’t have a lot of time to sit down and read. I typically listen to audiobooks. This book made me want to curl up with my kindle and read. Looking forward to reading more of Jenna’s books!

How far would one woman go to keep her sister safe? Auggie snaps and kills her abusive husband, Roy and convinces her sister to help her bury his body. Auggie has always had April's back and now it's time for her to repay the favor. When someone threatens to unearth their secret, it leaves April wondering how well she really knows her sister.

Delightfully twisted, with a plot that will keep you guessing. Classic thriller with an ending that will make you gasp at its cleverness.

Thank you #NetGalley for this ARC of #TheCemeterySpot by Jenna Moquin

Overall it was a good read, but I felt it became too repetitive over time and it seemed too long. Also, I couldn't get behind how Auggie was acting sometimes. It felt too weird. Though I guess you would be too if your husband has died and you have to figure out what to do. Yet, it just seemed to be too weird overall with her actions. I did like the twist that came about towards the end so I did not even see that coming even though a lot of people mentioned they did.
I did wonder about Eugune and what he was seeing and hearing. The ending had me having a lot of questions and I had to reread that about twice to fully understand it.
At times I felt it was rushed or I wondered where this idea came from as there were no signs or anything that would suggest that the brothers were involved in anything illegal. The neighbor Mary seemed weird as well. I think the author could have cleaned some areas up a bit, but other than that it was a read that I may read something by this author again to give her another try.

Wow... talk about a roller coaster ride!

The Cemetery Spot starts out with a bang and then spirals into twists and turns that keep you guessing until the very end. I loved the writing style and the fast-paced flow of the story. This was my first Jenna Moquin book, and it definitely won't be my last.

This book is perfect for all the Freida Mcfadden fans.

I received an ARC on NetGalley after seeing a recommendation for this book & author from Freida McFadden.
This was a fun and easy read! I loved the twist at the end and the further twist in the epilogue!

The writing style reminded me a bit of Freida McFadden, and while some parts seemed a little satirical, I enjoyed the plot. There were a few times that the book was a bit slower and parts seemed unnecessary, but without giving anything away, I’m glad I kept reading, since there were some unexpected twists!

I had a little jaw drop on the last page and that’s always something I hope for when reading!

I recommend this read!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

I was really interested in reading this one based on the premise. I thought it would have more horror elements than it did, but it read as more of a thriller than anything else. The premise was interesting, and the family dynamics were certainly interesting as the story took twists and explored the relationships that played out.

I did think the plot had a lot of potential too, but unfortunately it wasn't quite what I had hoped, and it did end up a little convoluted which I was disappointed with.

I found the end of the book wrapped up really quickly and didn't really go where I would have expected. While I guessed the twist, the ending felt a little rushed, so that was a bit disappointing. I also found that there were some parts of this book that felt really repetitive, which didn't gel well with me. I didn't find that I connected well with the main characters either, so that was a shame - there was the definite suggestion that they deserved to be rooted for, but I just didn't get a huge sense of follow-through.
