I love NetGalley just because it introduces me to these kind of books. This was a ride and I loved every second of it. Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for a free e-arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was originally very intrigued by the cover and description. I did like that this book was told by diary entries. I wish that they were a bit longer, they fell a bit short. I also thought they would be more erotic but they really weren’t. I think this book would have been better if the entries were longer and more kinky.

The cover and title hooked me right away and the writing did everything it said it was. Steamy, sensual, full of passion, but I felt like I wanted more, especially a more in-depth look at these moments explored within the text. A good short collection just wished there was more and some of the short poems I felt could have been expanded, overall a really solid and small collection.

Thank you NetGalley, Baroque Medusa, Bookbuzz.net and Alien Buddha Press for the advanced reader copy in exchange for the honest review. All thoughts are my own.

I approached this book expecting sensuality and references to primal/predator kink themes. Apart from some cliche references to genitalia, little was "erotic" and I found no reason for someone to find it sexy or appealing. The phrasing was often awkward or abrupt, disturbing the little flow that was present. I would never recommend this to erotica readers I've encountered because they'd return wanting their money back. A Dominant in the BDSM community might enjoy this but those are fairly rare and don't often identify themselves in public so finding one to whom I'd recommend this is highly unlikely. I appreciate the subject matter for the insight that it gives into the experiences of someone in the prey role but there must be better ways of going about it than this.

Animals on a Carousel by Baroque Medusa is a raw and evocative collection of diary entries that seamlessly blends erotica and poetry. Over the past year, Medusa has crafted a series of intimate and vivid pieces, each one a window into her passionate encounters. I was amazed by the depth and authenticity of her writing, which made me feel like a voyeur into a beautifully complex world. It’s an unfiltered exploration of love and desire that I thoroughly enjoyed.

If you're into bold, in-your-face erotica poetry that reads like an exclusive peek behind the curtain, this book is your new obsession. Medusa’s fearless storytelling and steamy verses had me hooked from start to finish. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions and desire that’s not to be missed! 🚀📚

This is a collection of erotic poetry unfortunately I didn't really enjoy this i didn't really think any of the poems were very erotic and I felt this could've been a little bit longer. I did enjoy the illustrations dotted throughout though just unfortunately missed the mark for me but I feel others will really enjoy this.

This collection of short erotica was not quite what I expected. The poems where really short and to the point. I really enjoyed the visual pictures that were included between the poems.

Thank you NetGalley and Alien Budda Press for this advance reading copy
