To start with, I have already pre-ordered the next book in the series. This story felt based in realism. Yes, this sort of thing could happen. I am sure that most footballers could walk past me and I wouldn't recognise them. Even the famous ones. There were so many delightful small touches in this book like both the MC's wearing fake moustaches, that really made this a lovely story to read. I would have liked more about the FMC navigating the world of WAGs and being famous. Maybe that will be touched on in the next book or later in the series. Maybe a little more sports would have been good too. At times it felt a little rushed but I still really enjoyed this.

Big thanks to NetGalley, Montlake and Sara Ney for a copy of this book. This is my honest review

This book was so funny and cute! Harlow and Andy are the perfect example of you never know who you will fall in love with. That sometimes meeting a stranger at a food truck turns in to the best business trip of your life. This story has it all! I loved it so much especially their banter and how it all ends.

Thank you so much to Netgalley & Montlake for this e-ARC.

Not Your Biggest Fan takes you on a spectacular rollercoaster of action, laughter, and joy as you see their relationship grow. And seeing how far Andy goes to win her. He is thinking about the future as he falls first, hard. However, she is cautious of relationships, particularly those that are long-distance, and what will happen when she eventually learns his true identity. It featured every romantic plot point you could possibly want, and more. Sara Ney, the author, is now on my auto-buy list.

This was such a delightful and effortlessly enjoyable read! I absolutely loved the chemistry between the characters, and their banter had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. The way they played off each other was just so much fun. I'm a huge fan of Sara's writing, and I'm already looking forward to whatever she comes out with next!

A fun read. I liked both characters and that it was told from both points of view. Looking forward to more from this author.

Sara Ney delivered in this sports romance. She is a comfort author, who provided exactly what I expect of her books in the best of ways. I loved this book and highlight recommend everyone to pick it up.

I hate that the heroine's name is Harlow James. It was mostly very basic, and rushed. The side characters were a lot more interesting. I didn't think the MMC or FMC were very smart. It was easy, and entertaining enough that I will visit the next in the series, but definitely not the best.

As my first Sara Ney book, I’m not sure I’ll read more from this author. Your Biggest Fan was a tough story to connect to. It felt like an insta-lust where the two characters had little connection or chemistry and was filled with tropes just to fit them in and not in benefit of the story, I caught myself rolling my eyes more often than laughing. The premise started strong, but the overall execution of the storyline felt stunted. HEA not guaranteed with this one... sorry folks.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the opportunity to read this digital ARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

Oh my gosh, this book was so good. Everything about it was intriguing, charming, entertaining. I had never read anything by author Sara Ney before but I will most certainly be coming back for more.

Not Your Biggest Fan starts out with a bang and just never lets up. I read it straight through because I could not wait to see what would happen next. Harlow and Andy’s encounters are hilarious, touching, sad, serious – and hot, hot, hot. They are MFEO (meant for each other) but they have to get through a little hidden identify and foot-dragging first.

Harlow James is an app designer, and she’s in New York City to secure advertisers for Kissmet, her dating app that’s going to take the singles world by storm. She’s talented, confident and unique. And while she’s a small-town girl, there nothing small about her mouth or attitude. They’re big. And she doesn’t hesitate to jump in and voice her opinion – warning, actually – when the big, buff, hot guy in the food truck line in front of her is about to order food she knows from personal experience will make him sick. Sick like he’ll wish he was dead.

Landon “Andy” Burke is a superstar NFL free agent in NYC to talk about contracts. He’s trying to stay under fan radar and is wearing a disguise that is probably more hilarious than effective, but since Harlow knows nothing about football and couldn’t care less, he’s nothing to her but stubborn-guy-about-to-eat-that-bad-bad-bad-chicken. They banter a bit, he’s not about to take her advice but she is a hottie herself and he notices, and they make a little dinner wager over what will happen if he actually eats that chicken.

Guess who wins that bet? They never exchanged names or numbers and don’t expect to cross paths again. NYC is a big city, right? But sometimes things happen, like they’re somehow staying in the same hotel, which becomes obvious as she’s about to exit the elevator and the now sweaty, retching guy from the food truck line is trying desperately to get upstairs to his room before it’s too late. Looks like he owes her dinner.

From that point on the story is non-stop charm and laughter, with a little serious thrown in. He introduces himself as Andy and is vague about his job. Instead of dinner they do a day sightseeing and a connection starts to form. They’re attracted to each other and what’s the harm? She’ll go back home to Green Bay and he’ll go wherever it is he’s going. Except he doesn’t want this connection to be broken. He’s never felt like this. She’s so open, so honest, so refreshing – and the fact that she doesn’t know who he is is wonderful. Except she’ll find out someday if they do meet again and keeping secrets never really works out well, does it?

Not Your Biggest Fan is a wild ride of action and fun and joy from watching their relationship grow. And watching the lengths Andy goes to to try and win her. He falls first, hard and is thinking of a future. But she’s wary about relationships, especially long-distance, and what’s going to happen when she inevitably finds out who he really is? I’m not going to tell you; it will be too much fun finding out for yourself. I received an advance copy of Not Your Biggest Fan and absolutely loved it and recommend it without hesitation. It had everything you could want in a love story – and more. Author Sara Ney has moved to my auto-buy list. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.

This was an entertaining & fun read. Harlow & Andy have the funniest meet cute. Well funny to us reading it, but not funny to Andy, iykyk. They're strangers who meet in Central Park. Harlow is in NY on business, same as Andy, after their meet cute they find out they're also staying at the same hotel. Fun ensues but he's keeping a secret. He falls first & hard & he literally shows up on her doorstep because he can't get himself to stay away from her. It's natural when they're together & even tho he's a paparazzi magnet, she's his...if she'll have him.

Harlow is striving to get a startup off the ground, Andy trying to find himself a team (he's a quarterback, hence the paparazzi), he's in between "gigs". Her set of friends are cute & supportive & Andy has himself his own BFF who is so funny. Harlow's dad is a handful but hilarious all the same.

A cute enjoyable rom com.

NOT YOUR BIGGEST FAN is the newest novel by Sara Ney. This is a new adult, opposites attract, sports (football) romcom about a small town girl and a professional athlete who met when they were both in NYC for work. Harlow James warned Landon “Andy” Burke not to eat the undercooked chicken from a street vendor, but he didn’t heed her warning. In a strange twist of fate, they ran into each other again in the hotel elevator, where it was obvious that he had indeed contracted food poisoning. After he recovered, Andy took Harlow on a sightseeing tour of the city for losing their wager about the chicken, and they spent an unforgettable night together. Harlow never expected to see Andy again, but he couldn’t forget the girl who had no idea who he was. Would he make the biggest decision about his professional future in order to live close to a young woman he had known for less than 72 hours? This is a cute, sexy story that was fun from beginning to end. I loved all the little quirks, the sassy dialog, and the smoking hot chemistry between the main characters. Secondary characters such as Harlow’s friends and father and Andy’s best friend added depth and additional comic relief to a pretty amusing story. Of course, I am always here for a story where he falls first! If you are looking for a light, fun sports romcom, then you should definitely check out this one. It will curl your toes! This book is available for free with the kindleunlimited subscription.

The primary trope here is secret identity, for sure. And it is played on for like 70% of the book! I was a bit surprised that the big reveal just… happened. And with minimal drama. Harlow and Andy are cute together - I just felt something missing that made me really connect with their relationship.

"Not Your Biggest Fan" by Sara Ney blends witty banter with sizzling chemistry in this delightful romantic comedy. Harlow, the sharp-witted creator of the dating app Kissmet, is a force to be reckoned with. Her meddling tendencies, though, lead to an unexpected encounter with NFL star Landon "Andy" Burke. Their initial clash sets the stage for a whirlwind romance filled with playful wagers, passionate encounters, and a healthy dose of small-town charm.
This book is a captivating read with engaging characters and a heartwarming story. Harlow's sassy personality and Andy's gruff exterior create a dynamic that will undoubtedly keep readers hooked. The contrast between the bustling city and Harlow's peaceful hometown adds another layer of intrigue to the narrative.

I loved the chemistry between Harlow and Andy. I especially loved the fact that she was into him before she knew who he was. This book was witty and had me laughing out loud more than once, especially after the food cart scene. I really hope to see more from Ney soon

Not Your Biggest Fan by Sara Ney
Not Yours series #1. Contemporary romantic comedy.
Harlow James is behind a man at her favorite food truck in New York when she hears him order chicken. She can’t let him do it. The last time she had chicken from a food truck, she was, well, she regretted it. She tried to warn the muscular stranger, but he just shrugs her off. He’s sure he’ll be fine. When she runs into him at her hotel a few hours later, he’s not fine. He’s been sick and is desperately running for his room. She jokingly mocks him and says just call room 905 when you’re ready for dinner.
Landon “Andy” Burke is an NFL free agent in New York to talk contracts. He figured no one would notice him in a hat and sunglasses and when the woman in the park warned him against the chicken, he figured she was just hitting on him. When he’s feeling better, he asks her out for a day of sightseeing. Of course he’s in disguise with a fake mustache and all, which she laughs at, and then plays along with her own fake mustache. He’s delighted she doesn’t know who he is and they extend their day into nighttime activities.
Harlow leaves the next day for Green Bay, Wisconsin, to her corgi and her goofy dad. She figures it was just a night one thing. Ad adventure in New York. Andy doesn’t feel the same way. He asks for her number and follows up. He wants more.

A sexy romance filled with laughter, friends, attraction, and career. Andy feels free to be himself with Harlow and they form a connection he can’t ignore. It’s sweet, it steamy and adorable.
This was my first read of this author and I love the lighthearted romance. I can’t wait to read her again.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley.

Harlow and Andy meet at a chance encounter in New York and start a whirlwind romance that surprises even them. Little does she know he's hiding a massive secret about who he is and what he does for a living.

*****

This did not work at all. I think the attempt was for cute and flirty banter. However, it missed the mark big time. The dialogue was stilted and cringy, the inner monologues were immature and awkward. The side characters were rude and annoying, and there was no chemistry to speak of between the leads. There was so much texting and side convos to fill the book, yet the whole book and build-up between the two characters only spanned a single week.

One week. Two days together. Then we get a half-hearted conflict that's immediately resolved, and a couple of months' time jump before a secondary characters POV as an epilogue.

It was odd, disjointed, and didn't feel like a properly thought-out book. Instead, it felt like a rush job. I wouldn't recommend this one, as I'm honestly not sure what the intent was behind the entire plot.

Usually, I adore this authors work, so don't let this review stop you from reading her other books. This one is just a miss.

Not Your Biggest Fan was way more fun than I expected! I really liked the direction Sara Ney took Andy & Harlow's love story, the plot twists I wasn't expecting, and that really interesting twist that Harlow having no idea who Andy is.

Harlow is a very peculiar and charming girl: I love that she ALWAYS says what she thinks, especially in that first meeting with Andy, I really liked reading her perspective on love and relationships because this girl is the creator of a dating app and that part of her plot was very interesting, although I would have really liked to read a little more of that in the book because at the end of the day that's the reason for her visit to NY. It was also interesting to read his conflict regarding his relationship with his dad - there were times when I hated Steve a little, but I could also empathize with his situation and the reason behind his intense personality.

Andy is a professional football player who is trying to decide the next step in his career, he is a charming man who stole my heart from the beginning, and I have to say that he was my favorite in the book. I really liked his simple personality, how silly he can be and that flirtatious & slightly cocky side that always appears when he is with Harlow, another thing that I loved about his character was that part of Andy that wants to experience life as an ordinary person, without the pressure of being a celebrity and with the security that the people around him are with him for who he is and not for his fame. Like Harlow, Andy has a very particular relationship with his family that I didn't like at first, BUT I really enjoyed that decisive conversation for him in which he opens up about all the pressure he has to meet his parents' expectations and how they feel about it.

Harlow & Andy meet in New York in a very original and fun way that leads them to spend a whole day together in which our main characters share interesting, sweet and very tender moments, and one of the things I loved most about this couple was reading Andy desperate to maintain that connection with Harlow and willing to do ANYTHING to have her in his life. Another aspect that gives a special touch to the plot is that Harlow has VERY established feelings and beliefs about professional athletes, especially football players, which is why she knows nothing about the subject, doesn't watch sports on TV and has no idea who Andy is when she meets him.

I always know I'm in for a hilarious good time when I dive into a Sara Ney book, and Harlow and Andy's story was great from the meet-cute to the HEA. I loved how sassy and fun Harlow is (her conversations with her friends are so funny!) and Andy was a perfect balance of a strong, yet sweet man. Their antics were a delight- the mustaches had me cackling for sure. Harlow's dad Big Steve was a hoot. I really loved that there was no real third act break-up type drama. This was such a fun book!
