My first introduction to Sara Ney was the How to Date a Douchebag series. And I feel like its been a long time since I’ve read a football romance. So a combination of her wit and sports romance was a refreshing. Harlow and Landon’s meet cute is one of the most diabolical I’ve ever read. First she admonishes him for his choice of street vendor food and then they run into each other again when he is in….gastrointestinal distress. LOL OMG the amount of times I was giggling while reading; I lost count.
As Landon, a pro-footballer out as a free agent for contract, is shocked at the fact that Harlow has literally NO CLUE who he is. He’s just another dude to her. She’s unapologetically herself and it felt like Landon could relax around her. When they go their separate ways, the long-distance texting allowed them to break down further barriers before Landon eventually gives in and shows up at her door.
A pretty straight-forward romance, there isn’t some drastic breakup or conniving ex or something dramatic that comes into play. This is an easy sports romance read with a splash of spice and silly. I feel this series could be a nice “feel-good” series for classic new romance readers.

This is my first book of Sara’s to read but it won’t be my last. OMG I laughed so much. The characters, not just Harlow and Andy, but all the characters were so much fun. And the banter between Harlow and Andy was a hoot.
Being from the Green Bay Area love how she talked about it. And yes even though it is a large city for this area of WI it is the smallest of the NFL cities and is considered small Midwest town by some folks.
But back to the book. Just have fun with this read and yup it’s got plenty of ❤️🔥 too. Enjoy

First in a new series from an established author who I have not read before. In a funny meet-cute Harlow James meets Andy in a food truck line at a park. The pair happen to be staying at the same hotel. The pair end up spending a day sightseeing in the Big Apple and share a hot night. They have sparkling banter but the biggest draw for Andy is that she doesn’t recognize him. He is a football star complete with three Super Bowl rings. He is in commercials and on the covers of magazines.
When he can’t get her out of his head he decides to visit her in her hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin. First, yay for not having a cartoon cover. Things I liked include he’s smitten first, her busybody father, the texts between the pair. I was less fond of how rushed everything feels. The whole book takes place in less than a week and with a quick time jump for an epilogue. And while I liked the banter I didn’t love the dialogue or inner thoughts. It made me cringe. Andy also comes off arrogant when he doesn’t see a downside for her for dating him.
This is a fun book and at less than 300 pages it can be read quickly. But it didn’t make me want to seek out other books the author has written. The story is complete but it does set up the person to be the lead in the next book in the Not Yours series.

2⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for an advanced copy of Not Your Biggest Fan.
Harlow is trying to get her dating app off the ground and while in New York she meets a guy named Andy. After an awkward first meeting they spend the day together and she thinks she will never see him again. He actually reaches out and they text and talk until one day he shows up at her house. But he has been keeping his identity a secret from her.
This is your run of the mill sports romance books. I will say that this one moved very fast for me. The relationship went from meeting to serious relationship in a couple of chapters.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own.
DNF the first few chapters were fun and appealing, but once they started to get to know each other the writing came off a little too YA for me.

Loved it

This was really such a cute, quick read. This was my first Sara Ney and I love finding new to me authors.
Andy I think is the reason this wasn't a 5-star book for me. He's adorable enough, he's sweet enough, he's just kind of...enough, but at the same time, he is a little OTT for me. He's choosing between NY and some other city for his next team since he's a free agent and then after 1 chance encounter and 1 fun/sexy day with a random woman he's now thinking about changing everything and playing for her team on the off-chance that she wants more from him? I know they kinda talked about it, but it was always hypothetical because he never told her who he was so she was making decisions about what she's willing/not willing to do based on skewed information.
Him trying hard not to lie to her without blowing his cover was fun. "No, I can absolutely promise that I do not spend every weekend at home watching football." I did chuckle a lot. Their food truck meet cute was hilarious and had me cackling at times.
I spent most of the book wanting to hug Harlow and tell her everything will be okay. She's so quirky and adorable and her dad honestly reminded me a little bit of my mom so I related to her. Also, once she finds out who Andy really is, the emotions she goes through and the conversation they have about what a relationship with them would look like, seemed most true to life than other sports romances (not that there is a true to life example I'm familiar with lol).
All in all I loved the book, but was hoping for something a little more. Thank you, Sara Ney and The Author Agency for the ARC.

What a fun novel to read! I have read other novels by this author and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I was so excited to jump into this novel and was not disappointed. From the first chapter this novel pulled me into the novel and captured my attention until the very last page. Once I started reading l didn't want to put this novel down. I needed to know what was coming next. Loved it! It was so much fun to read. I love when a novel can make me laugh out loud. I loved Andy and Harlow's story. I loved their chemistry. I loved watching them find each other and fall in love. I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next.

Not Your Biggest Fan was the funniest sports romance that I've ever read and my first Sara Ney book and it won't be the last. Oh my , loved the witty banter and the hilarious friends chats, the sarcastic remarks and all those truth moments. Harlow and Andy were so real and true to themselves and to each other. And I loved how her friends and her father were all up in her business, even her dog . It was pretty comical trying to figure things out with all the meddling. But somehow they managed to have a great first date after their strange first meet cute. Harlow assumed wrong about Andy and that was a reason for quite a few misunderstandings and fun moments. Loved it that Andy went for what he wanted and convinced Harlow to give him and their relationship a chance. Loved it that he managed to turn his life around and go after what his heart desired. Harlow was smart and witty and that's how she won over Andy. There was some minor drama that only helped them work all the issues between them. The last chapter was the perfect ending to their story. And if the epilogue is one big hint for the next book in the Not Yours series then I can't wait to see what Dex got himself into.
Thanks to the author, The Author Agency and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book.

This was quite a fun and easy read. There were some cute bits and some steamy ones, and I thought both of the main characters were likable.
As a whole though it didn’t really work for me. The pacing was really fast and I didn’t entirely buy the speed of the relationship, even with an instalove element. The execution just felt a bit superficial and I just didn’t really make a connection with either character. I also found the role of Harlow’s dad really off-putting; he was clearly meant to be comic relief but I found him very annoying.
Overall this book did have some really fun moments, but it really wasn’t for me. Still, I would recommend it if you’re looking for something light and humorous. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a free copy of this book.
Content Notes: Vomiting, diarrhea, food poisoning, death of a parent (in past), on-page sex, oral sex.

Not your Biggest Fan is a story that will cause you to have a big smile on your face as it did mine. This book is just beautiful! It is refreshing and quite the entertaining read, especially how Andy and Harlow meet. Harlow is a genuine, down to earth, tell it like it is, sassy woman, who has no idea who Andy is.
I devoured their book. It’s a fabulous meet cute story. I found myself invested in their journey and honestly didnt want to go back to every day life.
Andy, what a fictional book boyfriend, honestly, his caring and thoughtful demeanour … just swoonworthy!!! Sigh!!!
I flipping adored this book immensely! I recommend you put it high on your tbr list!!!

Sara Ney is one of my favourite and must read authors. Her stories are always superb and hilarious, and I’m always torn by the end of the book wanting more from the couple the story is about and equally wishing that most of the secondary characters also get their own stories. Not Your Biggest Fan have one of the best meet cutes I’ve ever encountered. How Harlow and Andy, two midwestern strangers who run into each other in NYC, is beyond awesome! They have a refreshing and genuine connection. Andy is obsessed by Harlow because she’s cute, clever and has a smart mouth and he doesn’t have to impress her because she already likes him… The fact they met organically and there’s zero expectations is a revelation to Andy. He initially thinks Harlow is pretending not to recognize him and then he realizes that she genuinely doesn’t pay any attention to football, so no wonder she doesn’t recognize him as one of the NFLs biggest stars. She’s clearly not his biggest fan, she’s not a fan at all… Now while she might not recognize him, she’ll have plenty of people around her who are obsessed with football and will totally recognize him.
Not Your Biggest Fan was funny and feel good & an absolute winner!

Ahhhhh, Sara Ney is back with a bang bringing her witty banter, relatable character, and neverending crazy in all the best ways. Sara is a comfort author for me. I know going in I'm going to laugh and forget life for a while. It's the fastest fix to feeling good!.
Harlow is hilarious. She's laid back, can't help but word vomit even when internally she's screaming to stop and shut up. She's sweet and genuine and just all round relatable.
Andy is so goddarn fine. He's funny, a little dramatic, and has just the right amount of alpha and sweet. A well-rounded specimen if you will.
Harlow and Andy's first interaction is hilarious, and from that moment, things stay interesting.
They had great chemistry and a slow burn that teased the possibilities of what could come, and I have to be honest.. It did not disappoint.
They made me laugh so hard, Harlow with the mustache was EVERYTHING. But even better.. Big Steve, the little larger than life poppa bear who was wind swept and dramatic as hell.
Honestly, I lost myself in this story. I was intrigued by how Harlow would react to Andy and his reality. I was invested in how they would bloom and what bumps in the road with alter their happy. My favourite thing about this story is how unproblematic it is even with secrets and untold truths. Both characters are mature even when they still get to be a little silly and fun together. I loved the side characters and the fun they brought. Secret toilet group texting, blunt friends spewing facts, and a crazy fan dad sure did make for an entertaining read alongside the crazy Harlow and Andy brought... almost shitting ones self aside..
Fabulous read, I can't wait for what Dex's story may bring.. I have a feeling that it will be entertaining, to say the least.

Harlow and Landon (Andy) have an interesting meet-cute discussing under-cooked street food. They end up spending one day together in New York and Andy is smitten with Harlow. When Harlow returns to the small town of Green Bay, she does not expect Andy to keep in touch, but he does—not just once, but frequently.
As their relationship continue to progress (while apart), Andy decides to take a courageous step to seek her out at Green Bay. Those scenes with big Steve were hilarious! 🤣
I loved the vibe between Harlow and Andy and despite their differences the angst level was low. Expect snarky banter and lots of funny lines while reading this, thanks to Harlow who is definitely not a fan of football (or Landon, initially). I am definitely a fan of Andy-Harlow couple though. 😆

Not Your Biggest Fan Is Harlow James and Landon ( Andy) Burke’s story and it’s book one in the Not Yours Series.
Harlow is setting the dating world in fire with her new app to help singles find love. In New York to secure some investors she comes across a hot, stranger at her favourite food truck. Fate seems determined to put Harlow and Andy together and they find themselves in the same hotel and that’s when things get real interesting……
This is a meet cute romance, it’s entertaining and well written with wonderful characters. Looking forward to what’s to come in the next instalment of the Not Yours Series.

It is cute, uncomplicated, and good for a quick read. There is nothing extraordinary in this story and there is nothing wrong with it. It left me with absolutely zero feelings, neither positive nor negative.

Maybe some of my issues with this book stem from not being its demographic. That being said....
Things I liked:
The meet-cute was novel.
It's a good book for when you want something low-angst.
Things I didn't like:
Assuming Harlow's the same age as her friends, she's about 30. She does not act as if she's 30. Running to daddy's house because the ex-gf of the guy you're seeing blows up his phone is not mature. Also, I can't remember if the book says how's she's paying her expenses while she gets her app off the ground.
Andy was likeable but superficial. Also, I know you're a grown man, but it's common courtesy to let your parents know when you're skipping town, mmkay?
Some chapters, like the ones that were almost exclusively dialogue/group text, felt like they were there for comedic value and not because they actually furthered the plot. Or if they did, a lot could've been trimmed. This also impacted the pacing of the book.
Repetition of ideas.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Tropes/Themes: Football Player MMC, opposites attract, he falls first, hidden identity
Dual POV 1st person
I would say this book was just OK for me. I found the MCs to be very excitable and difficult to relate to, probably because I’m old. Like at one point she says her mom didn’t get a cell phone until she was a college sophomore and I just died a little inside because I too was a college sophomore when I got my first phone and at that time texting didn’t even exist. (Also made me wonder about the age gap between Harlow’s parents because her dad is 58 in the books so he would’ve gone to college in the mid 80s….?)
Anyway. There were also a lot of things that I think was meant to be funny/cutesy but really just fell flat for me- like the whole thing with her dad when he discovered who she was dating. Honestly, that whole scene made me so uncomfortable. Possibly the issue is that I, like Harlow, don’t really care much about sports and find the hero worship to be off putting and weird, so to read a character doing just that gave me the ick.
Along with that the way Andy dragged out his big reveal was just….I hated it so much lol. I just felt like so much of this book was childish and their chemistry was lacking. All of the elements were there for a cute, funny rom-com with her dad, the besties peanut gallery, etc but the execution missed the mark. I skimmed the last 15% or so of the story.
However, I did appreciate that the MCs didn’t jump right from being interested in each other to the “I love you’s” with in “minutes” of meeting each other (And I’m a sucker for insta-love lol)

Great book, it was my first book written by this author and definitely won't be the last.
It was a great story and I really needed this book at this moment.

Harlow & Landon
They meet in line at a food truck in Central Park. She warns him not to eat the chicken. Did he listen? Of course not! So they bet each other who would get sick from the food. The winner gets dinner.

Such a cute romcom with a touch of spice! This is my first Sara Ney book and I’m defiantly going to find another.

Not Your Biggest Fan delivers lovable characters, witty banter, and great pacing, but lacks the edge of the author’s indie titles. The meet-cute and Andy’s reluctant feelings for Harlow were charming, as were their magnetic connection and humorous text exchanges. The sports angle and Andy’s relationship with his parents added depth and fun moments. However, the depiction of Green Bay as a small town felt off, making some details harder to connect with. While an enjoyable read with plenty of laughs, it fell short of being a standout favorite.
