This book is full of magic and mystery. Full of world building and character building and plenty of suspense. Great fantasy read.

I like it but it did felt it was definitly slow, this is not a book of tension but has a lot of magic and mystery and it's very well build I did love that, the author did an amazing job in making me imagine that I was emerging in this world.. And I did escape myself for a while there

This was not just a slow burn but a reeeeaaaaaaallllllllllyyyyyyyy slow burn. I was interested in the story which was why I kept reading but if I hadn't been, I would have DNF'd real quick. I ended up being happy I kept up because I loved the magical and mystery elements. The writing was immersive once it picked up and set a really nice tone for the rest of the book.

"The curiosities of Perciville Harper" is a fantasy book of an often used trope. Protagonist lives in small town, a strange out of towner arrives, and sets off an adventure to figure out a puzzle, fulfill your destiny, ir save someone. In a different Vvane Fjona wants to become a sages, figure out a mystery and a curse. Not a mage or warrior.

The books started off VERY SLOW. I've never DFF'd but was very close because the story seemed uninteresting & pointless, but the story progresses quickly and once the journey begins its unique magic and slight twists.

I'd like to thanks Simon for the ability to read book and am glad I finished it. I'd like to see another installment quickly.
