Thanks to #NetGalley and #InkubatorBooks for the book #CrazyForYou by #MarnieVinge. So much praise for this book and author. Marnie hit another home run with her new book, Crazy for you! Victoria used to be an amazing pop star twenty years ago until her best friend fell to her death. They said it was suicide but was it? Now, Victoria runs a wolf rescue but finding is in desperate need. She decides to do an exclusive interview to help with fundraising efforts. But an unwelcome person down her past has shown up and also a long ago stalker has resurfaced. Is everything going to blow up for Victoria and ruin everything she has accomplished? I highly recommend this amazing book! So many stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okaaay. That’s it? What did I miss?

I don’t know what to feel about this book. The first few chapters were interesting, and I got so invested in the characters that I expected a mind-blowing twist. The author kept going on about something that happened 20 years ago—something shocking, something Victoria tried to hide and run away from. I figured it out halfway through, though.

And when that “shocking event” was revealed, I no longer cared. This is a slow-burn—too slow, dragging, and repetitive. I fell asleep a couple of times, really.

Don’t get me wrong. The first few chapters were exciting, but the boring stuff didn’t make up for the whole thing.

Thanks to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC!

“Crazy For You” by Marnie Vinge is a mystery/thriller - more thriller. This book follows Victoria - a former pop star, now retired and running a wolf sanctuary. Her assistant, Joey, is a new friend, who has a past she’d like to keep hidden. Victoria’s sanctuary is running out of money, so she reluctantly agrees to an interview with Allie, a YouTube content creator and college student. Things become interesting when Allie arrives - and a person from Victoria’s past invites himself uninvited. There are three POVs in this story and two timelines - Alice (past), Victoria (past and present), and Joey (present). After a few chapters I thought I knew what was going on, but I wondered why others didn’t catch on - then a clue was dropped and things started making sense. Was it a bit far fetched - maybe? The beginning of this book was a bit slow - and I wish there had been more about the sanctuary (I know a pre-teen obsessed with wolves and wolf sanctuaries, but I can say that she still knows more than I do after reading this book about them).

I have read a lot of good psychological thrillers lately. The latest was Crazy for You by Marnie Vince. This book was filled with twists and turns and of course a shocking twist.

The idea of the book hooked me from the start, but I was a little disappointed because I couldn't connect with the characters. I found it a little unrealistic and the story seemed a bit immature. Perhaps it could be more relatable to a younger audience. It was a decent read, but it was too slow and dragged on too much to keep me interested. The characters made some stupid decisions and were very unlikeable, making the scenes seem unrealistic.

Crazy for You is a fast paced book you will want to devour in a day. A retired pop star, Victoria, now runs a wolf sanctuary. She retired when an accident occurred and a young woman died. In order to keep the funding she needs to keep her sanctuary running she does an interview on television.
This brings her old stalker back into her life. At the same time she receives an email photo of the dead girl.
The race is on to see who will win, and to find out if Victoria can keep the life she has built.

Vinge writes this psychological thriller with throbbing tension and fully fleshed out characters. I will read her other books, having discovered this talented author

I really liked the concept of this suspense thriller and found the wolf sanctuary element of it different and refreshingly original.
The story follows our female protagonist who used to be a pop star. She’s left the world of fame behind and is seeking refuge in her wolf sanctuary. She’s being stalked too by a fan and is haunted by her dark secrets. Especially a friend who she killed.
The book is a fast read. Easy to get through. Atmospheric and tense.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately I found the plot to be a bit flimsy and I guessed the outcome quite early in my reading.
The idea of a wolf sanctuary is an interesting one though. It worked well with the main character and her own healing.
