These are so fun! I love getting excerpts so I can choose which books I am really interested in this year. Usually I can tell by the blurb and author which books I want to read, but every once in a while there's something that doesn't catch my eye that I really love or something that doesn't live up to the marketing for me.

My Take:
I always find pleasure in reading these for a glimpse of what's forthcoming. However, to be candid, I often don't encounter many books that resonate with me due to a lack of diversity. This edition was a pleasant surprise! It featured authors who write across various genres, including romantasy, sapphic contemporary, historical, and paranormal. I hope Buzz Books maintains this direction, incorporating indie and smaller publishers, ensuring the authors represent the diversity of the reviewers and readers. Overall, excellent work! Two of the highlighted books are already slated for my book club discussions.

I really enjoyed getting sneak peeks of Buzz Books 2024: Romance. I loved the information about the book (synopsis, release date, number of pages, cover, etc) as well as a couple of chapters to give you a real preview of what you could read. There were my obvious favorites - B.K. Borison's "First Time Caller" has me screaming for more! And some surprises for me were the Mia Sheridan book "Heart of the Sun" as well as authors I hadn't heard of yet like Clare Osongco and her book "Midnights With You" or Kristy Boyce "Dating and Dragons."

To me, this was like the chance to virtually sit in a bookstore and pluck books off the shelf and read a few pages/chapters before deciding to buy or not. I really enjoyed this and would certainly do again if given the chance!
