Honestly I've to say that last year I added a lot more books to my list, than this year.
It's absolutely okay, but that's also the reason why I'd give this edition 3 stars.

a great book to get some good looks into some of the new books coming! I liked how there is a description and then an excerpt from which you can tell a good amount about the book without it being to long or to foreshadowing about the whole story!

This is cool to be able to see what romance books will be released. It certainly doesn't help my TBR but it makes me excited for what is to come.

This is so cool! I didn't know this was a thing. It is fun to be able to get samples of some of the romance books coming out. It helps to build my already over flowing TBR. I added a bunch from this one. There should be more like this! longer review coming soon! it will be a fun season for romance lovers!

I was excited to read the new Buzz Books for romance 2024. This book is a great idea to get the word out about upcoming titles, especially ones that you may not read originally. By giving us a chance to see what these amazing authors have written we find books that we can’t wait to try and can’t wait to tell others about.
I was excited to get a sneak peek at the new book by one of my favorite authors, Sabrina Jefferies. Her new book, Hazardous to A Duke’s Heart, looks like one I will have to buy for my collection. I also made new discoveries of books and authors I wanted to try like Aurora Ascher’s My Funny Demon and Sara Raasch The Night Before Kissmas. I even found one that I might not have tried from contemporary romance by Sav R Miller.
You never know what books you might find to add to your TBR! Thank you to NetGalley for letting me have the opportunity to read this.

As usual, my only complaint is I wish it had more samples! I always find books I wouldn't have normal picked up when reading these guides, and this time was no exception. I'm of course excited for First Time Caller, but also Passion Project (!!), Heart of the Sun, and Showmance. Adding these (and a few more) to my TBR! I can't remember if they've done this in years past, but I liked how they had books indexed by both sub-genre (contemp, romcom, paranormal, etc) and age range (YA, NA, Adult). It was a helpful way to see what was what.

This is a great way to find new authors, and to check out their upcoming books! I love that there are links to find the books online. The small excerpts are enough to make me want the whole book! Thank you netgalley for this arc copy!

I loved the variety of genres within romance that were in this book. It really is a reminder that romance is so diverse these days. I wasn’t a fan of every book selected, but several I enjoyed and almost all I at least found decent enough to read the whole excerpt. I discovered a few books I will be reading that I hadn’t heard of before!

Buzz Books 2024: Romance was such a fun little journey! I have never read a compilation such as this, but really enjoyed the ride. Below is a short blurb for each of the featured books.

Flirting Lessons: LGBT representation, The introvert and extrovert fall for each other. Cute, but didn’t grab me completely.
Promises and Pomegranates: I don’t like dark romances and this was no exception. If you do, this one is probably for you.
Midnights with You: I wanted to like this one. Unfortunately I really didn’t understand what was going on from the excerpt provided.
My Funny Demon Valentine: Quirky, spooky, and fun.. yes please! Can’t wait to read the rest of this one.
Heart of the Sun: I haven’t heard of many post apocalyptic romance books so this was all new. Ultimately, it was not for me.
Hazardous to a Dukes Heart: Somehow, I have never read a regency romance. Unfortunately, I don’t think this excerpt helped convince me to change that.
Showmance: Broadway romance? Yes please. The author tied the two together well AND made it funny.
First Time Caller: What I read was very cute and kept my interest. Love that the MC are not new adult and there’s some single parent representation. I will be requesting/purchasing this one!
Dating and Dragons: Reads more YA than new adult. These kids are in high school? Seemed cute otherwise, but YA romance is not my favorite.
The Kiss Bet: My first romance graphic novel and I thought it was really interesting !
Love & Lattes - Quirky and enjoyable, the uncertainty of early adulthood came through even in these few chapters.
Passion Project: Love. Immediate yes. I can’t wait to read the rest of this book.
While We’re Young - this read more YA than young adult. Not for me, but if you like a YA romance it might be for you.
Firebird: Unfotunately DNF.
Divine mortals: Captured my attention immediately. Kudos for how much world building they fit into a few chapters. Excited for this one!
Sword Crossed - Just did not capture my attention.
The Nightmare Before Kissmas: Cute and fun holiday romance ! I mean .. Santa’s son is ordered to marry the Easter princess but wants the Prince of Halloween? Love it.
I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m trapped in a Eom-Com: I have no idea what I just read and I loved every minute.
The Dividing Sky - I think a genre I dislike more than new adult is dystopian. Not for me.
Playmaker -Not a super original idea, but still a very fun read.
Fast & Reckless - Actually have already read an ARC for this and enjoyed it! Recommend if you like sports romances.

I absolutely love these buzz books snippets. This coming season I'm mostly looking forward to First Time Caller. BK Borrison writes such cozy small towns that I'm ecstatic for a Meg Ryan Rom Com series!
I also am excited for Sav R Miller's Promises and Pomegranates. I read one of the books in the series on her kickstarter this summer and loved it.

Absolutely loved getting to read some of these chapters and cannot wait to read some of the full length novels. It’s great to get to sample them so I know what to request!

Great teasers for upcoming books - I like the option to directly request copies from the snippet pages. I had not seen this as an option on here before but now I know to look for it.

These upcoming books look really good! I recognized Jasmine from the cover but did request First Time Caller after reading this!

Great to know up and coming romance books. Added a couple of these to my TBR.
Without this I am not sure I would have known about some of them as I believe sub-genres like post apocalyptic romance are quite niche, so I don’t think I would ordinarily come across them.
