You Deserve To Know by Aggie Blum Thompson is a tense, page-turning twisty domestic thriller in the best way possible.
Neighborhood friends Aimee, Lisa and Gwen all know how busy life gets with work, husbands and raising young children. Every Friday night they all converge on one of their homes for dinner. The three couples get to relax with a few drinks while their kids play together. While leaving one Friday night after dinner, Gwen’s husband Anton whispers in Aimee’s ear “you deserve to know.” Everything changes the next day when the police show up at Gwen’s house to tell her that Anton had been found dead in the alley behind their local hangout. What was once a close friendship between the three women spirals into a toxic web of lies, disloyalty, jealousy and infidelity.
Perfect for anyone who enjoys to be on the edge of their seat and having to force yourself to stop reading because you realize it’s the middle of the night and everyone else has gone to bed.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group for this advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was overall a really enjoyable and intriguing read! I liked that it was multiple points of view so you got more of what was going on in the story. The ending was....different. Not sure that I loved it since it felt like it came out of nowhere, but it worked.

I'm weak for stories about people behaving badly, especially upper middle class to upper class people. There's something so satisfying about it, and this books has it in spades. You know from the beginning that Anton was murdered- but by who? And why? That's the major question, but there are other, serious questions to be answered, as well. Where is Scott? And why did he disappear the night he planned to tell his wife, Amy, all that he had gotten tangled up in? Just when you think you have all the answers, the last chapter throws everything off, completely changing everything you just read. This was a really fun, well-written, well-thought-out book, and I really enjoyed it. I'm excited to see what Aggie Blum Thompson writes next.

How great was You Deserve to Know? Trust me, you need to read it and find out for yourself. A thriller that focuses on the mysteries in an affluent neighborhood, this had at least three to four different plot lines that intrigued and worked together. But the best part was really the end, the literal final pages, and I encourage anyone who loves a strong twist to devour this book to enjoy the feeling of wanting to read it all again to see if you can pick up on any clues.
You Deserve to Know follows three neighbors an and friends. Aimee, Lisa, and Gwen as they navigate their friendships (and frenemyships) through the suspected murder of Gwen’s husband while Aimee’s own husband is clearly hiding something from her. Did the two men get caught up in a conspiracy? Who could have murdered Gwen’s husband, Anton, and why would they do it? Will Lisa kill Gwen before anyone can find out?
All these questions and more are answered in this delightful book which will appeal to fans of the genre!
