This is a beautiful book. I’m still partial to TCoW, largely because there’s a kind of prescriptive/self-help-y energy to (parts of) RtW that I struggled to connect with. But Lidia Yuknavitch is a phenomenal writer and storyteller and I can’t wait to keep reading her work.

Absolutely brilliant--this is as close to Virginia Woolf as I've ever read, with brilliant fragments and shards of stories all creating an ebb and flow of memory, embodiment, and reflection.

Lidia’s words are candid and insightful, transforming personal pain into profound beauty. Her writing resonates deeply, offering readers a path to understanding and growth through vulnerability and self-reflection.

I love how Lidia Yuknavitch writes. Her words are beautiful. With her writing she makes even the most shocking and dark things beautiful and lyrical. A memorable read.

I’m not sure how much more I can praise Lidia Yuknavitch. This was excellent. It felt like we picked right up where The Chronology of Water left off and continued to learn and grow. I will follow Lidia Yuknavitch to the ends of the earth, ends of a self, a new beginning, a new story.
