This book was given to me for an honest review. This might actually be one of my favorites from this author after the family plot.

This book has been on my radar since the blurb. Who wouldn't want to read about a woman who got a heart transplant and got obsessed with the woman's husband whom she got the heart from.

Every time i thought i figured it out, i was always wrong. This novel kept my interest until the very end. I was memorized by every word and was on the edge of my seat. I didn't want it to end

First let me say I loved all the Taylor Swift references in this book. This book was so good! The plot twists kept you wanting more and kept you hooked from start to finish!

Rosie receives a heart transplant and she becomes curious about her donor. She uses DonorConnect to find out more about her donor and this is when things get crazy. As much as I want to go into more detail I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who wants to dive into this crazy but amazing read! I highly recommend this book!

Thank you Megan Collins and NetGalley for the ARC!

A full 5 stars!

This follows Rosie, who recently received a heart transplant from an anonymous donor. She is . However, once she begins messaging her donor’s husband via an anonymous messaging app she begins to suspect her donor was the late wife of renowned local author Morgan Thorne. Now that she has his wife’s heart, she becomes convinced they are meant to be together. However, as they keep messaging and she learns more details, the death of Morgan’s wife, Daphne, becomes more and more suspicious. Is Morgan the man of her dreams, or is he dangerous?

This is just the beginning of the thrilling web Megan Collins has woven in her most recent novel. This book kept me guessing, with many unexpected twists and reveals. Not only that, but it was just a genuinely fun book to read. It’s a little over the top, but in the best way. I really enjoyed this one and look forward to what Megan Collins puts out next.

I am not normally a thriller reader, but the description of this one had me so intrigued I was dying to dip my toes into the genre. The author did an amazing job keeping me confused...but in a good way! I wanted to believe and trust our main character Rosie, but the more interactions she had with her friends and family, the more I questioned if she was a reliable narrator. I loved the mixed media aspect of this novel with the messages, texts and emails sprinkled throughout. I never saw the twist coming and after I finished the book, I had to lay staring at my ceiling for a bit to let it all sink in.

I highly recommend this book for any readers who love a good mystery, suspense plot, and a cast of characters that constantly has you guessing who is lying.

I enjoyed this book but didn't feel anything was outstanding about it. I liked the main character, Rosie, but found there were a few too many twists to my liking.

Ooooohhh! This book is excellent! This was my first read by Megan Collins, but it won’t be my last. What an exciting ride! At first, Cross My Heart seems like a rom-com when heart transplant recipient, Rosie, seems to be hitting it off with her heart donor’s husband, Morgan. However, it morphs into a psychological thriller as the tone changes when new revelations and uncertainties are introduced. Rosie is a fabulous main character who is kind and good-natured. She is trusting, forgiving and loving to a fault. She can also be quite obsessive when her runaway emotions keep her from thinking clearly and from making wise decisions. As time goes on and more characters are introduced, it seems like everyone has a little “crazy” in them. Who is sane and who is not? Who is imagining things? What is the truth? And was Morgan’s wife’s death really an accident or was it murder? Almost everyone is suspicious. Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for this engrossing read.

Thank you to net galley and publisher that allowed me to read this book as an ARC. This book’s description made me want to dive right in. It was such an interesting concept. It follows a woman who recently had a heart transplant from the wife of a famous author. She begins corresponding with him over confidential messaging system called DonorConnect. She begins to view this man as a potential love interest. As they continue to talk there are some concerns that arise that his wife’s death may not have been an accidental fall and he potentially may have played a part in it. There were a lot of twists and turns in this book. About halfway through there was a twist that made me say WAIT WHAT?!?! and made me want to go back and re reread the whole first part. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

This was fun. Not earth shattering but a fun quick thriller. The premise is actually very original. Girl has a heart transplant and starts emailing the husband of the women whose donor heart she has. Could this be love? Rosie has a habit of jumping into new relationships with both feet rarely looking at the consequences or trying to manage her own self worth. I liked this book but as usual o figured out the twist early on. Some of the minor twists were highly unlikely but I still enjoyed the book.

OMG THIS BOOK!!!!

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a thriller that kept me guessing, turned everything upside down, and brought the twists that my heart desires! BUT THIS BOOK DOES IT!!!!

Seriously, I think I questioned nearly every single person in this story—that’s how good Megan Collins was at making me question not only myself, but everyone involved.

Because Rosie isn’t just the heart transplant recipient of Daphne Thorne…no, she’s also partially (completely??) stalking Daphne’s famous husband, Morgan, and chatting with him online anonymously through DonorConnect.

But then things progress between Rosie and Morgan…or do they…?

SERIOUSLY, I can’t say anything else without spoiling things, but let’s just say you won’t see every twist and turn in this book coming. You just won’t.

Loved!!!! You think you know what is going on the entire book then BAM there is a secret revealed at the end that blows your mind.
Rosie gets a heart transplant and connects with her donor’s husband on Donor Connect. Through emails and different points of view we are taken on a roller coaster ride of a story. Megan Collin’s really had me guessing until the end. I always look forward to her new books. Many thanks to the author, Atria Publishing and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. After a hearbreaking break up where she was dumped in her wedding dress, Rosie gets sick and had to get a heart transplant. A year and a half later, she connects with the husband of the woman whose heart she got, and she starts researching him and goes down a rabbit hole that borders on stalking territory...
This is a thriller with an unreliable narrator and unlikeable characters, and I was sadly not a fan. It was predictable and chock-full of filler that felt all but necessary. Get ready to suspend disbelief.
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Cross My Heart has such a interesting topic that it opens up to in the premise. A woman who receives a heart transplant from a donor connects with the husband of the donor and quickly becomes obsessed with him. There was many twists and turns and has many instances of who done it? I had theories but the narrator keeps you guessing as she is very unpredictable. Rosie is spunky and just wants somebody to love her. She is vulnerable in many ways but is kick ass in others. I did find the author's use of "Rosie Colored Glasses" to be a bit overused at first it was cute but got more noticeable and redundant as the story finished. This novel will keep mystery lover's guessing and it has a lot of heart. Yes I used a pun!

This book is extremely unique and fascinating. It is also very informative about what it is like to be a transplant recipient without being too cut and dried or skimping on the exciting parts of the story. It is engagingly unpredictable with exciting twists that leave the reader not knowing what to believe from one moment to the next. The only major flaw is that for a smart girl, the main character can be horror movie-level stupid sometimes making decisions that make absolutely no sense and cause the reader to wish they could shake some sense into her. However, all in all, it's an agreeable and satisfying read.

Talk about a bingeworthy page-turner! This was my first read of 2025 and the perfect way to kick off the new year. I could not put it down and finished the entire book in a day. The premise was so unique and exciting. The dual POVs kept me guessing and created so much suspense. I thought I had it all figured out, but I was totally wrong and utterly shocked by the twists. This thriller be thrilling!

I think I have a love/hate relationship with this book. The first 35-40% was TOUGH and u had to force myself to push through. Something exciting would happen, and then my interest would be lost again. The last 25% of the book was solid and I was eager to finish.

The characters weren’t as likeable as I usually prefer. I hate Morgan, hate Blair, hate Rosie, and hate Edith. The only characters I liked were the cat and dog, and maybe Nina because honestly she was a real one for most of the time.

A promising storyline that was executed decently. I wish this book was a bit shorter and some of the unnecessary stuff was taken out.

Wow! Breathless! Author Megan Collins, writes a psychological suspense you can’t put down! The twists keep coming! My mouth even gaped at the end, haha! All I can think is “How does her mind create this kind of stuff?” Phenomenal, I loved “Cross My Heart”! Megan Collins editor has been pitching it as a “twisted You’ve Got Mail”, so fitting, couldn’t agree more!

It’s about a woman, Rosie, who is the protagonist in the novel, who becomes obsessed with her heart transplant donors husband. They connect on a private message board from the transplant company and the twists evolve from there. 50% in , I couldn’t put it down. Rosie has a heart of gold but is a bit unbalanced in her thoughts and ideas. This psychological thriller will have you questioning her and everyone she knows, a “who done it” of sorts.
Favorite character, Rosie, or at least one of them, haha! Thinking she’s a little “off her rocker” is what keeps you seeking more. You want to love her and pray for her instability, but is instability even the right word, maybe mental….crazed. I had hope!

I highly recommend “Cross my Heart” by Megan Collins. If you love a psychological thriller this one’s for you!

This was my favorite of Megan Collins’ yet. Our MC seems a little… off? She’s swapping emails with her heart donor’s surviving husband, and while she is shrouded in the anonymity that donors and donees are entitled to, she has an upper hand because her bestie broke some HIPAA laws so she knows who he is and she wants him. It’s a complicated mess.

Just when I had this one solved, I had to pivot because another plot twist was stirred into the mix. The end was a whole new twist, and it made for a lot of fun. I would say it’s a little unhinged, more of a drama than a thriller, but enjoyable nonetheless. It would make for a good lifetime movie if that’s your thing. Thanks to Atria for my eARC.

This one was a good book but kinda weird too. I thought it was well done and a book I would recommend although there were some things I felt were to crazy. I was hoping for a little more but it was a good book.

This is definitely a page-turner! Lots of twists - some I saw coming, but many I didn't. Overall, I think I preferred the first half of this story to the second half. Some of the characters just really started to get annoying by the last half of the story. My only other quibble is that I thought the messaging of men labeling women as "crazy," while legit, got a little heavy-handed at times. However, I would still highly recommend this enjoyable thriller!

I really love reading books that make you rapidly turn BACK pages trying to figure out where you missed the clues!!!! CROSS MY HEART seems like a simple case of a woman who has a heart transplant, then decides the husband of the heart donor is fated to be her husband!!! Simple....NOT. Megan Collins has gifted readers a character whose logic defies reason, but you can't help but think......she may be crazy, but you never know until you try. As this lovelorn woman connects with the object of her affections through a website designed to allow donors and receivers to connect. She's just turned it into a dating app with a very limited number of participants.

The book is outrageously good. Definitely a new plot line, it's usually the donor relative chasing the receiver, then kicked it up several notches. The writing style is designed to wow the reader and it does. With enough breaks in the POV and the mixed media, you don't have time to get bored. And then.......well, I didn't find any clues I missed so I'll just say, read carefully and don't set your book down for anything!!!!
