I enjoyed this book and I loved the inside look to living like a billionaire! I really didn't connect with or enjoy the FMC that much but it didn't ruin how cute the book was. Excited to read more from this multi-author series!
I love the grumpy sunshine trope in this Fall themed romance! It was cozy, funny, steamy, and overall a great read! the FMC wasn't my favorite at all, but the MMC definitely made up for it!
This book was the perfect autumn romance read!
Finn was simply the most perfect book boyfriend - although I would’ve liked for the book to dive a bit more into his emotions - and Marcella was very adorable as well.
Together, they do form a pair that feels like they are soulmates and destined to be together forever.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I love billionaire trope! And this one was no exception. Enjoyed every minute I read. It is apart of a multi author series so if you loved this I highly recommend reading the others as well!
The beginning of this book was very slow but then I got into it! I don’t necessarily love the title of this book. It feels a bit random. I liked the character development in this book.
I think this book was very sweet. And I loved the reverse grumpy vs sunshine. Finn and Marcella are just the perfect match. Billionaire romances never disappoint as we all get to live vicariously through them. Definitely a fan and look forward to reading many more from Camilla Evergreen. 4 ⭐️
The story is beautifully written, and I truly enjoyed its quirkiness and uniqueness. Finn and Marcella make the story perfect, and I like that it doesn’t get unnecessarily complicated and resolves conflict logically.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley.
This was a cute and different love story that I really enjoyed! Thank you for allowing me to read and review this ARC
This book was the perfect fluff read to break up a book slump.
I loved the writing and both characters; Marcella and Finnegan!
This was my first Camilla Evergreen book and I'm just not sure she's for me. I know she has some die-hard fans out there and I appreciate that she has a quirky and niche style within the romcom genre. I just don't think her writing style along with some darker elements and humor are my personal vibe. I did love ALL the fall things...pumpkin patch, Halloween town, apple picking, baking, etc. It did give me all the feels where those things were concerned. And Marcella and Finn had some really sweet moments (the wedding scene was perfection and made me cry). I just won't be rushing to read another of Camilla's books any time soon.
⭐⭐⭐.5 rounded down

This was a perfect fall read! I laughed so much and loved all the characters. I loved the quick wit comebacks too! When you find your perfect soulmate they get you! Thanks to the author and #Netgalley for this oh so fun read!
Finn is a billionaire looking for a wife. Little did Marcella know when she was a bit drunk when she completed the application , that it was Mr. Marsh.
When Marcella goes I to work, her boss calls her into his office. YES, he is smiling... always smiling!
Mr. Marsh let's Marcella know he would like to marry her...
Marcella has many issues. She is very protective and has 2 friends, she dislikes most everything and is so poor.
Finn asks her to try being his girlfriend for 3 months. Marcella has conditions, Finn doesn't blink an eye.
What happens in 3 months is Finn is able to get Marcella to open up, accept life and fall for Finn.
Finn gets a wife, friends, family and the love of his life...never to be alone again.
I’m not sure this writing style is for me. Book was okay but didn’t pull me in due to the style of writing. Perhaps I’ll give it another chance but right now it’s just meh.
I read this book in one cozy start of autumn evening and it gave me all the cozy vibes. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it will not be my last, so talented with story weaving. Thanks to the author, NetGalley and publishers for the arc.

Marcella Keyes is struggling. Her debt from the loan she took out in college for her dad’s hospital treatment is only building up. She doesn’t even have a bed. On her birthday, she has had half a bottle of wine when she stumbles across an ad to marry a billionaire by Christmas. So, why not fill out the 200-question-form right?
Finn Marsh is trying to find companionship. That’s all he really requires. His mom isn’t expected to make it through December and once she’s gone, he’ll be completely alone. What he didn’t expect, was to fall head-over-heels for his assistant who claims that she didn’t mean to fill out his marriage questionnaire.
The first in a multi-author series (Cinnamon Rolls & Pumpkin Spice)!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️5/5
He's the roll, she's the spice...
Marci wants to quit being an assistant to her boss, Finn, because, get this, he's too nice. She's the grumpy spice. Finn really is a cinnamon roll, sunshine guy. He bends over backwards and isn't above using blackmail (or in this case, paying off a portion of her massive debt).
I really liked Finn.
No spicy times.
Hating the Cinnamon Roll CEO by Camilla Evergreen was a fun workplace enemies to lovers story.
It was the perfect start to the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice series.
This was absolutely delightful. The plot was well-paced and captivating from start to finish. The characters were charming and witty. I highly recommend this fun and quick read.
A fun romcom. And I enjoyed every second of it! A wonderful book to start my fall reads with!
Oh YES. This is such a fantastic read, and I always love finding a new-to-me author! What a delightful twist on the rich guy romance, and perfect vibes for fall!
Such a good autumn read. Workplace enemies to lovers, really liked the characters and the writing.
I received a copy from NetGalley for this ARC. All opinions in this review are my own. I also want to thank the Author.
Is it rational to hate my billionaire boss because he’s too nice?
Maybe not.
However, it’s definitely rational to apply to become a billionaire stranger’s housewife so I can quit being a personal assistant.
When—in a shocking turn of events—I encounter billionaire scarcity and learn I’ve signed up to become my boss’s wife before Christmas, I backpedal so hard I’m liable to pull something.
Shame indeed my too nice boss picks this moment to blackmail me.
The agreement is simple: I date him; he pays off my crippling debt; I have until the end of November to decide whether or not I’m saying “I do.”
It’s one measly autumn, and then I’m free.
There’s no way I'll fall in love before this contract’s up…
Even if Finnegan Marsh proves to be so much more than nice
ARC Book Review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Marcella (Marci) spent her latest birthday drunkenly filling out a questionnaire to become a mystery billionaire’s wife. While she never imagined her application would go anywhere, she was surprised to learn the author of said questionnaire is none other than Finnegan (Finn) Marsh, her boss. Intrigued by her answers, Finn sees a future where the two could be happy. He feels so strongly about their compatibility that he offers to pay half of Marci’s outstanding debt if she agrees to give his offer a fair shot. Will Marci be able to survive one Autumn with a man she claims she can’t stand, or will she back out of the agreement and her job?
This is my first book by Camilla Evergreen and it won’t be my last! I loved her writing style. It was easily consumable with her witty voice that made for perfect banter. In addition, the plot was thoroughly entertaining. I flew through this book thanks to the fast pacing. While it is a book of average length, I felt like I blinked and it was over.
In addition, I greatly appreciated Evergreen’s character choices for her MMC and FMC. She goes against the typical stereotype of the grumpy/ sunshine trope by making Marci the grump. Her pessimistic attitude leaves little room in her life for Finn, the epitome of a cinnamon roll. His sunny disposition contrasts against Marci’s doom and gloom attitude made for hilarious scenes.
Needless to say I enjoyed my time reading Hating the Cinnamon Roll CEO by Camilla Evergreen. It was the perfect book to start the Cinnamon Rolls and Pumpkin Spice series. If the remaining books in this series are half as good as the first, I will be one happy reader.
Special thanks to Netgalley, Victoria Editing, and Camilla Evergreen for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
