I found this not-too-far-in-the-future story intriguing, thought provoking, well-told, and disturbing. It was difficult to put down. I was not aware it was the third in a series, but that did not prove to be a problem in following the story arc. Enough background was provided to be able to understand and follow the relationships among the various people living in and around Union Grove, NY. It was especially disturbing reading this at a time when the leaders of the US and North Korea have been making escalating threats.
