3⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and Embala Books for an advanced copy of Christmas At Silverberry Hall.

Sienna loves working for Freddie and Elizabeth at Silverberry Hall. Freddie unfortunately recently passed away so the annual Christmas party this year will be a dedication to him. Elizabeth is struggling after the death of Freddie only to find out her estranged son has passed away as well and she also finds out she has a grandson she never knew about. Sienna is given the task of tracking him down. Can she make Elizabeth’s Christmas wish come true?

This book was okay-the idea of it was good but the execution could have been better. The book really drug on and I felt there was a lot fluff that did not really need to be in the book.

I really enjoyed this book. The main character is Sienna and she works for Elizabeth at Silverberry Hall. The plot rotates around the planning for the Christmas event for the community that is held at the hall each year. There are a number of skeletons in Elizabeth’s cupboard that come to light as the story evolves. Sienna is getting over a broken engagement after her boyfriend cheated on her. I really enjoyed all of the characters in this book and the settings were described in such a way as to make the reader feel that they are part of it all. I would recommend this book.

I found this book a little difficult to get into and also a bit long winded. I did finish reading the story but did not particularly enjoy it as it was so slow. Sorry not the best Christmas novel I have read lately.

A great festive read. The reader gets to journey with the characters as they prepare for Christmas and experience the ups nd downs of getting a ever growning community event up and running, but also travels to beaustiful Cornwall to seek out the missing grandson and see how he will or ill not embrace his new family. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A pleasant read set around the people working and living at Silverberry Hall.

Sienna works for the owner of Silverberry Hall, Elizabeth, helping with the day to day running of the hall, and also involved in the yearly Christmas event. Elizabeth is still grieving the loss of her husband, Freddie, and is finding life quite hard, but with the help of her best friend (also Sienna's grandmother) she is slowing getting back to 'normal' life.

But then she hears about the death of her estranged son, and finds out she also has a grandson she knew nothing about, so Sienna helps her find him.

This sounded like it would be a really good story, but for me it just didn't flow very well for some reason, and I couldn't warm to many of the characters. Some situations that felt like they were heading in one direction then completely turned around and went another way which was very confusing and didn't make a lot of sense to me.

So whilst the setting sounded lovely the story just felt a little stilted for me.

Sienna is working at Silverberry Hall where the owner is still grieving after her beloved husband died last year. Elizabeth wants this Christmas to be bigger and better than ever. Sienna's Grandma has known Elizabeth for a very long time and is keeping her company for most of the time.

Only managed to read quarter of the book, but quite honestly I found the characters boring. Not for me unfortunately.

I received a free copy of, Christmas at Silverberry Hall. , by Lucy Coleman, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Sienna Sanderson is lucky to work at Silverberry Hall in the lovely Cotswolds. This Christmas Sienna is single, but she is so busy planning the Christmas party, to honor Freddie the owner of Silverberry who passed away. I have always wanted to go to the beautiful Cotswolds, such a magical place. This was a pleasant Christmas read.

Christmas is approaching and sienna is tasked with helping to organise her employers Christmas Eve celebrations. Secrets from the past and a trip to Cornwall lead to drama and realisations. Will
Everything work out as it should?

Christmas at silverberry hall is a festive tale with a hint of romance. The story has some good plot points and despite feeling a little slow to start it did build up a good rhythm. The dialogue felt a tad overly scripted at times, and it felt that there were two stories jammed together. The characters were well written but I felt one plot point could have been dropped in order to expand on the other.

Working t Silverberry Hall is all Sienna has known for the last few years. Working with Elizabeth and Freddie Blakesley has been a dream come true. This year Christmas is different as Freddie has gone and Elizabeth is left to make this years Christmas fair the best ever as a tribute to her wonderful late husband.
Sienna is more than up to the challenge and loves getting stuck in. Elizabeth is struggling and Sienna is more than capable of helping, then she finds out secrets from the past and is in a dilemma what should she do?
Oliver is the set designer for the play being put on for the festivities and Sienna becomes close to him maybe he can help?
Great read to cosy up with full of twists turns and festive cheer.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this arc!

What a good book! I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. This is a first by this author but will not be my last! I read this in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down.

In Darlingham, the community is mourning the loss of Freddie, husband to Elizabeth and man of the manor at Silverberryhall where Sienna works. As Christmas approaches, relationships are strengthened, tested, built and pursued.

It's a festive story with moments of realistic events, bits of escapism and interwoven stories. It was a nice enough read, and parts left me feeling very festive. I quite enjoyed the ending - it's not exactly what I first predicted it might be and the last chapter takes place 'a year on', so it nearly ties up the story. That being said, parts of it felt a little too forced and it just felt a little lacking! A shame as some of the communities and moments created were really lovely to read.

I was captivated from the very beginning of this story. Ir was heartwarming how the characters supported each other. It was a lovely setting in the Cotswolds. It was a tale of love, romance and family secrets. A perfect story to relax on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate under a quilt.

Thank you to NetGalley and Embla Books for this ARC.

Siena works at Silverberry Hall in the Cotswolds for Elizabeth who is best friends with her grandmother. Broadly speaking, the topics are the annual grandiose Christmas Party and the search for Elizabeth's estranged adult grandson. For both a ridiculous number of characters are introduced and I lost overview almost immediately. There are friends, family, old and new acquaintances, and all bring drama with them. Siena is still reeling from a recent break-up, and set designer Oliver helps her look for Ash, the grandson.

From the recap style at the beginning it feels like a summary of a previous book is given but I can find no mention of an earlier book.

The hall is a grand setting but while the novel deals with the preparations for a big Christmas party, it doesn't feel very festive at all. The romance is also more of an afterthought at the end, and I could get no feel for Ash and who he is. This is probably because the main stories are getting lost in the many many side stories and minor dramas no one cares about.

My biggest problem is that I couldn't really connect to all the different family and relationship dramas going on, with quite a few people having cut off family ties in the past and changed names etc. I didn't get on with the writing style, and the book ends rather abruptly, with an epilogue a year later speedily summarising the past year.

As Christmas stories go, this might appeal to a lot of people, but it didn't hit the mark for me.

Sienna keeps herself busy to distract herself from the breakup of her engagement and the wrench of her mother moving to Cornwall to be with a new man. She's busy as events manager for a close friend of the family, Elizabeth. Her current project is a grand Christmas event in remembrance of Elizabeths late husband. Whilst organising a performance of a Christmas play she comes into contact set designer Oliver, who seems to be the perfect person to support her through a number of emotional problems including finding Elizabeths missing grandson. Very festive and entertaining story.

A story of a woman who is still finding her footing after losing her fiance when he cheated and then losing a grandfather figure. Her work with his widow and her own grandmother give her purpose, but when planning a charity Christmas party, shortly after his death, lots of drama ensues. I enjoyed the story and characters overall. I found one of the side stories to be quite irritating and not handled very well, but it was minor and I enjoyed the main storylines.
