I was really excited when I got the email through for this eARC as I absolutely loved the premise and for the most part, I really enjoyed this book!
It’s a super cosy read absolutely filled with wholesome and heartwarming moments - and can’t forget about all the baby dragons! They truly are absolutely adorable and the way they are woven into the modern world makes you feel as thought living amongst them could totally happen!
My favourite part of this book was the bonds created between the characters; whether it be between Aidan and Saphira or Saphira and Sparky the baby dragon. These bonds form in the beginning pages and go from strength to strength as the story progresses. Very heartfelt and genuine 🥰
My only criticism is I feel like the author just tried to add in a bunch of popular tropes and themes but then didn’t really expand or develope any of them to their full potential. The book touches on grief, loneliness, there’s a fake marriage trope, feelings of not belonging or not being good enough. If one of these had been picked to then be further explored through the story I think this would have been a more well rounded book.

A Sweet, Lighthearted Fantasy Romance—But Not Quite My Cup of Tea
This cozy fantasy tale certainly serves up a generous helping of sweetness. With adorable baby dragons, a warmhearted café, and two people gently falling in love against a whimsical backdrop, it’s hard not to smile while reading. The world-building is a pleasant surprise—there’s a subtle hint of complexity in the class system determining who can raise and ride dragons, adding just enough depth to pique my curiosity. I often found myself wishing we could delve deeper into those darker, more complex themes, even though I understand that it's not the time or place in a cozy fantasy.
Unfortunately, while the premise is undeniably charming, the execution didn’t fully connect with me. The author’s style didn’t pull me in, and the frequent reintroductions of characters felt a bit patronizing, as though the book wasn’t entirely confident in my ability to keep track of who’s who. These elements kept me at arm’s length from fully immersing myself in the story.
Still, there’s plenty here for readers who enjoy gentle romance, cozy settings, and fantastical twists. Even if it wasn’t a perfect fit for me, lovers of warm-hearted tales and a dash of magic will likely find this a cute, comforting read.

’In a world where dragons flew through the air, nothing was too far out of reach.’
This was a super adorable cosy read! Pick this up If you want a comforting hug with:
🐉Dragons
☀️Grumpy x sunshine
🏡 Small town
👩❤️👨 Forced proximity
🤤 Delishious food and drink
I personally couldn’t massively get on with the writing style- I found the short sentances and lack of description made me feel like I was watching the story through a hazy window, not able to fully immerse myself in the story. I feel like the world building could have been built upon a bit more. Saphira and Aidan were both sweet characters, I just don’t find myself caring for them sadly 🙈.
A sweet story which I’m sure many will love- and I think it would be fantastic to add some recipes to the back of the physical book as some of the drink and cakes sounded super yummy!
***Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review ***

The Baby Dragon Cafe is the coziest, warmest hug of a book I’ve ever read. I could feel my anxiety ease as I read Saphira and Aiden’s (and Sparky’s) story. The low-stakes plot is not something I usually gravitate towards but I enjoyed it here. I also appreciated the emphasis on grief in the story.

*The Baby Dragon Cafe* by A. T. Qureshi is a heartwarming and whimsical tale that beautifully blends magic, adventure, and human connection. Set in a charming café where mythical creatures come to life, the story follows the journey of an unlikely hero who discovers a world of wonder and self-discovery. Qureshi’s writing is rich with imagination, creating a vibrant setting filled with quirky characters and delightful surprises. The book offers a perfect mix of lighthearted moments and deeper themes of belonging and resilience. *The Baby Dragon Cafe* is a charming, feel-good read that will enchant readers of all ages.

Unfortunately this book just wasn't for me. I found the writing to be overly juvenile in places, and the plot... well there wasn't really one to speak of. The romance was too insta love/lust for my liking, I didn't really like the MMC at all, he's standoffish and just doesn't seem that bothered with the FMC, and I just found it so overly repetitive in places. The MC doesn't come from a 'dragon' family, which must be mentioned at least 10 times within the first quarter of the book, but then the whole premise is she get's given a Dragon to train? With no experience? DNF at 30%

This was a really sweet and cosy story, definitely low stakes, just a fun love story with the added bonus of baby dragons.
I liked the characters, the tiny amount of drama was believable and not contrived, and it was 100% feel good.
Was perfect for a lazy day’s reading whilst the weather is misbehaving again.

Thank you to Net Galley and Avon Books UK for providing me with an ARC of this!
I’d describe this book as a Hallmark film with baby dragons.
Firstly, I’ll start with what I liked about this: the baby dragons were adorable, and I want one - although I think I would’ve liked some more in-depth descriptions of them to help visualise them a bit more. I liked the descriptions of the cafe and Starshine Valley early on in the story; they felt immersive and sometimes brought across that feeling of cosiness.
However, the romance was too cheesy for me and the writing style was simple too, whichmade the characters feel a lot younger than their mid-late 20s. The story also felt relatively simple with no stakes, which personally isn’t something I enjoy. The ending also felt very rushed for me. I wish that Mount Echo had more development and description and I feel like it would’ve been cool to get more of the story here, given it did have a somewhat integral part to the story.
Personally, I don’t think this book is for me but if you like really low to no stakes stories and cheesy-fluffy romance, you’d probably like it!

It was cute and fun! Not a favorite read for me but it was a cozy/low stress book. I would recommend it to a friend if they were interested in more wholesome romantasy books.

This novel is certainly not my genre but after seeing the cute cover and the great reviews, I had to add it to my list. The whole novel is completely endearing and I was soon lost in the plot. I really liked how the relationship unfolded between Saphira and Aiden and you can’t fail to fall in love with Sparky. Thank you to NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author for the chance to review.

This was probably not my usual cup of tea but who can resist a baby dragon? Cosy fantasy is so popular right now and I think this is the warm hug in a book you expect from the cover. Very sweet!

Omg this is the cutest book ever. I want a baby dragon. If you like forth wing for the dragons and the likes of legends and lattes for a cute and cozy fantasy story you’ll love this book

This book is adorable and cosy and just so sweet. The Dragon Cafe is a wholesome cosy read, we see Saphira face her struggles as even though her dream has come true she has to fight to keep it going. Aidan needs help after losing his brother and they strike up to make a brilliant team. The stealer of the book is Sparky for sire. I love seeing Aidan and Saphiras relationship grow as they learn to believe in themselves and open up to each other.

Super cute and cosy fantasy romance. Really loved the premise of the book - the idea was really unique and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I found it a super easy read. Loved the insight into Dragons and their history etc. I would really like my own Sparky ❤️ Looking forward to the next books in the series!!
Thank you Avon Books for the ARC of this book.

Whole freaking and shining 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 !!! This is such a cozy romantasy read. Few chapters into the book, the world building just seemed so creative and imaginative to me 🤍. It instantly became my comfort read 💜 from the past few weeks, I'd return from college and read few chapters from this book to relax 🤧✨💗. I read it slowly on purpose...more like I SAVOURED each and every word 💖. The writing is just fabulous and I love love the way the @aamna_qureshi words provide comfort and give heartwarming feelings. I love the sophisticated nature of Saphira, her character felt so relatable and her motherly nature towards baby dragons was so nice 🌸🤍
All the Pakistani/desi references in this book were chef's kiss 💋🥰💞
The romance was so endearing 😫💞. This book made me want to get a cute little baby dragon for myself 🐉😭🤭🤭. I freaking LOVED IT SOO MUCH 💓💓

A sweet little confectionary of a book, with diversity, cutie dragons and a lovely bit of gentle world-building.
I already have high hopes for which side-characters we are getting as main characters in future books.

This is a very cute and cozy read which needs to be added to everyone's tbr.
I was pulled into a cozy world where we follow Saphira tell from opening a baby dragon cafe to her training a baby dragon to earn money to keep the cafe open.
The interactions between Saphira and Aiden had me smiling without realising it.
This book is a hug in a mug and I can't wait for book two.

The Baby Dragon Cafe is the ultimate cosy fantasy romance read!
I devoured this book! It was very easy and comforting to read. It felt exactly like a warm hug of a book!
The characters were adorable, both separate and especially together. The exchanges between Saphira and Aiden had me grinning from ear to ear. They were just the cutest! Also, who doesn't love a guy who cooks?!
The baby dragons were the sweetest, and now I want one for my closest companion (is it too farfetched to add one to my Christmas wishlist? Seems like a realistic gift idea, right?) Especially Sparky, who just made me laugh with how opposed to Aiden he was in the beginning!
I need the sequel, (as in, I needed it yesterday) and can't wait to get my blanket and peppermint tea and snuggle up to read more from this wonderful world filled with the cutest dragons imaginable!

This is cute and cosy low stakes romance making it the perfect palette cleanser for something different and wholesome but still with some fantasy elements. Think Hallmark Christmas movies but swap Christmas for dragons.
If you don't want to live in a world where there are baby dragon cafes at the end of this I'll be surprised.
Grumpy sunshine MMC and a FMC you cannot help but love it’s a couple you are rooting for.
AT Qureshi writes wonderfully about the town, the café and the dragon lore that it doesn’t feel overwhelming and feels like its real
Thank you Netgallery for the advanced reader copy
