I am enjoying the Delaney Pace series and this edition hit the mark. Plenty of backstory to keep you reading. Premise was very good with many a red herring to keep you guessing. Look forward to the next offering. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.
Delaney Pace, and her boss, Sheriff Leo Palmer are on the hunt for someone who is kidnapping teenage girls. The first one turned up after several years missing, dead at the bottom of a ravine. Then a second girl goes missing, only to wind up dead. When a third disappears, they know time is running out if they hope to find her alive.
But there are secrets hiding, and more than one will come to light during this time.
Get ready for some twists and turns that will leave you gasping for more.
With a very interesting setting and fantastic characters, this book has a base for suspense, mystery and a little humor and romance. Very well written and excellent entertainment.
Her Forgotten Shadow, the highly anticipated 4th book in Pamela Fagan Hutchins' Detective Delaney Pace series, is as awesome as the first three books and just as heart wrenching. Now that Delaney has teenagers living with her, she is even more torn by the idea of a girl or young woman being abused, and this book takes us there. She and Leo perform a balancing act between the sheriff's office and the police when two cases appear to overlap. In one case, the police department blew the investigation and someone who matters to Delaney was part of that. The situation makes the chief of police even more sensitive to the lines between the department at a time when they most need to work together. The ever-growing list of suspects who all look really guilty really makes the job tough. Only the team's never-ending efforts to seek out every clue give young girls who have disappeared even a tiny chance of recovery. The only negative was the flashbacks that didn't seem to advance the plot, but the rest of the book is so good that I can live with them.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read and review and ARC of Her Forgotten Shadow.

Her Forgotten Shadow (Detective Delaney Pace Book 4): A completely gripping and unputdownable crime thriller by Pamela Fagan Hutchins.
I have read the other books in this series and like this character and her team. Her Forgotten Shadow is a good addition to this crime thriller series. However, sometimes the story felt disjointed, and the alternative timeline was cumbersome.
I am a fan of this series and this author. I would recommend this book and would suggest reading this series from book 1. Her Forgotten Shadow is a good addition to this series.

Once again, Delaney and Leo are on the hunt for some unsavoury types having found their way to their hometown.
I love the way Delaney is devoted to her daughters and her job, but it seems like she often forgets she has the right to have a life too. Will the voice of her heart shout louder this time than her brain's?
Delaney is a force to be reckoned with. What she lacks in muscle when she has to fight a man, she gains on a different level: she can always rely on her technique. Sometimes she bides her time, luring her opponent into a false sense of security before taking the upper hand.
I cannot wait to read the next part, because it already sounds very intriguing and promising. 5 stars
Thank you
I’m a huge fan of this series. Disney Pace is such a great bad a$$ character. This book was not only dark and disturbing but I kept waiting for the one storyline to rear its ugly head but it really didn’t. Plus the other storyline that I truly need to happen is driving me bananas. 🤣
That being said it was cool to see Delaney in action again. #teamleo
Delaney and Leo are back! A young woman is found dead and turns out to be a missing person from years ago. Delaney won’t stop until she solves it. Plus has her girls to deal with and now something weird is up with Skeeter. Not to mention her avoiding her feelings for Leo. I found myself turning pages as fast as I could. This is one of my favorite new series. Can’t get enough of these characters. Looking forward to what’s next. #LeoForSheriff
