This is a heartwarming Christmas novel about love, self-discovery, and following one's true path. Ivy Heart is torn between her passion for nature and her mother's career expectations, while Ross Ballentine, a nature lover, left his family estate, Hawthorn Castle, burdened by guilt over his parents' deaths.Ivy takes a job with Lady Miriam Ballentine to bring Ross back home by Christmas. Initially focused on her career, Ivy grows closer to Ross and starts to reconsider her ambitions, while Ross confronts his past. Set in a festive backdrop, this story offers a journey of healing and personal growth, with relatable characters and meaningful life lessons for a holiday read.

❄Sweet and cozy☕😌
This was a sweet grump/sunshine romance with all the trappings of a snowy Scottish Highland countryside and a year-round Christmas resort doling out mince pies, cookies and cocoa like they're going out of style.
I liked it, both the plot and the character development. Main characters Ivy and Ross had a good, slow build romantic arc and the holiday atmosphere with snow falling, reindeer prancing, fairy and tree lights twinkling added nicely to their story.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Love that this is in Scottland! Such a cute little love story. The details with winter and the holidays are perfection!

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Back at the Christmas resort we meet some old friends but we also meet Ivy who is there on a mission from her boss.
Thoroughly enjoyed this festive read.

A fun cute Christmas romance.
An easy read good characters and a sweet romance. set in the Scottish Highlands.
Voluntarily reviewed,

This story takes place in the weeks before Christmas.
Ivy is given what seems like an unlikely task and finds herself at the Christmas resort.
It’s a very descriptive book. You’ll feel the cold and crunch of snow as we follow Ivy and Ross around in the woods. It’s an easy to read book with great characters.

There are so many great holiday books coming out this year. Winter Wishes in the Scottish Highlands is the latest and greatest that I’ve read!

A lovely book. Great characters, good and bad, mainly good and a lovely slow build romance. An excellent build up to the Christmas period and would make a good read for a winter’s evening.

📕📚Book review📕📚 WInter wishes in the Scottish highlands - Released on the 18th September. I was lucky enough to be given an arc for this beat of a read Huge 4 stars for this one, if you love a festive, cosy love story this one is for you. It makes me want to quit my job and move to the Scottish highlands where it feels like it’s everyday. You will fall in love with all the characters and just want to befriend them whilst tucking in to mince pies and hot chocolate. A must read for anyone who needs an escape. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 #donnaashcroft #netgalley #WinterWishesintheScottishhighlands#bookstagram

If you're in the mood for a sweet, festive romance, this is just the ticket. It's pure escapism, set in a comforting world of reindeer, hot chocolate, snow-bound cabins and where the strongest swear word is "dammit". My first Donna Ashcroft book & I'd happily read more after this.
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy.

Don’t you just want to grab this, switch off the phone and curl up on the sofa
By far one of my favourite books I've read this month… I loved every minute… All the Xmas feels…..

What a lovely story. The Christmas resort sounded lovely and I hate mince pies but they still sounded yummy. I loved Grizzle as a character . A story of grandchildren and a grandmother and blame. Lovely descriptions of the highlands in the snow. A very neat ending. Loved it

What a sweet winter read! Ivy and Ross are great characters and I loved watching their relationship blossom. The Scottish background made the book feel that much more cozy! It was a cute, well written romance.

nter Wishes in athe Scottish Highlands was my first Donna Ashcroft book and now I'm hooked. This is the perfect winter read, a sweet, lighthearted romance. A quick, short read, but the characters still had enough time to develop.
I love how quickly the mcs get to know eachother. Dual povs really bring you into the mind of both characters and help you know them better.
I love these supporting characters. So loving and funny. I can't wait to see how this side characters grow in future books as well.

This is such a fun, lighthearted romance story. The story made me feel like I was sitting in front of a crackling fire in a log cabin in the middle of a snowstorm, wrapped up in a cozy blanket and reading.
4.5 🌟
Ivy comes to Christmas resort in the Scottish Highlands in order to bring back her employer's youngest grandson who is now the primary candidate for Laird of her castle now that his oldest brother has ran away from the responsibility. She didn't expect to fall in live with Ross
Ross is taking care of the lodge instead of going back to a family he always felt excluded from . He meets Ivy , thinking she's just a guest until she reveals the truth.
The supporting characters stories such as Grizzle and his demon pug are very entertaining.
The way that Ross and Ivy got to know eachlyber in a few days and fall for eachother is great.
I wasn't familiar with some of the Scottish slang but the writing was sweet and charming.
At some points of the story, I thought the story dragged and gave too many needless details about the resort so that's the reason I gave 4.5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.
This is a dual POV Christmas insta-love romance between Ivy and Ross, who is the estranged adult grandson of Ivy's employer Miriam. Ross's elder brother Simon was supposed to be the Laird of the Ballentine estate but he had an argument with demanding and unreasonable Miriam so now she needs Ross to take over the role, and Ivy to bring him home. Of course, that isn't as easy as it sounds, so Ivy has to spend a lot of time in Christmas Resort in the Scottish Highlands where he works, to persuade the reluctant guy.
Gosh, estranged adult grandsons seem to be fashionable right now. This is my second in a week.
I had a bit of a problem with these characters. Miriam is a Cruella De Vil caricature, Ivy's anxious Mum behaves ridiculously, Ross's avoidance tactics are childish and Ivy is simply naive. Over time I warmed a little towards Ivy and Ross because they're kind-hearted but I'm kind of allergic to having everyone's traits and thoughts excused by childhood trauma. We all have some trauma but we don't all think whatever happened is our fault and retreat from our families or go into jobs we don't like just to please someone else.
The third-act break-up had me roll my eyes. It's always great when a man doesn't listen to you. Also, who needs a gimicky coaching app with daily inspirational messages to master their life?
I almost loved all the side characters more than the main ones - hermit Grizzle who denies his eye problems and has a dog called Bowser who only likes women visitors, plus Mairi who has history with grumpy Grizzle, and husband and wife team Bonnibell and Connell who run the resort with love and gingerbread. Then there is Moose who is a dog, and Snowball who is a domesticated wild boar. Yes, you read that right.
The cover is gorgeous but the title is kind of generic. However, it's a fast, light-hearted read with enough romance and festive Christmas activities going on in Christmas Resort, where it is Christmas all year round, to gladden the reader's hopeful heart.
3.5 stars

If there’s one thing about me, its that I’m a Christmas girlie and getting an advance copy of #WinterWishesintheScottishHighlands through #NetGalley was the perfect way to start warming up for the best season. Light, cozy, and with a quite a few well placed puns, I loved getting to know Ivy and Ross as they fell in love. Donna really brought the quirks of each character to life with aptly named cacti and a sweet animal duo you won’t want to miss. While there was no real spice for this apple cider of a read, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and am fully considered passing on all fall decorations just to get my tree up ASAP.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for a DRC of this title.
I had such a nice time reading this one.The perfect heart-warming, cozy read to kick off the festive season-- would recommend!

Thank you for netgalley and Bookoture for my ARC copy.
This was such a quick, easy to read and cute festive romance. I really loved the relationship between the characters in this book and the found family aspect. Ross is also an absolute softy and his pets are amazing.

I always get excited every time a new Donna Ashcroft novel comes my way. I find her novels to always be a comfort, relatable, and inspiring. I also love the gorgeous locations and scenery she takes us to as well.
I absolutely loved the characters of Ivy and Ross and the duel viewpoints. I liked knowing what going on in each of their heads.
I could relate to young singleton and career girl Ivy and going through recent loss as well I felt a kinship to her and how she is trying to take responsibility to care for her family.
I thought Ross was a great romantic interest as well. It was heartbreaking how he blamed himself for the loss of family and I could see how both what Ivy and Ross can relate to in each other and how they can help one another heal.
I loved how Ivy learns to follow her own path and the other cast of characters fits the rich storyline perfectly as well. Ivys boss Miriam, her mother (loved the inspirational quotes btw!), and of course being an animal lover I loved the beloved animals that were a part of the story as well.
Although this is marketed as a Christmas story I think it is perfect for anytime of year and the lessons are so valuable and relatable. You will be smiling from cheek to cheek and not want the novel to end. I will be anxiously awaiting her next book.
Huge Thank you to the wonderful people at Bookouture and Netgalley for a review copy.
