I just finished Cougar Point. This is the first book I read by Gregg Olsen. At first, I found it confusing because of all the back and forth timelines but once I was able to manage all the different threads and understand the relationships between them, I found the book to be very clever. I would have liked to know more background on Meg - something I would have known if I had read previous books. The beginning chapters establishing characters were a little clunky but again the rest of the book was interesting and kept my attention. I’m looking forward to reading previous Meg Carpenter books

Nice to have Megan back, and the author has created a very good case for her to solve. The disappearance presents lots of problems, including Megan being prohibited from pursuing a solution. But she has other priorities and gets to work detecting.

It has been a while since I had met Megan Carpenter and it was a pleasure to reconnect with her and the other recurring characters.

Just because it had been a while, I was happy the author added a few hints to make it easier for me to rearrange everything in my brain in order to pick up Megan's life without any trouble.

I also remembered why I love Megan so much and not just because of her good detective work. I enjoy to see how what she thinks is often the complete opposite of what she says and it's hilarious.

I also like it a lot when two detectives are able to see eye to eye and they can communicate without words and they can keep the banter going.

What I loved in this book is that two seemingly different events come together to build an amazing story. 5 stars

Thank you
