Eloise and Konstantin know each other but not the well. Konstantin is Eloise’s brother best friend from school who is deceased. Eloise is an heiress and Konstantin is a billionaire. Eloise’s mother cut her off best she wants Eloise to marry someone that her stepfather has set her up in an arranged marriage. Eloise wants no part of an arranged marriage so she leaves her home and ends up in NYC. Eloise has no money and finds herself taking a job dressed as a Christmas elf delivering toys in Manhattan just to get by. Konstantin spots Eloise and he is determined to be there for her and help her. When Konstantin first laid eyes on Eloise she was to young for him but now she has grown into an adult. He was very attracted to Eloise but because her age and being off limits Konstantin stayed away. This is a great steamy romance with each of the characters being just right for each other. I recommend this romantic read.
I received an ARC via NetGalley, Harlequin Romance and Harlequin Presents and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
Husband for the Holidays by Dani Collins is an older brother’s best friend/ best friend’s little story that was enjoyable, heartbreaking, and endearing. Tycoon Konstantin Galanisis is attracted to his best friend’s little sister, but she’s too young for him and is off limits, so he stays away from her. After the death of her brother, heiress Eloise Martin was cut off from her mother’s support unless she marries the man her stepfather picked. Refusing to be forced into an arranged marriage, she leaves her mother’s home, traveling to NYC. Left penniless by her manipulative stepfather, she's trying to just survive; taking just about any job she can find. When Konstantin finds her, dressed as an elf and delivering toys around Manhattan, he's determined to make things right for her; despite her objections.
This is a steamy romance set in the high society world of billionaires and old money, with just enough betrayal and deception. Neither one believes they deserve the other, but neither can they walk away from each other.

Konstantin, a hardworking and reserved man, is still grieving the loss of his best friend. One snowy evening, he is shocked to find Eloise, his late friend’s sister, dressed as a bedraggled Christmas elf. Knowing Eloise as an heiress, Konstantin is determined to find out why she is in such a situation.
After losing her brother, Eloise’s life took a sharp turn when her controlling stepfather tried to force her into a loveless marriage. Unwilling to comply, she chooses a life of poverty rather than be married off. When she unexpectedly crosses paths with Konstantin, the man she’s secretly loved since childhood, old feelings resurface.
Konstantin, feeling responsible for Eloise and her mother’s well-being, steps in to help. To uncover the truth about her stepfather, he proposes a fake engagement, but soon realizes his long-buried feelings for Eloise. As they spend more time together, Eloise struggles to hide her emotions, while Konstantin faces his own fears of love. Will they be able to overcome their pasts and embrace a future together?
This emotional, sensual romance explores themes of love, responsibility, and healing, with complex characters who must learn to let go of the past to find happiness.
Delightful brother's best friend romance
Eloise has carried a torch for her older brother's best friend, Konstantin, for too many years. Left penniless by her manipulative stepfather, she's just trying to survive by taking just about any job she can find. But when Konstantin finds her, dressed as an elf and delivery toys around Manhattan, he's determined to make things right for her. Despite all her objections.
This is a deliciously steamy romance set in the high society world of billionaires and old money, with just enough treachery and deception to give the story balance. Neither one feels they deserve the other, but neither can they just walk away from each other.
Eloise makes Konstantin want to tear down his fifty-foot high defense walls, and it's very sweet how she stands up for herself and for him, all but forcing him to confront his deeply buried vulnerability. I was completely sympathetic to both of them for the third-act breakup, though I do wish the reunion hadn't been encouraged by the plot twist the author chose. It would have been much more sincere if there wasn't the question of, "but what if?"
This is a well-done, if formulaic, Harlequin romance. You know you're going to get an outstanding HEA with memorable characters and a captivating story. If you don't mind the third-act being resolved with a very familiar trope, you'll love this charming romance. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Dani Collin’s has always wrote good stories. This one didn’t disappoint. I love how these 2 connected again while Eloise was working a job he never expected to her to doing. They always had love for one another.
I could feel the love these 2 felt for each other. And I loved Eloise’s mom! The epilogue was my favorite part of this sweet story.
The h is the sister of the H’s best friend. She has always had a crush on him. In order to escape an arranged marriage, she runs away and takes a series of temp jobs. It is at one of these jobs that she meets up with the H.

This is a Brother’s BFF trope with your standard Harlequin formula of a Billionaire, grumpy, manho MMC who did not have a great home life and is lonely in his wealth until the sweet virginal heroine reemerges to teach him what love & family is all about.
Our Hero here had a rough family life and grew up to be wary of making any lasting relationships or having any expectations that people won’t let him down. He had one BFF - The chosen one’s brother (aka Lusty 🤑. Aka Heroine) .
Now “Lusty” had a major crush on him from age 16/17 up until present and for 30% or so it is her lusting after him and him rejecting her over & over again which as a reader you have 2nd hand embarrassment for her and want to shout “Get a life girlfriend! He is just NOT that into you!”. 🤒
In the present, the Brother/BFF had died a year or so prior which left poor “Lusty” all destitute and trying to make ends meet on her own because step-daddy dearest has pushed her out of the family and going after her fortune! (Oh HECK NO!) 🥶
She runs into Hero during one of her temp jobs and though she tries to avoid him, she can’t help lusting after him - still. 🤦 Hero in turn drops OW he was having fun times with to rescue the damsel in distress. Why, I’ll never know but let’s suspend disbelief and go with it. Okay? 👌
Next thing you know, the standup guy that he is, he ditches the OW with some flowers & jewelry that all Billionaires tend to do these days (I guess? 😛) and sets out to reclaim “Lusty’s” inheritance. Yip·Pee!
First on the agenda though is to find out what Step-Daddy Dearest is up to which is a “Duh” moment ‘cause we KNOW he is stealing her fortune! 🙄 The greedy bastard! But yes, we also learn Step- Daddy wants to marry her off to an OM for whatever reason that must have gone over my head ‘cause Hero won’t allow his “Lusty-One” to be taken from him! So OF COURSE a marriage is planned to ruin Step-Daddy Dearest’s plans, and OF COURSE he now for some unknown reason lusts after her too and has always done but she was too underage and his BFF’s sister and there is a Bro code which is I guess nil & void since you know, dude is dead.
So then we have the deflowering and making babies before all is well in HP land and everyone gets their comeuppance and HEA.
The End.
Konstantin and Eloise's story draws you in and makes you keep reading to find out what will happen next in their story of unrequited love on Eloise's part. They are seemingly brought together by random events some sad, others joyous and often around the Christmas holiday. This is a great book for those who like to see the good ones win and the bad ones ultimately lose. I loved their story and highly recommend it.
A chef's kiss to Dani Collins for creating the perfect holiday romance in Husband for the Holidays, which features wonderfully drawn main characters, believable conflicts and dreamy locations. Although Eloise and Konstantin have known each other for years, they are slow to acknowledge they are each other's soul mate. I adored this fresh take on the brother's best friend trope.
