Drama, angst, and spice. What's not to love?
I read this book in a day because I truly couldn't put it down. Scottie and Finn are both very likable characters. Yes, they acted dramatic and immature at times, but they're only 18. I appreciate that they both went through some personal growth during the story, rather than just starting off as flawless, perfect beings.
My only major criticism is that the last 1/5 of the book seemed unnecessary. The book could've ended before that point. Scottie and Finn were together again as a couple. They had both grown and matured. The primary dramas in both Scottie and Finn's lives reached satisfying conclusions. The last curveball seems to kinda have been thrown in just for the sake of it, and not because the book actually needed it. But putting aside how unnecessary it seemed to me, I'm glad that the authors didn't give the main characters the easy solution to the issue; they have to properly deal with the tough problem thrown at them.
Overall, an enjoyable read that I'd recommend to fans of college romance. I look forward to seeing Blake chase after his dream girl in the next book. 😉
