This was such a great Christmas romance to start off the holiday season! So funny and such a Grinch vibe. The spice picked up in the last half of the book!

The first half is a typical Hallmark movie type of book… then the second half was full STEAM ahead.

Storee moves in with her aunt Cindy to care for her. Problem is Cindy lives next door to Cole, Storee’s hometown nemesis. Cole is a real life Grinch who hates all things Christmas. Will they resolve their problems and be merry and bright for the holidays?

Classic enemies to lovers and grumpy sunshine tropes with a Christmas twist! This was my first Meghan Quinn book and I enjoyed it. A classic spicy romance with witty humor.

This was the cutest Christmas book ever! I absolutely loved it! I adored the enemies to lovers and small town romance tropes with this book, and all of the witty banter between Cole and Storee. Cole's story broke my heart, but I loved reading about how far he came to let someone in again and find a reason to celebrate a holiday not only his family loved but his town as well. Also the poems that went with the chapters, just like the narrator does in the grinch, were top tier! I laughed out loud so many times. I definitely recommend this one!

Cranky and funny, this story perfectly captures the essence of Christmas and the holiday season. It’s a delightful tale of two people destined to be together, but the journey to that point is where the real fun lies. Another fantastic story from Meghan.

My first holiday romance of the year, and it has now set the standard. It was campy and silly and an absolute delight to read. The spice was a nice balance to the sweet, the banter was top notch, and the third act conflict wasn't drawn out unnecessarily.

I was impressed with the level of communication between the FMC and MMC, it was reflective of adults of their age. Instead of delaying or running from the hard conversations, they jumped right into them with honesty and maturity.

Also, the chapter intro poems are a highlight, along with the Narrator interactions. The whole thing was just so fun! I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a spicy and super sweet holiday romance.

I never thought I'd read a book that fuses the Grinch with spicy enemies to lovers, but I did, and I loved it. Meghan Quinn's How My Neighbor Stole Christmas is a romantic parallel of the popular Christmas movie, complete with a Christmas-loving town and characters with similar names and archetypes. One of my favourite examples of this was definitely Max, who is the Grinch's dog & accomplice in the film and the best friend of Cole - the Grinch proxy - in Quinn's story. Speaking of Cole... get it, like Coal? Because he's a grump? Okay, point made.

I loved how clever the Dr. Seuss-esque rhymes were and how they were inserted into the POVs and the narrative at the beginning of every chapter - they were usually extremely comedic and often made me giggle while reading. There was just a lot of laughing in general going on while reading How My Neighbor Stole Christmas, in general, due to the comedic Grinch homages and the author's writing style. Quinn absolutely nailed Cole's cynicism and Grinch-ness.

However, I will say that I'm a little unsure of how I feel about mixing a childhood favourite holiday film with a book as spicy as this, especially after certain *ahem* scenes. I may not ever view candy canes the same way.

This started out super sweet and cute. It was lacking the typical Meghan Quinn steam, but then it picked up on the last half. The Grinch is a great movie, so this was a fun way to honor it. I loved all the names. I think Max was my favorite, so I’m hoping his book is next. Meghan writes amazing characters and some pretty funny characters too.

This is the perfect Christmas romance book! It has all of my favorite things, spice, fake dating, childhood friends to lovers, and an adorable romance! I had so much fun reading this book! So many parts had me laughing out loud. There's a scene where Cole and his holly jolly sidekick dress up as a sexy version of the Grinch that will live rent-free in my head! The book was also really romantic! Storee and Cole had a built-in connection from having been friends when they were younger and I loved watching them fall in love again and support each other!

First off: I ADORE The Grinch. It's one of my favorite Christmas stories ever. And all the allusions to the classic were just so cute, right down to the narrator breaking the 4th wall. Absolute gems.
This story about Storee and Cole, two people with a slightly difficult past competing in a jolly holly christmas showdown to be the cheeriest of them all is just chock full of hjinks, small town lunacy, and adorable banter. I LOVE a good banter. Eventually these two do deal with the growing tension between them and it gets SPICY. The whole book is easily wrapped up in a nice little bow and the 'third act breakup' is minimal at best.
This is just a ton of fun. The spice is a little too much for my taste and the pacing from quarreling to lovers is a little off, but if you go into this just expecting a fun good time and don't get stuck in the details, your heart will grow just like the mean old grinch and you'll be singing songs and cutting the roast beast by the end!

In How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn, I found the festive vibe and the enemies-to-lovers theme to bring an adorable lightness to the story. We meet Cole, the "Grinch" of the small town of Kringletown, and Storee, his new neighbor determined to win the local Christmas contest. Their relationship starts with humorous and electric friction, especially as Cole, usually uninterested in celebrating Christmas, decides to compete with Storee to beat her at her own game.

What I particularly enjoyed was how Meghan Quinn brings out the humorous and romantic side of the book, building a relationship that grows from rivalry to a sweet romance. The Christmas magic is strong, filled with festive moments, decorations, and even some misunderstandings that add a touch of suspense and comedy. The characters are fun and endearing, especially Cole, who, despite his reluctance, finds himself charmed by both the Christmas spirit and Storee.

In short, it’s a perfect read for those who love Christmas romances with a mix of competition, humor, and warmth, in Meghan Quinn's classic but unique style.

Man, Meghan writes unforgettable books, I'll give her that. This book is no different, in that respect.

It pains me to say that this one didn't hit the mark with me. It has funny parts, sure, which I always appreciate. However, it was dirty, in a gross way, at least to me. I think you can be sexy, spicy, and all that, but this went just a little too far.

I did enjoy the concept of the town contest. I thought it was unique.

Storee rushes to Kringletown after her aunt breaks her hip. She hasn’t been back to visit her aunt for 10 years and she has some trepidation about returning to the town. Cole has lived his entire life in Kringletown. He takes care of the Kringletown reindeer. They end up competing against one another in the annule Christmas Kringle competition. Will they end up hating each other or will they find love as they compete for the title?
Storee lives in California where she works as an editor for a tv movie channel. Her life is quiet and a little lonely. She has been afraid to return to Kringletown after she caused an accident. She is concerned that the townspeople still judge her for it. I like that Storee goes from closed off to open to the fun and love of Kringletown. Her realizations about her past and the issues it created was well done. Cole lost his parents when he was 18. That loss left him closed off and led to him harboring ill will toward Storee. He might live in Kringletown but he never celebrates Christmas. I love the fact that he only enters the Christmas Kringle contest so he can beat Storee. I liked his journey from being closed off to embracing the town and falling in love with Storee. Storee’s sister is a nurse but I don’t think she added much to the story. Cole’s best friend, Max, was a hoot and helped to humanize Cole.
Story takes place in Kringletown, Colorado at Christmas time. This is an enemies to lovers, second chance, small town romance. It contains some serious issues but is laugh out loud funny in parts. I will definitely read more from this author in the future.

Meghan Quinn is a queen when it comes to combining humour and spice, and she's done it again with How My Neighbor Stole Christmas. This was the perfect start to my holiday reading this year. Highly recommend for fans of Meghan's brand of romcom!

This story was so much fun. I definitely picked up on the 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' vibes right away and the nods to it throughout the book were great! Cole begins as a vindictive grump, but really he's just a lot of bluster, trying to protect his broken heart. Storee begins the story kind of clueless, a tiny bit mean and absolutely self absorbed. It took me a little bit to warm up to her, to understand that she was feeling a bit lost and disconnected because of some of her life choices. This enemies-to-lovers story was a bit drawn out, though not exactly in a bad way. It just made the book feel a little bit long. The story is absolutely filled with Christmas cheer, which I appreciated. The Christmas competition the dominates the book provided lots of laughs and helps provide some time to cool down from the extra spicy scenes in the book. This book is a great choice for readers who love a spicy Christmas romp.

Starts off as a very sweet Hallmark Christmas book. You’ll be feeling the Christmas spirit for sure. But about half way through it loses Hallmark and goes straight steamy.

Meghan Quinn with a holiday romcom is pure perfection. The perfect laugh out loud with all the holiday vibes. For anyone who has been loving her “bridesmaid” series, this one is the perfect one for you. It’s the same feels and story feel just with all be jingle and tinsel.

⭐⭐⭐ 2.5/5

I'm very torn on this one, as a big Christmas and romcom fan. The relationship was cute, and had some very sweet moments. They even got a couple laughs out of me. However, there was a part towards the very end that almost made me DNF and just dislike Cole. I also feel that there is a line between cheesiness/quirkiness and just downright absurdity, and there was quite a bit of dialogue that I thought was excessive in this way. I know romcoms aren't realistic, but who talks like this?

Anywho, if you appreciate a year round Christmas town and sinewy men, I think you can still get a kick out of this.
