This story was so much fun. I definitely picked up on the 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' vibes right away and the nods to it throughout the book were great! Cole begins as a vindictive grump, but really he's just a lot of bluster, trying to protect his broken heart. Storee begins the story kind of clueless, a tiny bit mean and absolutely self absorbed. It took me a little bit to warm up to her, to understand that she was feeling a bit lost and disconnected because of some of her life choices. This enemies-to-lovers story was a bit drawn out, though not exactly in a bad way. It just made the book feel a little bit long. The story is absolutely filled with Christmas cheer, which I appreciated. The Christmas competition the dominates the book provided lots of laughs and helps provide some time to cool down from the extra spicy scenes in the book. This book is a great choice for readers who love a spicy Christmas romp.

This book was such a fun, spicy hilarious read!
It totally got me into the holiday season spirit.
I’m ready to decorate for the holidays and find my own grumpy alpha cinnamon roll of a man!

Starts off as a very sweet Hallmark Christmas book. You’ll be feeling the Christmas spirit for sure. But about half way through it loses Hallmark and goes straight steamy.
Meghan Quinn with a holiday romcom is pure perfection. The perfect laugh out loud with all the holiday vibes. For anyone who has been loving her “bridesmaid” series, this one is the perfect one for you. It’s the same feels and story feel just with all be jingle and tinsel.
⭐⭐⭐ 2.5/5
I'm very torn on this one, as a big Christmas and romcom fan. The relationship was cute, and had some very sweet moments. They even got a couple laughs out of me. However, there was a part towards the very end that almost made me DNF and just dislike Cole. I also feel that there is a line between cheesiness/quirkiness and just downright absurdity, and there was quite a bit of dialogue that I thought was excessive in this way. I know romcoms aren't realistic, but who talks like this?
Anywho, if you appreciate a year round Christmas town and sinewy men, I think you can still get a kick out of this.

Meghan Quinn does it again! If you’re looking for a laugh out loud spicy holiday romance look no further!
what a lovely read! this is my first read by this author and im excited to dive into more books by them. likeable characters, interesting plot and well thought out message. i would rate this 4/5 only for the fact that it didnt capture my attention as quickly as i wouldve liked

Meghan Quinn is one of my FAVS and she did not disappoint with this hilarious and hot holiday romp! Quinn nailed the top tier tropes of romance: small town, enemies to lovers, fake dating, childhood crush. This book was packed full of fun banter and sexual tension. I just LOVE Meghan’s books so much!
Meghan Quinn does it again. I was skeptical when I heard the premise of this book but I don't know why I doubted her. It was hilarious, it was spicy and it was more than I could have hoped. This book was what you would get if you crossed How The Grinch Stole Christmas with a Hallmark movie. While this book is centered around Christmas, I don't celebrate and still really enjoyed it. 5 stars.

True to Meghan Quinn's fashion, she kept me laughing the entire book. She is the queen of witty banter. I loved the narrator at the beginning of each chapter with their grinchy rhymes!!
Oh, Storee, I loved that she had zero filter and would just start rambling to fill awkward silence!! Conner, I mean Cole... he was so broody and a total reclusive. I could not stop laughing at his Grinch rendition and his pelvic thrust!
The heat between these two. Meghan knows how to write a spicy scene!!! I love the nod to her Almond Bay series!!!!
As far as I know, this is Meghan Quinn's first holiday book. With as many books as she churns out, that's surprising to me!
I thought this was mostly pretty charming. Cole And Storee had good chemistry and banter and I loved the premise of the competition and the Christmas town. But like many other Meghan Quinn books as of late, there's a lot of immaturity and cringiness that suggest maybe I'm outgrowing her books? I used to love them and laugh out loud but more and more I just cringe and wish they were better written and less frequent. And that, ahem, little plot twist in the epilogue? Completely, completely unneccessary.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.
I seriously loved these two! This was such a fun holiday romance, their banter had me cracking up and i loved how the book was narrated, it was so fun! Once i started this one i couldnt put it down. These two may have started as enemies but they were perfect for one another and i couldnt get enough of their banter. Seeing them go from enemies to lovers after spending more and more time together was so sweet!
Meghan Quinn brings her signature charm and spice in How My Neighbor Stole Christmas, a festive "enemies"-to-lovers romcom that’s best enjoyed once you’re fully in the Christmas spirit (imo). This book takes the classic “Grinch” story and spins it with a fresh, unique twist.
Set in a town that lives and breathes Christmas all year round, Cole is the ultimate grump who prefers to hide from the constant cheer—until his nemesis, Storee Taylor, moves in next door. The town’s Christmas Kringle competition soon becomes the battleground where their rivalry ignites, and Cole’s carefully crafted avoidance of the holiday season unravels in the most hilarious way. What starts as a plan to out-Christmas Storee turns into a lot more when sparks start to fly between the two.
I absolutely loved the moments when Cole would banter with the narrator—it was such a funny and clever touch. The competition scenes in the quirky holiday town were also entertaining. However, I struggled a bit with some of the dialogue, which felt a little too immature at times. And while we did get glimpses into Cole and Storee’s past friendship, I found their romance felt a bit rushed and would have liked more depth. That said, I totally get that this was meant to be a light-hearted holiday romcom, and it delivered exactly that.
I was tempted to give this book 4 stars because the epilogue pissed me off but my husband said he'd never seen me laugh so much over a book until this one.
I received a e-arc from Netgalley but because I waited too long to read it I was able to buy the audio and I HIGHLY recommend the audio. It's done duet style with a full cast and it's SO good.
It's delightful. A real childhood friends to enemies to lovers, all with a holiday competition backdrop.
There is so much good banter. First it's hostile, then it's sexy, and then the things coming out of this mans mouth...
It's also sweet and heartwarming and mixed with hotness, it's a perfect holiday romcom. I laughed so much, I swooned, I was kicking my feet.
Absolutely loved it, up until the epilogue. 4.5 stars rounded up.
This book was so much fun! I loved the Grinch theme with all the little Easter eggs sprinkled in!
The characters were really fun, the story was exciting, and I felt like I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading!
Also that spice 🥵 I will never be able to look at candy canes the same 😅
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Bloom Books for this eARC!
*As a bonus, I decided to do an immersive read with the audio, HIGHLY suggest! Theres a full cast of narrators and they all did a phenomenal job!*
Thank you to Bloom Books for providing me with an advanced copy of this novel via NetGalley.
This Christmas enemies-to-lovers romance is very How The Grinch Stole Christmas coded. Cole is a grumpy bachelor who prefers to hide in his house during the Christmas season. Storee, his childhood friend-turned-nemesis, moves in next door to take care of her sick aunt. Storee enters the town Christmas Kringle contest so Cole does too because he can't let her win. As the competition heats up, so does their relationship.
The competition and the banter were funny and had me laughing multiple times. I thought that it was too long and the pacing was off - the contests took up too much of the beginning and the relationship development was rushed at the end. The Grinch references were great and the little poems at the beginning of each chapter were great. Overall this is a fun Christmas rom-com.
Thank you for the ARC copy.
I loved this book! Perfect for the holiday season. The Grinch movie with spice. I loved the characters, the town and everything about it. I found myself laughing out loud several times. I can’t look at a candy cane the same now!
Can’t wait to keep reading Meghan!

Small town, enemies to lovers, second chance Christmas themed romance. This was pretty absurd even for Meghan Quinn. I wish the romance started at least 10% sooner than it did because the bickering between the two main characters got redundant. The ending felt pretty rushed as well. Also, the narrator commentary at the beginning of each chapter made the book feel like a Christmas special, which I guess is the point, but was a little annoying after the first 5 chapters.
I really enjoyed reading this Holiday enemy to lover romance novel. It uses the Christmas element and was engaged with this romance. I thought the characters were well written and worked with the concept being told. Meghan Quinn has a great writing style and can’t wait for more as this was a fantastic romance novel.
This will definitely be the Christmas book of the year! So good.
