Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of How My Neighbor Stole Christmas
This was such a fun read that will totally get you in the mood for the Christmas season. I’m a gal who is obsessed with Christmas movies and this hilarious Grinch-esque rom-com was so right up my alley.
The characters were so lovable (even in their grinchy-ness) and the spice was 🥵
This was my first Meghan Quinn book and I cannot wait for more. This was the perfect book to add to your Christmas TBR!!

I really loved the premise of this book and was super excited to get an ARC but (& I hate to say it) I wasn’t a fan! I think it’s more of a writing style thing and that’s why I didn’t enjoy it. Still so thankful I that I got an ARC. I know many will love this and that’s great!! It’s just not for me.

I’m finishing up my spooky season reads and moving on to my holiday reads and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off my holiday season reading than by diving into Meghan Quinn’s newest book.
Set in Kringletown where they celebrate Christmas year round, this spicy enemies-to-lovers holiday romance follows Storee Taylor and Cole Black. Even though she spent a lot of time there when she was a kid, Storee hasn’t been back to Kringletown for ten years She has returned, along with her sister Taran, to take care of their Aunt Cindy who has a broken hip.
Cole is a resident of Kringletown, and he and Storee have history, some apparently unresolved bad blood. Cole can’t deny that he is attracted to Storee though, even though he’s annoyed at himself for it. When Storee decides to compete in the town’s Christmas competition on behalf of her aunt, Cole decides to take part as well, and their intense rivalry during competition brings all of their long simmering tension to a boil!
This was just such a fun and sexy read! Enemies to lovers is one of my all time favorite tropes, and Meghan Quinn is one of the best when it comes to writing banter that is both snarky and flirty. I laughed my way through this book, loving all of the hilarious scenes between Storee and Cole as they tried and failed to fight their feelings for one another. The Christmas competition was great fun, and I also loved the nods to How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas was the perfect book to get me into the holiday spirit! Oh and if you’ve heard about the candy cane scene, it definitely lives up to the hype! 😉

5 stars
This book should be your next Christmas holiday read! It was hilarious, I was laughing out loud so much at just the high jinks, embarrassing and over the top moments. It still had some emotional moments that made me tear up some and they were really added into this book at some perfect moment and in ways that had such an impact.
This story is just so full of amazing Christmas traditions with some creative new twist to them, it was just so fun and magical, I would definitely want to move to this small town, with the holiday spirit year-round.
This second chance romance, hate to love and grumpy sunshine tropes had me eating this story up. It had just the right amount of tension, slow build and spice for this romance that I could not put down. With the added intense competition, it just took this book to the next level.
Cole was the perfect grumpy, keeps to himself MMC for this book. He was getting to the point in the book where I was not liking him for a small stretch, but he ended up being a perfect character and he really ended up being one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book, please check it out.
I received an advanced ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion.

Funny and steamy Grinch themed holiday romance. I enjoyed the chemistry between frenemies Storee and Cole. Perfect read to get into this festive time of year.

Meghan Quinn is the funniest author I have ever read. I have thorughky enjoyed several of her novels this year and having read this new holiday book from her was truly the star on top of the tree. I thoroughly ejoyed the banter in this book and as always, the characters were so loveable.

Book Review! Thank you, @meghanquinnbooks and @netgalley, for gifting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review!!! This book is out now and is available on Kindle Unlimited!!
In a town where Christmas is celebrated year round, we meet Cole Black and Storee Taylor. Soon, their christmas town will become their battleground when Storee enters the Christmas Kringle Contest, and Cole refuses to let her win, so he joins the contest with plans to be the most festive of them all. Sparks will fly during this competition, and grinch Coles' heart might just grow three sizes.
This book was so much fun to read!!! I loved Storee and Cole cause they had such great chemistry and banter! The ridiculous Christmas themed situations they found themselves in were hilarious and had me busting out laughing! If you're looking for a super fun spicy festive Christmas read, then I highly recommend!!!!

When I read the synopsis I thought that this sounded kind of cute and the cover was charming. I’m also a fan of Meghan Quinn’s rom-com stories, so color me surprised when I found myself seriously disliking this story. I’m used to reading Christmas stories out of season so I don’t think it was the holiday cheer in October. It just felt like the story was forced, the enemies to lovers plot (normally my favorite romance trope) overdone, and the kooky town characters that I usually find charming were just kind of annoying. Bah humbug, right?!!! I hate to hate on an author I normally like a lot, but this book was just not for me.

This book was so cute. I’m a huge The Grinch Who Stole Christmas fan, so I knew going into this book I was going to love it, pair it with Meghan Quinn comedy and you’ve got yourself an absolutely hilarious holiday romcom based in a small hallmark town where it is Christmas year round. I loved the Christmasy banter and who knew there was Christmas kink? 😂😂
This audiobook was literally everything. I loved that it was a full cast with even a specific narrator for the classic narrator from the original Grinch story. I especially loved when they broke the fourth wall and would talk to each other. Shane was the perfect narrator. And I absolutely loved JF and Vanessa as our grinchy Cole and jolly Storee. Rob and Emma added as the side characters made this an absolute banger of an audiobook.

Meghan Quinn does it again but better than ever.
This book put me in the Christmas spirit in the middle of October. I’m a spooky girl down to my core by the characters of Kringletown made me want to put up a tree and drink hot cocoa right away.
The banter between the two main characters is absolute perfection! I love the plot and the concept of a small town that loves Christmas so much they celebrate all year. The ‘narrator’ starting off every chapter was seriously a detail I didn’t realize I needed in a Christmas book.
Also, chapter 25?! If you know, you know.
I need Netflix to pick this book up and make it their next Christmas film because I would watch it everyday. I’ve already forced so many of my friends to read Meghan Quinn and now with this book people are going to be sick of hearing about her from me.

This book was enjoyable to me! This version of The Grinch was naughty! I felt like I was in the spirit of the holidays! I laughed out loud at Storee and Cole's teasing! It was excellent! The short poems at the start of each chapter were fantastic! I laughed because the narrator was hilarious! Cole and Storee are the epitome of what it means to be lovers' enemies! Although it burned slowly, the wait was well worth it!

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas had lots of banter, laugh out loud humor, well written characters, and exciting and inventive spice. I also loved all of the classic Christmas movie references, but it also became VERY cheesy. The reinvention of names from popular Christmas movies, in the amount it was done... Just, I don't know, unoriginal. I didn't care for it.
Unfortunately, there was just too much going on, so it didn't have the desired effect. I feel like she tried to throw too many tropes into one story. It just felt very needy, and it was a bit too cheesy for me.
Despite the treasure trove of plot devices and tropes, the pacing was so slow, and it made the story really hard to get into and want to stay with. If not for the banter and wit I probably would have DNF'd it, as I have a lot of other ARC's to read and this just didn't do it for me.
Overall, this was cute, but it was a miss for me.

This book is a loose retelling of The Grinch, delivered in Quinn's signature witty, fun, and spicy style. I absolutely loved the enemies-to-lovers trope and couldn't get enough of these characters!
Storee Taylor gets called to help her aunt, who lives in a town that celebrates Christmas year-round! She joins her sister, Taran, to take care of their Aunt Cindy. Storee hasn't been back in 10 years after a town incident. She was once good friends with the boy next door, Cole. But time apart did NOT make the heart grow fonder.
When her aunt forces Storee to take her place in the town's annual Christmas competition, Storee reluctantly agrees. Soon after, she runs into Cole, and their once-friendly relationship turns into instant animosity, leaving Storee confused. Learning that Storee has entered the competition, Cole decides to join in as well. Since the passing of his parents a decade ago, he’s lost his connection to the holiday spirit, but he’s determined not to let Storee win.
And so, the competition begins! From making eggnog and fruitcake to present wrapping and creating the best display of lights, the rivalry between Storee and Cole heats up—and so does their chemistry. This book had me laughing out loud and turning the pages as fast as I could. The fake dating twist was a delightful bonus, and the scenes where they were forced into close interactions were just fantastic!
Quinn delivers her spicy scenes with flair, and the banter between Storee and Cole was spot on. The supporting characters were just as charming and added even more humor to the story. Both Cole and Storee had to confront their personal Christmas issues, which made for a heartwarming ending. Overall, this was a solid 4.5-star read for me!
I highly recommend this to fans of Quinn’s previous work! Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the eARC.

This was more of a 3.5⭐️ rounded up. I’m not a huge fan of holiday stories but this really sweet and charming at points. The creation of the story centers around a Grinch Who Stole Christmas vibe, and it was cute how it all played out with similar characters, settings and themes. It was a sexy retelling for grown ups, with more heart and emotion suited to the overall plot. I think I would have connected to the story more so if I liked holiday books more, but that’s a me thing. I know there are a LOT of people who will really love this one. You can always count on Meghan Quinn for witty banter, great text exchanges, and excellent steamy scenes.
Thank you to NetGalley and Meghan Quinn for an advance copy of this book for review!

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn
🎁
Meghan Quinn is the queen of funny, banter-filled, spicy rom-coms. If she writes it, I’m going to read it and love it. This book was absolute perfection. The fact that it’s a Grinch retelling with a snarky Narrator who speaks in rhymes? Hilarious. And then add in a cutthroat competition to show who has the most Christmas spirit? Amazing. Storee has a ficus named Alexander and believes her great-aunt’s American Girl dolls are haunted. She’s an absolute riot. Cole is broody, damaged, has had a secret crush on Storee for years, and has an absolutely filthy mouth. I love him. If you want a slow burn Christmas romance that’s laugh-out-loud funny, full of shenanigans, and deliciously spicy, this is the one for you. P.S. I can’t believe Meghan Quinn knows who Snow Miser and Heat Miser are from “The Year Without A Santa Clause”. I feel so seen. Go read this right now and make your heart grow three sizes.

Thank you to Bloom Books, Penguin Random House, NetGalley, and Meghan Quinn for the ARC. I received an advanced copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

The audio is easily 4+ stars
The story for me is meh
My first annoyance was the constant breaking of the fourth wall with the narrator. It just didn't work for me. I enjoyed a portion of this, the competition and our mcs opening up to each other. I didn't care for her sister at all, she's a real c u next Tuesday. The miscommunication at like 90% is a huge nope for me. If made the ending so rushed and brought me out of the story completely.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

I'm a huge Meghan Quinn fan, and I was really interested to see how she'd do a Grinch-inspired story. This was another great book of hers. It had all the humor, wacky, spicy, and swoony moments of a Meghan Quinn book. I also loved the town and the people of Kringle as well. Not sure I could ever live in a town so dedicated to Christmas, but the idea made for a great story. This is a great holiday read to grab in the upcoming season, and I'd definitely recommend if you're a fan of her other books.

Christmas in Kringletown is a big deal! So when Great-Aunt Cindy breaks her hip, and her two great-nieces come help take care of her after not seeing her for a decade, she enters Storee in the town’s Christmas Kringle Competition on her behalf.
However, Cole, the boy-next-door isn’t thrilled about Storee being back in Kringletown and enters the competition to make sure she doesn’t win.
But Cole and Storee were friends growing up, so what happened between now and then? And how did Cole lose his Christmas spirit?
If I know one thing for sure, it is that if I pick up a Meghan Quinn book is that I will be laughing, swooning, and fanning myself!
The on-the-nose humor throughout is stellar! The Dr. Seuss-style rhymes, the narrator’s sass and their conversation with Cole took the book to a whole new level!
Storee and Cole’s fought, bantered, teased, and loved in a way that made me feel all their feelings!
The cast of side characters added a colorful layer of fun to the story, and they helped highlight the real, soft, and heartfelt moment between our main couple.
And the steam is, as expected, impeccable!
I cannot imagine a better book to start your Christmas season reading with!

This hilarious enemies-to-lovers story had me laughing out loud while also hitting me right in the feels.
After facing a tragedy 10 years ago Cole Black, the ultimate Christmas grump, is all about hibernating through the holidays.
Enter Storee Taylor, his old friend turned enemy and festive rival, who’s determined to win the town's Christmas Kringle contest.
Their banter is everything!
Watching their fake dating antics unfold is pure gold, especially as they start to realize their feelings are way more real than either of them expected.
What I loved most? The depth beneath the holiday fluff. Storee's journey of self-discovery while dealing with feelings of isolation and Cole's struggle with grief add so much heart to the story. Their growth together is super uplifting.
Plus, the audiobook cast is fire! Vanessa Edwin, J.F. Harding, Robert Hatchet, Emma Wilder, and Shane East.
I couldn’t put it down and finished it in a day.
If you're into grumpy-sunshine dynamics, small-town charm, and a sprinkle of spice, you NEED to check this out. Perfect for cozying up with some hot cocoa!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I will never look at a candy cane the same way ever again 🤣
Cole and Storee were friends once upon a time. But now they’ve become competitors in the Christmas Kringle Contest. It’s a series of competitions to see who can have the most Christmas spirit in town.
This book was soooooo good! Storee and Cole were so much fun and I couldn’t put this book down! The banter and chemistry between these two was perfection. Meghan Quinn always writes the most hilarious and spicy reads! Definitely an auto buy author for me!
