This was FUN and sneaky and sweet and lovely. While the romance was just absolutely stunning and steamy, I think this was all around a very heartwarming book. I am thrilled to have read this!

This book took me awhile to get into. I thought at first it was because it's a very warm fall where I live and feeling Christmasy was difficult. However, I think the real reason that I struggled was the poetry sprinkled throughout the book. To be frank, it was pretty cringeworthy. I appreciate what the author was attempting to do with the poetry, but it really did not work for me.
Despite the poetry, this ended up being a fun read. It's wild to imagine a town in Colorado that focuses on Christmas year-round AND has residents that are willing and able to do that. Storee spent Christmases in this town as a kid and made friends with Cole Black, the boy next door. Now, after some embarrassing moments in town and a decade away, Storee has not only returned but has been thrust into a town competition. Cole and his bestie Max decide to also join the competition in hopes of thwarting the out-of-towner.
Among all of the silly competition-related hijinks, this book deals with some heartfelt and deep themes, like loneliness and finding a path through grief. It had a few of MQ's typical LOL moments, a lot of steam, and also some heartwarming seasons that lend themselves nicely to the Christmas mood.

This book was the perfect mixture of ridiculous, hilarious, sweet and spicy. It’s set in a small mountain town where Christmas is celebrated year round, and every year they hold the Kringle competition to see who has the most holiday spirit. When the FMC Storee returns to town after ten years, she’s coerced by her aunt into entering the competition. Little does she know, her childhood friend Cole has a bit of a vendetta against her and decides to enter himself in order to prevent her from winning.
Storee and Cole aka Snow Daddy had me laughing out loud with their banter and competitiveness. The friends to enemies to lovers storyline was perfect and the spice was next level. Candy canes were involved. Throw in a bit of fake dating and silly Christmas poems before each chapter and it was all around a delight. I definitely recommend giving this a read during the holiday season and I look forward to reading more from Meghan Quinn!
Thank you to Sourcebooks Bloom and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

The thing about Meghan Quinn is she’ll always write a laugh out loud funny book, and this one was genuinely hilarious. Although it was a fun, Christmas romcom, it also pulled at my heart strings a little with Cole’s backstory. Overall, everything you’d want from a holiday romance.

THIS BOOK!!! I was highly addicted to it! I love how it’s a naughty grinch! I highly recommend checking this AMAZINGLY spicy book for Christmas time because it will heat you up in the cold months! I love Meghan Quinn so so much and this book didn’t disappoint!

What a wonderful read with great spice! I love an romcom and I certainly love a Christmas romcom. This is a must read!

Thank you to Sourcebooks Bloom Books and NetGalley for providing me with an egalley of this title to read and review. The opinions expressed here are my own.
I will be truthful and say I wasn't really ready for a Christmas story until I read this. Now I'm in the mood for all the Christmas tales!
I'll start by saying I am in love with this cover. I love the play on the Grinch so much. It's one of my all time favorite Christmas stories and I watch it every year. The story varies a bit from the original but it has many of the key elements that put you in the Christmas mood!
The romance between Storee and Cold is cute. There are some sexy scenes that made me a little hot under the collar, in a good way! I enjoyed the enemies to lovers vibe that turns into a friends to lovers vibe a bit later. From their backstory it was nice to see they realized there was more to their friendship over the years than just being acquaintances. I will say I would have liked to connect with the chemistry more. It seemed a bit forced to me, like there needed to be sexy so the author took it to the extreme to make it feel like a connection.
The relationship between Cole and his best friend Max was odd to me at times. Many of the actions made me feel like they were more of a couple as opposed to best friends. And it would have been nice to hear more about Storee's job to get more background of what her life is like outside of Kringletown.
The plot of a Christmas type of competition was also fun. I loved watching all the groups complete the tasks and how each team decided to go about completing them. It really brought the Christmas spirit to the book! I love a town that is Christmas all year round. It's so much fun! And Quinn infuses a lot into the story: competition, love, romance, rivals, craftiness, and a surprise at the end! Also, the names of the characters were great. I loved how they matched up with my knowledge of the Grinch!
This is my second Quinn book and like the other I enjoyed her storyline, her writing, and most of her character development. I did feel this story was a bit longer than it needed to be so there were times when it dragged. And I would have liked to see more interaction with the two main characters and the other competitors. That would have given the story a little more tension. And the addition of a third point of view for one chapter was a little odd. I get why it was done but I honestly thought it could have easily been worked into the MMC's and FMC's points of view.
My favorite part of this book was the outside narrator. I loved the interaction with Cole. Though I was surprised Quinn didn't have the same interactions with Storee.
If you're looking for a cute rom-com reimagining of The Grinch that reads like a Hallmark movie to put you in the Christmas mood, this one will do it.

How my Neighbor Stole Christmas set in KringleTown. Each year the town has a slew of holiday games...Enter the town "Grinch" aka "snow daddy" and a small town girl who wants to win. The grinchy banter was everything you need for the slow burn but
when it burns lord it burns! If you love Christmas, the Grinch and drama will love this cute romcom with all the grinch vibes and rhymes! Make yourself a peppermint latte add a candy cane 😉 and enjoy
with a little twist 🎄

Absolutely love the Grinch so I was excited to read this one. It’s actually a really great romcom spin on one of the best (IMO) Christmas movies. Of course it has the usual MQ humor so I was loling often. And the spice was excellent, as always. Candy canes FTW. this was a great book for a break from spooky season!

There is nothing like a man knowing where to put his candy cane… if you know what I mean (;
I am all about Christmas and I’m even more for it when it involves two people coming together for some friendly competition that leads to bending over and finding out where the tree goes (national lampoon reference).
Storee and Cole (aka Snow Daddy) grew up seeing each other every Christmas until there were 18. One terrible night for many different reasons led them to not seeing each other for a decade. But Storee is back in town to help take care of her dear Aunt Cindy and to win the annual Christmas Kringle. Cole, who was basically the town grinch at the time, entered just to spite Storee. One completion led to another and next thing you know candy canes are in places you would never expect.
Tropes:
- rom com (duh it’s MQ, she’s the queen)
- fake(ish) dating
- friends to enemies to lovers
- so much thrusting
ALSO, I am so thankful they agree that die hard is NOT a Christmas movie… come on guys it’s really not 🤷🏽♀️

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebook Bloom books for the advanced E-ARC of this title.
I absolutely love Meghan Quinn. She is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Her books never fail to make me melt with her swoonworthy MMC's, laugh with her epic banter, and sweat with her spicy scenes.
This book did not disappoint. I found myself laughing out loud several times. This is the perfect holiday romance spin on the Grinch. Fake dating, Christmas competition sabotage, enemies to lovers, and snow daddies prevail.
Meghan Quinn is able to bring the magic of Dr. Seuss into this retelling with her chapter intros. It is sexy and smart with a sharp tongue and plenty of heart. The perfect concoction for a holiday read.

This is everything I expect from Meghan Quinn and a steamy romance inspired by How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Her sense of humor sines through especially in the poem at the start of each chapter and the interactions between Cole and the narrator.
I had a bit of a hard time relating to Storee especially at the start of the book. The dynamic between Cole and Storee was entertaining along with the Christmas small town competition. Max (Cole's best friend) was my favorite. The character development and relationship developments between the cast of characters was decent and expected.
Quinn writes a spicy romance and the creative use of a candy cane was imaginative. This is a fun addition to any Christmas themed romance list.
Thank you to Bloom Books, Good Girls PR, and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

This story read like a lighthearted Hallmark rom-com, and thanks to the Christmas theme, it became a great foray into the Holiday season!
Cindy and Max made the enemies-to-lovers trope come to life. Paired with forced proximity and fake dating, it made for a lot of enjoyable banter and unresolved tension.
Definitely recommend adding this to your Christmas list!

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas was a fun, light hearted romcom. The characters were easy to love. This felt very enemies to lovers, with small town/ forced proximity. The added note of ‘Grinch-ness’, plus other movie references made this book easy and enjoyable to read. Meghan Quinn always knocks it out of the park with witty banter, incredible character storylines and well thought story. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity of being an arc reader.

Hear me out. I know we haven’t even made it to Halloween but this book had me ready for Christmas too, paired with my favorite winter wine. 🎄🍷
This closely resembles The Grinch, and I loved every moment of the holiday themed competition and enemies to lovers story here.
If you need just one little break from spooky, check this out! ❤️
thank you @netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was my first Meghan Quinn book, I truly loved it. Take The Grinch, but make it spicy, don’t forget the candy canes 😉
Our two main characters are enemies, competing in a Christmas competition. The banter and chemistry between them was great, I love a good enemies to lovers. I love the funny Christmas poems from the narrator, starting each chapter in a fun way.
This was such a fun and funny read, definitely recommend adding this to your holiday TBR!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Kringletown does Christmas differently and as the season is approaching the town is gearing up for the annual Christmas Kringle contest. Cole wants nothing to do with it but his plans get derailed when he finds out his nemesis will compete in her aunts place. Storee is determined to win and it’s Cole’s mission to ensure that doesn’t happen. Things get complicated due to all the pranks, lying and stealing but the competition isn’t the only things that’s heating up.
This was my first holiday read of the season and I’m so glad I picked this one up. The first half is all about the rivalry between Storee and Cole. Building up the character while they’re fighting it out in the Christmas themed competitions. When the fake dating picks up and Storee and Cole start opening up to each other the mood changes a bit.
I don’t want to give too much away but Cole lost his parents (TW) some time ago which has a big impact on his storyline. However there are plenty of hilarious moments and overall it’s a fairly lighthearted read imo.
The characters are likable, there’s a dual pov and plenty of sizzling kisses and romantic moments. I highly recommend reading it this holiday season.

love it. it’s giving naughty grinch vibes. we have an enemies to lovers holiday romance in a small town with fake dating, forced proximity, and it’s spicy!!!! what more could you ask for?!

How My Neighbour Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn is the grinchy retelling of my dreams and I couldn’t read it fast enough!
The writing was a gas and I laughed so much while reading it! The similarities to the Grinch story were perfect and I loved the inclusion of a grinchy poem for each chapter! The narrator popping in was hilarious, too! The third act drama was wild and unexpected and it fit perfectly into the story! The ending was amazing and I felt it was perfect!
I love a good enemies to lovers story and this one was so good! The animosity between Cole and Storee was sooo prominent and believable. Cole was rude and unpleasant and Storee was snarky right back. The reasoning for Cole’s anger towards Storee I feel was a bit misplaced, but it was also understandable. The banter between them as rivals was top notch and they played off each other very well!
I love the idea of a town that feels like Christmas all year round. And it having a town wide competition for the person who embodies the spirit of Christmas just makes me so happy. I’d mail that competition, just in case anyone wants to know. I loved reading all the various things they had to do during the competition!
Aunt Cindy and Max were such great side characters! Max was fun and charming and really into the Kringle competition. And Aunt Cindy was full of humour and spunk for a 91 year old woman with a broken hip! I hope Max gets a follow up book because I absolutely loved him!
The chemistry between Cole and Storee was off the charts. The spicy scenes were just so good and who knew a candy cane could be used so creatively 👀
If you like The Grinch, enemies to lovers, Christmas small towns and 90 year olds who like Thunder Down Under then I definitely recommend this book to you!
Thank you SO MUCH to netgalley, Bloom Books, Hambright PR and Meghan Quinn for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I loved this so much, and oh man was the spice spicing. I loved Cole & Storee, the banter between them was hilarious. I was rooting for them from the beginning. It was all around the best Christmas book of the year from queen Meghan!
