This is a hilarious and cheesy Christmas romance with enemies to lovers, close proximity and small town hometown tropes.
Bella inherits her great aunt's home in Peppermint Cove, a small town with an annual Christmas Kringle contest. She decides to make her aunt proud by participating in the competition but she didn't expect her grumpy, know it all neighbor Bennett to decide an outsider shouldn't win the contest.
And so begins a hilariously outrageous contest made up of Christmas activities such as cookie and candy cane making, talent show (a mean girls reference is made and I was howling in laughter at that scene) and Christmas light decorating. As Bennett and Bella compete for the first place Christmas Kringle prize, the sparks fly and Meghan Quinn did not disappoint. This a mild spice (π₯π₯π₯/5) open door romance.
Thank you Bloom books for the ARC.
I did not expect to love this as much as I did. My Grinchy soul loved every second of it. I canβt wait to get my hands on the audiobook! The banter between Storee and Cole had me laughing out loud. I loved the dual POVs, the little poems at the beginning of the chapters, and the persnickety narrator. I truly did not want this book to end. The spice is SPICY so sensitive readers beware. I, of course, had a blast. Dare I say Iβm a holiday book girlie now?? Meghan Quinn has converted me!

This was the perfect Grinch inspired holiday rom-com! I just love Meghan Quinnβs writing style. This had so much holiday spirit jam packed into it.. now I want Christmas to be here! I really loved seeing the progression of the characters and how they seemed to grow from experiences caused from trauma. This is a must read Christmas book!
Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for the arc of this book.
Such a charming holiday read!! I love the romance and loved the banter and the setting! Meghan Quinn always writes such fantastic romances where I feel so connected with the characters and their relationship. Will be adding to our library and recommend 100%!
π Book Review π Christmas came early for me because I have been wanting to read a Meghan Quinn book and this felt like a magical visit to Who-ville for adults. I learned the hard way last year how the death of a parent can steal some of the joy of Christmas and Cole is still holding onto the grief of losing his parents at the young age of 18. When Storee arrives back in Colorado to take care of her Aunt Cindy, she enters the town Christmas competition much to the dismay of the Grinch next door. While she may be in it for the spirit of Christmas, Cole is simply in it to make sure she fails and so begins the best enemies to lovers story surrounded by Christmas cheer and merriment that makes it impossible not to smile the whole way through this adorable book.

Meghan Quinn is once again the Queen of Rom-Coms. This Christmas themed romcom is over the top with Christmas. The town of Kringletown is a year-round Christmas themed destination that amps up around the Christmas holiday. The characters are all aptly named, which adds to the festive feel of this book! We see how Storee and Cole went from friend to enemy, to frenemy and more all while pursuing the prestigious title of Town Kringle. True to Meghan Quinn fashion we were given the spicy spices that we all love. The narrator conversations are the funniest thing!I love a holiday themed romance and this is a must read!
Thank you so much Bloom Books and Meghan Quinn for this ARC to review!
Such a cute Christmas story to put me in the holiday mood! Meghan Quinn can do no wrong.
I fell in love immediately with Storee and Cole. They are the perfect match for each other the the epitome of the grumpy x sunshine trope. Storee is the out of towner who feels lost. She is also the girl next door. Cole is the hot local who is a bit of a recluse because he is still mourning the loss of his parents. He needs someone to thaw his heart, and who better than the bubbly girl who he had a huge crush on when he was younger. Although his feelings were always there, he tried to push them down and viewed her as the enemy. Watching these two compete against each other while dealing with the scorching hot tension was so entertaining. When Storee needed help though Cole was there in an instant.
The way the story between these two progressed was both hilarious and endearing. Watching Cole break down his walls and open up to Storee was so sweet. Storee was so patient with him and constantly let him know that she was there to support, not to push.
The zany side characters were of course great, and reading the shenanigans that these two got up to made me laugh out loud. And of course, I cannot forget about the spice. Quinn is the queen of all things spicy and even though this book took place in the winter, it had me sweating.

4.75 rounded up.
Meghan Quinn has a certain type of romance book she writes. It's like a bit more spicy Tessa Bailey but this one takes the entire Cake. It's a more fun and wild Christmas Rom-Com. Definitely sense the dr. Suess vibes while reading. However Meghan is able to take that and make it her own. I think my only gripe with the book was that I was not ready for how much Christmas it is. Which isn't bad but I'm definitely more in a spooky mood. Once Christmas comes I will love this more for sure!
Storee and Cole book is about christmas with spiced and naughty with a little bit of grief of lossing a love ones and trying to move on and what a better way to get in the christmas spirit. Storee and Cole compete in a competition in hoping both characters can help the other heal
How adorable was this?!
This book is packed with all the festive fun and serious Grinch vibesβin the best way possible!
Cole and Storeeβs chemistry? Off the charts! Their banter? Sharp and hilarious! But they also had those emotional moments.
Oh, and can we talk about the little narrator sections before each chapter? They were so much fun!
I loved the competition between Cole and Storee. It brought all the laughs, but also gave us a front-row seat to their growing connection.
Perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit with a sweet, slow-burn romance that'll melt even the Grinch's heart!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and rate it 4/5 stars. Iβm a huge Meghan Quinn fan and if she writes it, I will read it. On top of her being an author I really enjoy, I absolutely love Christmas books and this one did not disappoint. This book is released October 15, 2024. Thank you to Bloom Books, Meghan Quinn and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this book.
This was a cute Christmas rom-com with plenty of idea to How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It was a spicy but cozy read.
There were some things mentioned way too many times (we get it, the MMC shaves his chest) and some that weren't talked about enough (the FMC was a movie editor and I think it should have played a larger part).
This got off to a slow start but it did read like a Hallmark movie and is something I'd recommend for someone wanting a wintery book with plenty of laughs.
Funny, flirty, and full of fa-la-la cheer! This new holiday romance is perfect mood-setter for the season and a classic Grinch redemption story! Highly recommend for fans of Sierra Simone and Julie Murphyβs holiday series!
I most definitely got the grinch vibes from the poetry some in the book and names. Quite hilarious.
I adored the characters and the especially the banter.
This was something different, but super cute. I am here for it.
Thank you Bloom Books for the e arc. Be on the lookout. PUB date 10/15/24
This was my first Meghan Quinn book, and after reading Bellaβs Christmas Kringle, I'm eager to explore more of her work! Itβs a super fun and festive holiday read that really pulls you into the Christmas spirit. The setting of Peppermint Cove and the holiday-themed activities were delightfulβcookie decorating, storytelling, and the hilarious Nog fest added so much charm.
The dynamic between Bella and her grumpy neighbor Bennet was so much fun to watch unfold. Their back-and-forth banter had me genuinely laughing out loud, and Bennetβs over-the-top attempts to challenge her at every holiday event made for some hilarious moments. What I really loved was how the romance between Bella and Bennet slowly simmeredβthereβs heat, but itβs a gradual build, which made it feel more real and sweet. Watching their relationship evolve was satisfying, especially as they navigated their emotional baggage from the past.
This is the perfect holiday read if you want something light, funny, and with just the right amount of spice. I could definitely see myself reading this again around the holidays. It made me laugh, it made me root for the characters, and it put me in such a festive mood. Highly recommend for any holiday rom-com lovers!

How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn is a friends to enemies to lovers twist on How the Grinch Stole Christmas- rhyming narrator and all! Cole and Storee were friends years ago when they were kids but in the decade that has passed since they've seen each other things have changed and Cole- despite his grumping around the holiday that his town is obsessed with, isn't about to stand idly by when Storee reluctantly returns to help care for her great aunt Cindy and enter the towns prestigious Christmas contest.
This story is fun, it's cute and while it's a slower burn it definitely packs some heat. All of Meghan's signature wit and charm is interwoven into these pages. Come on- putting two immaculately cut men up on stage in much too small lederhosen while lip syncing "You're a mean one Mr. Grinch" or a Happy Days themed nativity set are only something that can only come Meghan's beautiful mind.
I did struggle to really get into this book which isn't a norm for me when it comes to Meghan's writing. I wasn't really connecting with Cole or Storee at first and I struggled with understanding why Cole was so irritated by Storee's arrival to Kringle or why Storee seemed to have so much animosity toward the town and visiting it. Some insight to those feelings is addressed but it still didn't quite put everything into perspective for me. These two just seemed to be at odds in such a way that felt like way over the top but I did love the connection and draw between them as the story progressed and their relationship started to change.
This may not be a favorite of mine but it is still a fun holiday read.

What a fantastic play on βHow The Grinch Stole Christmasβ!
I really felt like I was a part of the community and having fun with everyone.
Storee gets tasked with taking care of her injured aunt in the most Christmas-y town that ever existed. When she arrives she runs into the town grump that happens to be her aunts neighbor and her childhood friend she saw many Christmasβs growing up.
If I had one note it would be that Taran never apologized to Cole.
I felt like it really was Christmas π₯° I need to read this every year now to get in the proper holiday spirit π₯³
