Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc of this book. This is my first Meghan Quinn book and after reading this book, I need to read everything by this author. This book is How the Grinch Stole Christmas meets a spicy romance book. This book is set in a town that loves Christmas. Both main characters have lost their love of Christmas and compete against each other in a town Christmas competition. The main characters have a history and it gives enemy to lovers vibes. I love how the narrator interacts with the main characters randomly throughout the book. This book is a great holiday romcom. Once I started this book, I did not want to put it down. I highly recommend you add add this book to your holiday reading list.
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas is a standalone novel written by Meghan Quinn.
Meghan Quinn strikes again, this time with a hilarious holiday romcom!!
This is a second chance romance between Cole and Storee. They previously liked each other when they were younger, but Storee left their little Christmas town to pursue her career, leaving behind a heartbroken Cole.
Now Storee has returned to help care for her aunt and is determined to win the local Christmas competition and the affections of Cole! The banter between the two main characters was amazing!
No OM/OW drama and no third act breakup!
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this title!
Meghan Quinn does it again! The Christmas poems had me laughing - they were so well written. The funny scenes started right off the bat. Storee was hilarious! Such a fun Christmas read with a little spice!
I appreciate the nod to The Grinch! A super fun Christmas book to get lost in. I liked the holiday themes throughout and was entertained with the story! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
This is the perfect Romcom for the holiday season. The Grinch meets the great Meghan Quinn romance books you know and love.
Storee has visited her great aunt her whole life until an even happens 10 years ago when she completely embarrasses herself and never steps foot into the 24/7 Christmas town again…or until her great aunt breaks her hip and her and her sister Taran have to go and take care of her.
Cole is the boy next door. He live right next door to Aunt Cindy. He had a crush on our girl Storee and now he is our Grumpy guy. But there are real reasons why. When Storee comes back into town and signs up to Enter the contest to be the towns Christmas Kringle he vows this will not happen.
I loved that we have the poem type in the beginning of the book and the beginning of each chapter like we have in the Grinch that stole Christmas. And I especially love the chapters when we have Cole talking to the narrator (Meghan). They really made me laugh.
I loved seeing the progression of the characters and how they grew from the experiences they had from their trauma that we didn’t see but heard about in the beginning of the book. Meghan never fails to amazing me with her story telling and her execution. I really hope she does another story in this world. I would love to see one about Atlas (aka Max).
Cole wants nothing to do with Christmas until Storee moves in next door. Storee wants to win the christmas for her aunt Cindy. They fake their relationship to try to win the contest...
Love the funny scenes. LOL moments in so many parts of the book. A riot from start to finish. A little spice in there too. :) Makes me look forward to Christmas!
Thanks to the publisher for the arc.
As soon as Meghan Quinn announced she was writing a Christmas book, I couldn't wait to read it. Her writing never fails to leave me laughing out loud from start to finish and this book was no exception! There are so many clever How the Grinch Stole Christmas nods from start to finish and such a cozy setting this is the perfect rom-com! I couldn't put this book down and had the best time reading Cole and Storee's story unfold!
Meghan Quinn is back with her humor and spice! Loved the Christmas setting and the fun plot. A great read for the holidays. Thank you NetGalley!
