Romance books are always great! I loved all the books in this series, this was probably my least favorite. But with that said I did enjoy it. The narrators were fantastic in bringing the story to life and giving the characters their happily ever after.

Sarah Ready books are consistently 4 stars for me. I don't know if she's got a formula she uses or what, but every time, they're good.
I have been in a contemporary romance FUNK for the last 9 months, having only read 3 romances, and those were out of force. So picking this up was kind of hard. I was hoping my funk didn't ruin this book or taint the story in anyway because it's not fair to judge a book that I would have normally enjoyed on my bad attitude, but color me surprised (but not really because it's Sarah Ready), but I thoroughly enjoyed this and had a great time reading it. And I think it actually kicked me out of my reading slump - not necessarily my contemp. romance slump, but my overall reading slump I have also found myself in (there's a lot going on over here).
This is fun. It's the book version of so many romantic comedy movies from the 2000s.
I love this entire series and the vibes they bring. Truly if you love any kind of Freaky Friday, Just Like Heaven, Maid in Manhattan movie from back in the day, you'll eat any of these books up. And shout out to Sarah Ready for publishing 4 of them within like 18 months.
Claps all around.

Once again, I read this series out of order. Still haven't read books one and two. But continuing on from three. My review is much the same as it was for the third book. I enjoy this authors writing. But I've noticed that certain libraries on Libby don't carry this author in ebook or audiobook form. That's surprising to me honestly. This author feels like she should be up there right along with Emily Henry and Ashley Poston. Again, I would recommend this title to others. Great story and great writing.

Wished is a very cute, magical romance. Anna is the cleaner that Max never notices, but after she makes a marriage wish everything changes. I liked that both Max and Anna are aware of what's actually happening, they are not acutally married, but htey have memories of a marriage that happened after the wish. It gives them an opportunity to see how it could be between them. So it's a romance in reverse, Max, in seeing a married life with Anna actually starts seeing her. Interesting premise that had me invested and turning the pages.

This was such a passionate swoony whirlwind of a story.
Anna’s life is about to change in an epic way, but is she prepared for what will happen?
Anna has worked for Max for years, she fell in love with him, even though he doesn’t know her.
Anna makes a wish, but the last thing she expects is for it to actually come true.
Anna & Max go on such an amazing adventure getting to really know the depths of each others souls, falling in love, while also trying return things back to “normal”
They are pushed to their limits, they fall even deeper, but can they make it back and if so, will their love still burn bright?
This was so full of passion, hope, healing & love.
I am so glad that Max got his HEA, that he was able to find a passionate all consuming love.

I really enjoy Sarah Ready's books. This one fell a little flat for me and I had trouble investing in this relationship. I will still pick up her next novel. This one just was not for me.

Thank you to NetGalley for the chance to read an early copy of this book. I love Sarah Ready and her books so much, I really do. This one...kinda fell flat for me though. Will that stop me from picking up her next book? Absolutely not. Will this deter me from recommending the book or her as an author? NO. She is a wonderful writer and her books are so much fun.

I"ve read the other book in the series, however I had a hard time getting into this book. While the narrator set a good pace, I still couldn't really feel connected to the story and characters. There were some problematic aspects to the love story/relationship btw the main characters.

Book number 4 in the ghosted series although you do not have to have read the previous novels to catch up with this one.
A pleasantly enjoyable novel, which I enjoyed via audiobook, I liked the narrator and the pace of the novel.
A lighthearted novel which centres around Anna who is a maid at the mansion of Max whom she secretly adores. By chance Anna makes a wish that Max would fall in love with her and amazingly this wish comes true. However not all goes to plan and Anna feels like her wish for love was not genuinely felt by Max and tries to reverse her wish

Every time I start a book by Sarah, I think I know what I am getting into. Every time.. I am wrong. This was my least favorite book of the ghosted series but I still loved it! There were so many surprises and worries that I had for Anna. Overall I loved that she just wanted Max to be happy, even if it meant that she wasn't.

I had a hard time really loving this and buying into the relationship. For all the reasons that the fmc had, but I just didn't buy it in the end, so it still felt forced.
The audiobook was well done, I just had one point that confused me. It seems like the our female lead has grown up in Europe, but is voiced with an American accent, it was a minor itch to my brain.

Reading this book and trying to articulate my thoughts has put me in a “reading slump” as many would call it.
It just wasn’t for me. I didn’t like any characters. I think our main female character having a physical relationship with the man that she wished into loving her felt icky and borderline nonconsensual…
I will say the way the author wrote our setting was beautiful and so full of life. One star is for the beautiful descriptions.
Thank you to the publisher for the arc through NetGalley! All opinions are my own honest opinions.

Just like Switched, this was a fun story with such an interesting and different turn of events, with a wish changing memories and feelings. I really liked the audiobook, I feel like these types of stories really fit well with audio format, and the narrator did a great job. The characters had a good backstory and personality, and maybe it develops a bit to fast, but I still really liked it, beginning to end.

"You made a wish on a necklace to see what it was like to live in my house instead of clean it?"
"You want to make love?'
"I want to make you come so hard you forget your name."
"But if I forget you... isn't that another sort of prison? I'll be sentenced to never knowing what I'm missing."
"I may have been able to pretend I didn't miss him. But I've not been able to pretend I don't love him."
With her ability to create magical romantic worlds, romance author Sarah Ready has written the steamy swoon worthy Wished and made our love story dreams come true.
Anna has cleaned handsome jewelry magnate Max's chateau for years. He still doesn't know her name but she knows everything about him. She cares for the books he loves, makes sure his home is pristine and loves him alone. When she finds the heirloom necklace that his family purports makes wishes come true she jokingly wishes Max would love her too. She wakes up and it's 7 years later and she's married to Max. "What do you do when all your wishes come true?" Is it real love when he didn't have a choice?
It was my first time experiencing voice actress Amanda Ronconi and her talent. Her Anna was heartbreakingly vulnerable and yet fierce. Voice actor Will Watt was swoony, sexy and scene stealing at times.
Wished is book 4 of the writer's Ghosted series. They are stand-alones though characters make fun cameos throughout the series. Ghosted, Switched and Fated (where we first meet Max) are just as magically romantic as the heart stopping Wished. It's the love story we all wish for filled with hope, sacrifice and love.
I received a free copy ofthis book/audiobook from the publishers via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

***Listened Aug. 20-25, 2024
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen to the E-ARC for an honest review.
My true rating for this book is 3.5/5 ⭐️.
Spice rating: 3.5/5 🌶️
While I thoroughly enjoyed the final 10-12 chapters of this book, I had a hard time wanting to continue listening to the audiobook for the first little bit - until the first event of the story happened - but once I got past that I started to enjoy it a bit more.
I thoroughly enjoyed the enemies to lovers and grumpy/sunshine tropes, but found that the romance was too mushy for my liking and the storyline felt like it was missing something.
Would I have picked this book up in a bookstore? Probably not, but I’m happy I gave it a chance.
Will it make it in to my top 5 faves for 2024? Unfortunately not, but it will not be on the bottom of the list.

I feel so grateful to have been given the opportunity to listen to my second early copy of a Sarah Ready book to review!!
Wished pulled me in from the immediate start! I really liked the story starting with Max's POV, his confusion to his 'wife' waiting for him outside of his office was such a good hook. And then we got to go back in time from and get to have the same experience from Anna's point of view, which helped the reader/listener piece together the information we did not have at the beginning. I also really enjoyed, as we got deeper in the story, how Max began falling for Anna while piecing together what was going on and how to get back to their timeline. And for Anna, she got to experience the real Max that she had only seen from a distance, who didn't necessarily meet her dreamt up idea of him, but who proved that who he actually is is someone worthy of love.
The back half to the near ending BROKE. MY. LITTLE. HEART! When Anna wakes up the next morning in Paris to experience Max's wish, that was genuinely very sad to experience alongside her. But proves that if you love something, sometimes the hardest thing you can do is let it go. But the ending makes up for that!!! The grocery store scene? The confessions at the end? The searching for each other when they didn't think the other was?
I truly loved this book and the plot of the story. It was unlike something I had listened to before, but will be seeking out similar stories because of it!

Sarah Ready does it again. I love these time travel/space time continuum disrupting romances. Anna is maybe sort of in love with the man who owns the chateau that she cleans. So maybe when she finds an old artifact in the house…..she makes a wish on that she were married to Max. So what, wishes are just that. Wishes. Unless……..
I’m not gonna lie, I fell hard and fast for Ellie. It was so hard to forget it was a wish and not the real genuine love they could have had it class lines weren’t in play at the start. The banter, the vulnerability. It was all so fun and sweet and seemingly genuine. I love the twist at the end even if it was a little predictable. It was a fast, easy, lovely read. I have devoured each book in this series and I will continue to do so until Ms. Ready is done.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
This was a fun take on when you make a wish - in this case instead of on a star it's on an expensive necklace. The wish was for love. Anna fell in love with Max the first time she saw him. When she wishes to be married to him she never imagined that it would come true. The only problem is what happens when they go back to reality and Max goes back to having no idea who she is?
This was a cute romance, little bit of steam, and a quick read. Definitely recommend paranormal romance fans read this series! This is book 4 in a series but can be read as a stand alone.

Wished by Sarah Ready is the kind of romance that mixes magic, emotion, and just enough angst to keep you hooked. Anna Benoit is a romantic dreamer who, after making a wish, wakes up in an alternate reality where she’s married to Max Barone, a man she’s been hopelessly in love with for years—despite him not even knowing she exists. The story dives deep into the idea that wishes, while magical, aren’t always what they seem, and sometimes we’re thrown into situations that force us to truly understand what we need—not just what we think we want.
The narrative is told from Anna’s perspective, and for the most part, it’s an emotional rollercoaster. I really appreciated how the story doesn’t just rely on the magic for drama but uses it to explore love, identity, and what’s real. As Anna and Max work through the situation, their connection grows in surprising, heartfelt ways. The unexpected dilemmas keep the story fresh, ensuring it’s never too predictable.
The audiobook experience is top-notch, with Amanda Ronconi absolutely nailing Anna’s emotional highs and lows. Her delivery pulls you right into Anna’s inner world, making you feel her confusion, heartbreak, and joy. Will Watt’s portrayal of Max was the perfect contrast, and I loved how he brought depth to Max’s character, especially in the epilogue—there was a moment that definitely had me misty-eyed.
If you love a romance with some magical twists, emotional depth, and a dash of spicy moments, Wished is a must-read (or listen). You won’t regret it, and I’d especially recommend the audiobook for its immersive narration and rich character voices. It’s a charming, heartfelt ride that leaves you reflecting on what love really means.

This is the fourth book in the Ghosted series, and the third one I've read. (Somehow I still haven't gotten around to reading the first one, Ghosted. I'll be correcting that soon!) I've read a couple of her standalones as well, and they've all been enjoyable rom-coms with a nice blend of humor and romance, along with a bit of magic. This was no exception. I loved the characters, the settings are fabulous, and once again Ready writes situations that feel real and almost insurmountable for the couple in question. With romances it isn't about the ending - it's about the journey there, and this is a good one.
Our couple is Anna and Max (we know Max from the previous book, Fated) - Max runs the family business, a high end jewelry empire. Anna cleans his house. She also has a huge crush on him, but he's barely aware of her existence - unaware of the extra little things she does to make his life simpler. When Anna makes a wish one night, only to wake up and find that said wish has been fulfilled, it seems too good to be true. Her life had been full of challenges, but as she and Max deal with this new reality, and a get to know each other in that reality, she's faced with a whole new set of challenges - including the fact that she's not at all sure she's really deserving of this new life and love. It's charming and humorous and thoroughly enjoyable. It can be read as a standalone, but I do think it's best read as a follow on to at least the previous book, Fated.
I listened to the audio version, which was excellent. Amanda Ronconi is always a favorite, and while Will Watt was a new narrator for me, he was equally good and I've already started looking for other narrations from him.
